Easy check in, recently renovated/decorated room which was totally spotless, shower products and tea/coffee facilities included. Only downside is no AC so room was quite warm.

Property showed up as ‘Parking’ available but it really isn’t. Very difficult coming in middle of the night only to go out and look for street parking while it was raining.

No AC it decent size fans in room . Impossible to sleep as too hot. Great place if had fans or AC

The room hasn't any AC (Its lack of air). The shower is cheap and poor ( low flow), difficult to move shower to direct on your head and body. To open the windows-its another challenge, you have to use stick. And there is no lift in the hotel-shame!!! Overall - its not worth the money paid!!! I won't recommend this hotel to my friends!

Very clean. No elevator. No refrigerator. All good for a 1 night stay due to a 17 hour layover at the airport. Very close to restaurants and grocery stores.

Overall decent value for the cost, although be warned that rooms without AC and with just a very small fan the rooms (especially mine on the top floor) get extremely hot in summer. Also the fire alarm went off at 3am one day in my room and the front desk were not very apologetic.

Hotel is clean and comfortable. There is no lift tho and location is not that convenient. Good for what you pay for.

I couldn’t stay in the room I was given. Bad smell, too hot n no Ac to provide comfort. I requested for a refund but they are refusing to.

Pros: Staff very friendly and helpful. Room & building very clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Location was close to bus stop. Cons: Very noisy at night especially on the weekends. The second night I barely slept due to the loud vehicles. After that I bought ear plugs. No hot water for shower in the mornings. Showers were only warm. Only hot showers at night. Water will turn off if used too much! I had no shower on my last day due to water being off. The air freshener or cleaning detergent used was overpowering.The smell was too strong & gave me a headache which is a “me” problem and not a hotel problem. The window was nice to have for fresh air. One suggestion would be to add a couple of hooks in the room to hang coats. There wasn’t much space to put personal items.

Great little find. Very affordable but spotless and so comfortable. Couldn’t complain one bit

Everything was excellent, the staff were friendly, the room was very clean the bed was comfortable and the pillows were just right.

The guy at the reception was very kind and helpful. The room was fine and clean. The shower took way to long to get warm

Shower temperature was very cold in the morning. The stairs were in disrepair. 2 flights up, no lift. The stench on entering the room was like a stink bomb had been placed and i vomited in the old stinking bathroom.

The staff were incredible - very friendly. But the shower had stagnant water smell come back up and stunk out the apartment.

Friendly staff, secure, spotlessly clean, really comfortable bed and a great shower.

The room was very small and felt very cramped and not worth what we paid

I was taken in by the amount of positive reviews for this place. I wish I also looked a little deeper into the negative 1s. My stay was terrible. One of/if not they worst stays I have paid for. I paid for a premium room, room was fine had everything I needed for short stay. Room was located on ground floor right by the stairs and entry door. It was also in a different building from the reception. So you can imagine how bad this was. Noisy is an understatement. You can hear noise from all directions which meant sleep was a lottery based on how other guests behaved. You could hear everything from the rooms next to you, tv blaring, laughing, shouting, nothing that promoted relaxation. Entry door was open and closing on regular basis. Guests were thumping up and down stairs without any consideration for others. Floorboards in rooms above creaked when walked on, echoing in my room. Safe to say I got little to no sleep and left for an important meeting absolutely shattered. I will never stay there again. The only positive for me was McDonalds a stones throw away. I just hope others will benefit from my review and not go through same experience. A complete waste of money.

Very convenient in terms of transportation, bus stops right in front. However, the WiFi didn’t work in my room. I wished I would have been able to check in early as I was really tired from my early flight but it is what it is. Beware that you’ll have a bathroom but no actual toilet if you have a basic standard room. The toilet is shared which I didn’t like. You can leave your luggage the day of your check in and the day of your check out which is helpful and there’s a McDonalds right outside.

This place was fine and functional for one night, but I wouldn’t be rushing back in a hurry. Very small room, impossibly tiny bathroom - with no toilet and paper-thin walls.

I suggest you bring earplugs or noise cancelling earphones in case you are given a room facing the street. Noise is extremely disturbing, barely able to sleep. Better isolation would be the next best investment for them. Also, rather small room (double room) and barely any flat surfaces. You are always wondering where to drop your stuff. Except that, very clean, good room service and about 15min bus ride to big ben and areas. Mixed feelings about this one.

