Mecure Hyde Park Hotel was in a Great Location. Room was small but perfect for a two night stay, clean and efficient housekeeping. Staff were friendly and very helpful, as we forgot our phone charger and they sorted a charger for us straight away. We had breakfast included which was at the Bella Italia in the hotel it was delicious and we had a good choice. We will definitely be back.

Elevator was out of order for over 24 hours… it was tough for guests on the 5th floor. Management posted signs, apologising for this… they certainly should have done more, to compensate this inconvenience

Nice boutique hotel with great service. We went to another property under the same name and the staff was so friendly to walk us to the correct property! Restaurant on the ground floor served great food and saved us trouble in finding a place to eat on Jan 1st. Highly recommend!

Near Paddington station so convenient transportation. Clean rooms but very small. Elevator too small especially for luggage. Area is beautiful but has limited good restaurants. Mercury finally opened the cute bar last night we were there.

Fabulous location in a quiet spot very near Paddington Station and a short walk to Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Small but comfortable room, great bed. Copious breakfast offerings. A really good find! We'll be back!

It is a 5 min walk to Paddington Station for the train to Heathrow. The hotel is affiliated with a very good restaurant onsite. The rooms are small but we stayed in other hotels and had the same comment. It is London!

Just a heads-up: rooms are smaller than what you might expect if you're used to U.S. hotels, but it worked well for our three-night stay. Stayed here as a result of a failed booking elsewhere. Expected somewhat luxury at 500AUD a night and got a mouldy shower. Mentioned it to reception and got food vouchers. What I would have preferred was a clean bathroom. Overall for the price? Not happy.

When we got to our room the carpet was a little dirty, otherwise it was clean overall. We asked about the air conditioning because it did not seem to be working and the staff was not able to help much. The USB outlets by the bed did not work. The park across the street had been taped off. There were noisy people in front of the hotel at night which we were able to hear, but realized the outer pane window of the 2 windows was not shut, so just check your windows. It was nice to have the free items in the mini bar.

Terrible experience. Tiny ground floor cupboard room, dirty carpet, noisy and not at all pleasant. Could hear people showering above, pipes rattling, floorboards creaking. Water pressure for shower was pathetic. Dirty inadequate blind on window. Back door into Bella Pasta for breakfast was a bit strange. Neither good value or a positive experience.

This hotel stores bag prior to check in!! Great location! Lots around. I didn’t get the name of the lady who checked me in but she was very helpful! However the actual room was quite noisy (could hear other rooms and people walking past) and there was a smell coming from the bathroom.

The property is clean and in a good, walkable neighborhood for many things. The staff is professional and helpful. The rooms are very small but clean. Also, they say they have king-sized beds, but they are the size of a standard Queen. In the US and other Places in Europe, a King is a King, however, at the Mercure Hyde Park, a King is a Queen, and to actually get a King, you have to upgrade, and it's not one bed. Its two twin beds are pushed together, trying desperately to make a proper king. I was told by the staff this is the way it is in Europe, however, I'd just come from Iceland, and clearly, they understand a king bed is a king bed. Again, it appears that Mercure has its own standard, and that is not effectively relayed on their website when booking; therefore, I feel it's misleading. The trash along the sidewalks for days is also a bit gross. The breakfast was decent and easy each day.

We really don’t like giving bad reviews, but in this case we are going to have to make an exception. Staff are lovely, and the location is very convenient. HOWEVER - 1) The rooms are incredibly dirty - see the pictures of the bathroom pan and the stained carpet attached. 2) There was an awful smell in the bathroom all the time, we complained politely- and all they did was pour some beach down the drain. 3) Rooms are small, even by London standards.

Perfect location after SZA concert in Hyde Park, 20 minutes stroll back to the hotel, quicker getting there as other entrances were open and could cut off the corner of the park. Room was small but not a problem for myself and my daughter as it was only a bed for the night. Room, bedding and bathroom very clean and staff very helpful and friendly.

