I regularly stay at this hotel and find it meets my needs. Gym is good and the pool is a bonus, whilst it is small and could do with a refurb, nice enough for a quick dip after work. (Gym staff provide locks and towels for hotel guests) On this instance I requested to stay on the ground floor as recent stays in rooms on the first and second floors and they were unbelievably hot. Ground floor room was fine and met my needs perfectly. Bar is well stocked and food options plentiful. Staff always pleasant and welcoming.

I regularly stay at this hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bar area is nice and food menu is good. Pool, rooms and hallways could do with refurb but are ok. Shower curtains feel old fashioned now and plumbing is often noisy. There is also a general lack of AC in rooms and fans are insufficient replacement. In general its fine, hence my regular return. One comment - car park charge of £7per night is extortionate, its not like they lack space.

Staff right across were really helpful, with a very welcoming ‘can do’ approach. The health club facilities are very good - steam room, sauna, hot tub, and swimming pool. There is plenty of space in this hotel.

Just an over night stop en-route to Devon. We arrived around 2100. Have a good dinner and service was great! Room was good. Shame the pool wasn't open in the evening and not in the morning when my daughter wanted to swim (0700-0900). Parking wasn't free either but apart from that, a good stay!

The Staff were very friendly at attentive, check in and check out was smooth and simple. The facilities are well maintained, the room was clean and very comfortable and the level of service was excellent.

When I arrived i was given my room key. Went to the room only to find that the key wasnt programmed so had to go back. I got it programmed and went to my room. When i entered the room i was amazed to find a glass on the desk with lipstick on it and one of the towels had been used. I had to check the wardrobe to make sure i hadnt been put in someone elses room. I will admit that the reception staff were good and put me in a different room when i complained. They advertise this as a 4 star hotel i wouldnt give it that many, to be honest with the rooms etc it is just like an expensive Premier Inn.

Nice hotel, got upgraded room which was a pleasant surprise and room was clean and well doctorated. Only downside was the pillows which weren’t very comfortable which resulted in a poor nights sleep. Breakfast was also good

It was too near a motor way could hear traffic noise. Room needs updating and bathroom. When you are staying at this hotel you have to pay for parking, no biscuits or water in room.

Hotel is nice enough condition wise. But the rooms were unbearably hot. The window opens an inch and there was a desk fan in the room. Ultimately led to a terrible boiling hot night sleep and it was only 20-21 degrees outside. Not good

Hotel was okay, no air conditioning so room was very hot, had to leave the windows open so was noisy from the traffic. No fridge in the room which would have been nice, also a very basic coffee and tea selection, no water in the room. Also the room could have been cleaner.

The Hotel has a flat roof and the rooms were unbearably hot we did ask for a different room but were told the hotel was fully booked we were provided with a cooler for the room which helped a little but still the room was extremely hot and very uncomfortable for 26 degrees outside to become 38 degrees in the room the staff on the desk were very apologetic and very nice but i am sure they know about this problem with the flat roof would stay there again as great location but not in the summer months.

Reception staff were friendly and professional. The room (230) was lovely and clean. Lunch in the bar was excellent and once again the staff were friendly. Breakfast was just as pleasant. My only moan is that I dont think residents should have to pay for parking. 9/10 thanks.

The hotel is not in a great condition, and is starting to show its age. We had extremely noisy neighbors who were up all night, I tried to call down to reception but no one answered, so went down but again no one to be found.

I had made enquiries regarding accessibility to the swimming pool & changing rooms for peace of mind prior to our stay as I have mobility issues but these were unanswered. On checking in we were put on the first floor despite the lift being out of order. We asked how many steps, the answer was just one flight which doesn’t answer the question. And in fact, it turned out to be two flights of stairs. The Bar Grill Restaurant was understaffed on the first night resultung in long waits, no shows & refunds. However, it's a lovely hotel in quiet surroundings. Very clean and nice decor throughout. The room was the same and also comfortable. Good breakfast, good selection a nice food. The big plus point was the staff, very friendly, polite & professional. They made the stay a good one despite the issues which wouldn't stop us returning.

Overall It was a really disappointing experience staying in Leonardo Hotel Cheltenham. - The service is just terrible. Everything required us to call multiple times to get done, even getting an extra towel. - The second day as we left for our Cotswolds trip we put the clean our room tag outside the door and also mentioned to the Reception that room should be cleaned. We come back 8 hrs later to a dirty room and bathroom. Upon Calling multiple times someone came to just hand us extra towels..and half heartedly made the bed. It was simply unacceptable. - Restaurant has a striped down menu, not enough options.

Staff are very attentive friendly and welcoming. Pleasant hotel and excellent value for money. Only downside is this hotel is on outskirts of Cheltenham but only a £12 taxi away from centre, but not suitable if looking for central location to walk from.

A tired hotel, dreadfully understaffed, with a breakfast offering that could only be described as calamitous at best, woeful at worst. Giving an old hotel a fancy new red sign only goes to paper over the obvious cracks that are ruining a once lovely hotel. Genuinely never again.

Hotel was nice, staff polite front of house looks great and welcoming Dinner AVOID - over priced, pricing not clear on menu. Some items on kids menu, not suitable for young children. £5 for corn on the cob side that read as if it was included in the kids meal, mushy and chargrilled so not palatable. Breakfast Nice - although at busy periods not all items avaliable. Appear kitchen could not keep up. Room Nice room, clean tidy, everything you need, bed a bit hard for us though. Pool - nice that its available but wouldn't recomend. Water was cloudy and uninviting.

The hotel is very clean and their code of sustainability and cleanliness is very clear and worked to every day. The staff were all very helpful. The pool area was again very well kept and clean. The only problem I have is that they use hot plates to keep breakfast warm and this dries out the food very quickly. The eggs were a disaster.

Property was great, but unfortunately the restaurant seemed to be having a bad evening. It was very slow (approx 1 hr wait for food) and one dish was terrible. It was supposed to be a curry but I think they didn’t have it so they gave us what looked like frozen veg heated up with some spice mixed through it. They didn’t charge us for this dish later when we paid, but it spoiled our dinner for sure. The kitchen should have owned up to not having it rather than making up something else which wasn’t even close to being what was described on the menu.

Staff etc and room were all good. I think the quality of the food leaves a bit to be desired. I went to dinner for 19:30 hours so early. They had run out of a number of dishes. Ehat kind of establishment does not have enough food in for a Friday evening. Very poor

The hotel itself is very good. The breakfast needs to be improved on. Eggs replenished regular as fried eggs look plastic over cooked. This is the only hotel I have stayed in that does not offer a choice of coffees, cappuccino, lattes with breakfast. Unless you pay extra. Rates are such that these choices should be available.and included with breakfasts.