The room was pristine and very comfortable for a single. Just be aware, while it is ensuite for a shower, the toilet is a shared toilet down the hall.

My room was in the front with excessive traffic and exaust pipe noise. I had very Little sleep

Had a lovely overnight stay at Chelsea Guest House,very helpful service provided by Catriona and staff,Very friendly Easy check-in and check-out.We stayed in room 106 which was on the ground floor surprisingly heard hardly any noise from outside ,spotlessly clean,comfortable bed,lovely shower,we would choose to stay here again thank you

As soon as we walked in, the receptionist was friendly and helpful. After suppling us with information and details, we were directed to our room. Upon entering, it smelt ultra clean (thumbs up cleaners). Everything was there that we needed: Shower, shower products, coffee, tea, biscuits, hairdryer. Very convenient for the overground train connections to tube. Would recommend to stay again

Very nice clean, modern rooms with comfortable beds and nice bathroom. Our only complaint was that because we were in a room at the front the traffic noise from the road bothered us. We asked if we could change rooms and the staff were very helpful and obliging (thank you Agnes!), we were moved to a quieter room at the back and we were very happy.

Lovely friendly check-in, clean room in a good location to access public transport and for some small independent places to eat.

The receptionist was lovely, we booked two rooms both had brand new bathrooms and the rooms were modern and clean. The hotel location is easily walkable to the US embassy and Battersea is not much further which is a lovely area. Great value for money, very convenient, we would definitely stay here again

Very helpful staff, and clean hotel. About a 15 minute walk from Clapham North tube, and 5 minute bus ride from Clapham Junction, so conveniently located. Wandsworth Road is a little busy, but apart from that great!

For a budget hotel this was by far the best I have stayed in. It appeared newly refurbished and the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and the shower worked well . On a direct bus route from Waterloo Station as well.

Stayed for 2 nights whilst incorporating sight seeing with a visit to US Embassy. Check in was quick and receptionist was very freindly and showed us the way to our room. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Stayed during a warm spell of weather so room was very warm but a fan had been provided in the room. Our room was towards the back of the accommodation on the side. Even so if window was open even slightly road traffic and aircraft noise could be heard. No food served here but a good comfortable stay and rates were good. Bus stops virtually right outside in both directions. Would stay here again.

Great location - we were heading to a gig at Brixton Academy. Train station 2 min walk. Handy to have a McDonald’s on your doorstep for a quick bite to eat at any time. Spotlessly clean room and bathroom. Very comfortable. Not the biggest twin room but fine for our needs. Nice to have a kettle etc. for a cuppa in the morning. Noise from the road could impact some especially if you want the window open but it’s on a main road in London so it should expected at all hours! Would not hesitate to stay again if we’re heading to O2 academy.

Nice smart and comfortable with no bells and whistles. We were warm and clean for a comfortable night sleep. Area is not the best at night but mcds next door helps with breakfast.

A good place, like the location close to everything. Buses at the door step, very easy access to the rest of the city by bus. Took us like 30 min to get to central London which was great, the buses are very regular even during the weekend. The place was clean, and the check in and out was very easy. It is a little noisy, so if you are a lighter sleeper get tampons for your ears. Bu comfortable room and quite warm which was nice in the winter

Avoid the ground floor rooms as it is like sleeping in reception. There is nothing close by except for McDonald’s drive thru which we could see, hear and smell from our room. Carpets in rooms are dark blue and feel tacky. Wardrobes open fronted so no excuse for them to be dusty. Reception is a desk and phone surrounded by suitcases. No discernible facilities so McDonald’s breakfast or nowt. Large dumpsters outside which were being rooted through at various times of the afternoon and evening. Think we missed some inside tricks with this place as there must be nicer rooms upstairs and in the annexed building. It’s a £7 taxi ride to either Stockwell or Clapham North tubes stations. Bathroom was warm modern and clean but very small. TV was tiny and placed high up near the ceiling for some reason. Didn’t see any staff really but heard them.

Location to central London was great .Also a fast food next door was very convenient Room was good size . Stayed two nights in September.

The property and staff was excellent. Our triple room was very clean and updated. Nice bathroom. Perfect for the two nights we were there. With the exception of a McDonalds next door there was limited dining open in the areas.

It was OK a bit disappointed they did not do a breakfast. Like a lot of Guest Houses in London adding more rooms by removing the kitchen and breakfast room.