Best thing about hotel is the location. Easy to get to from Euston on 2 tubes and also great walking distance to winter wonderland at Hyde park (25 mins). Quick 5 min walk to the tube station to get into central. Hotel room was small no space to open case which is expected in London. Gave 3* due to the hotel room it smelt like drains especially the bathroom, we had to open the window while in the room to air it out however smell still lingered. Also unable to have a shower as the water built up and did not go down for a long time. Building works going on next door which woke us up at 8am, wasn’t aware until we got there. Overall nice hotel if drain system and smell is sorted. Would recommend short stays 1 or max 2 nights.

Room was TINY- I have seen bigger small rooms on cruise ships. Air conditioning did not work our entire 6 night stay. Complained multiple times to the front desk and nothing was done. Apparently the HVAC crew just decided their own hours and couldn’t be bothered? Only on my checkout, when I complained for a 4th time or more, was I even offered a fan. They never mentioned it any other time and I complained at least 3 times.

Friendly and attentive staff. First floor room with small window facing a wall, small, warm, tiny unvented bathroom but a nice big bug to keep you company, but don’t worry there is a Nespresso machine to give you coffee in the morning – or wait that doesn’t work either. not their fault, but of course they complete the experience. There were screaming nosey kids upstairs jumping off the bed and landing on our ceiling.

If I had known that the family room (with three beds and not the layout in the photo) was in the basement with the window where mid of the night deliveries and guests arrive I would have chose a different hotel. I wound up buying ear plugs.

The staff are outrageously rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. The supervisor admitted that a member of staff took a £250 holding fee during our stay without even telling me, this apparently should not have been taken in the first place. They said I should receive this within 24 hours which I did not it’s over 48 hours. I called to enquire to be left on hold, the supervisor was rude and talking over me and instead of being apologetic for their failure and errors she was defensive and disrespectful- a very low standard of customer service

Honestly, the rooms were great and clean. But what really stood out for us was the front of house staff! We arrived late on a sunday with our 2 yo and the staff were so welcoming and helpful beyond their usual duty. They helped me find milk at like 1030 pm for our kid which was amazing! Rooms are great but the staff are exceptional!

Small but clean and well-appointed rooms. Steps from Paddington Station with dozens of bars and restaurants in a one block radius (I counted six places you could get shawarma within a block!). Only major issue - they rent the rooms out for day use and when I arrived at almost 9PM they said the room wasn’t ready. For me it was only a short wait since I arrived so late but another poor lady in the lobby had been waiting for hours. If they can’t guarantee check in by 5:00 or so, they should state that clearly somewhere before you book the room. You shouldn’t have to pay for room for the “night” if you don’t get into the room until 9:30PM

This hotel rents out rooms which are not taken care of. When we arrived we were asked to switch to the sister hotel because our room was not ready. The room we were assigned in this sister had an air conditioner which was rattling. We had to go back to reception and request another room. We did get a room in the original hotel booked however that room has single pane windows which were not sealed and later when we wanted to watch tv, the remote volume and channel buttons would not work so we had no sound. The staff was sending someone up to check and no one ever showed up. It seemed that they are aware but didn’t care.

Unfortunately, due to a medical issue with my wife, we were forced to leave a day early. We coordinated with the Mecure staff and with our booking company, Hotels.com, for this early departure the day prior as it became apparent my wife would need medical attention. At the time we were given approval by your manager and Hotels.com and told when we checked out, that a refund for the unused day would be credited back to my credit card account.

The location is fantastic. Just a few minutes walk to Paddington Station. It is a beautiful building in the room was clean and comfortable. It took a while to figure out the heating in the room. The check-in staff were so friendly and helpful but the evening staff were not so much. I usually never get the breakfast included, but did this time and was extremely surprised and impressed with the selection and quality of the food.

The staff were GREAT and the location is very convenient for those wanting to go to Hyde Park and Paddington station. Get the breakfast option, you won’t be sorry. The cafe that provides the breakfast for the hotel is well run and delicious. The only complaint was how horribly hard and uncomfortable the bed was. Concrete.
