Hard Rock Hotel Cancun - All Inclusive

This place was an absolute blast to stay at. I will say that the vibe here was unlike any other all inclusive that I've stayed at before. Everyone from the employees to the other guests were friendly, fun, and great to be around. The pool here is the best I've ever experienced. Plus, I love that there was two swim up bars. Oh, and the foam party was unreal, so much fun. The drinks were plentiful and all tasted great. I have zero complaints about any of the food served here. Every day they had different things that they would cook out by the pool. They were grilling fresh seabass over fire and it was the best fish I've ever had. Room service was fast and prompt. All of the restaurants were great, but Toro definitely stole the show. Oh, and they had a Mexican night on the rooftop and were making phenomenal tacos and other dishes. If you're worried about how many total restaurants there are, know that they are also constantly cooking other things. I will say, however, that the greatest thing about this resort was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, always smiling, and not once ever made me feel unwanted there. Big shout out to everyone working at this resort. Now, I had two minor complaints, but should in no way steer you away from this place. The first is that you need to be prepared to get several time share pitches. The other is the resort is in need of renovations. It is a very nice resort, but it is definitely showing it's age.

The beach at this location is awesome

Good all inclusive property. There was sea weed when I visited the beach during August so check in advance. The property has a weekly schedule of activities and an amazing pool. It is both family and adult friendly.

The Staff was EXCELLENT The Food was GOOD Our only COMPLAINT was the inside of the RESORT was EXTREMELY HOT. All the Wedding Guest Complained about that.

We enjoyed our stay here but thought the hotel was just average. The room was always hot and there plumbing issues above the usual in Mexico. There was not much waitstaff around the pool. Our waiter at the beach, Angel, was great. There also is no outdoor seating/bar area for an evening drink. It is all inside with not much beach view. We loved the Hard Rock in Cabo, but won’t be back to this on in Cancun.

Construction crews making noise and smelling of chemicals. Only one elevator working making it a safety hazard in case of a fire evacuation. Workers need more supervision when it comes to preparing meals, for instance the steaks were salty, Hard Rock Cancún is not a five star hotel anymore.

Beautiful hotel !!! Just prepared to get up early and put towels on the sunbeds because people got crazy for them .

Staff was so friendly and provided excellent service. Rooms were not as spacious as HR punts cana. Beach was great. Soft sand. Beautiful water. Pool was also great. Entertainment was excellent. Took off one star as the Family suite was not really a suite but two connecting rooms would have given 4.5 if possible.

The hotel was great but in all restauran its no air conditioning super hot terrible all week in all restaurants

The worst hotel I've ever been. Old and dirty hotel. The rooms do not have ventilation, the floor, walls, bed are wet due to high humidity. It's impossible to live in it, we left on the first day

Awesome resort. Only issue was the smell of the water you bathe in it smells like sewage

Plumbing is clearly old, hot water comes with a distinct yellow tinge and an odd odor that makes the room smell musty. We tried to use the hot tub in the room and the water was a nasty shade of yellow. Staff was friendly and the food was ok. Would not likely return due to musty room smell and the water.

The a/c wouldn’t function i called several times and it wouldn’t work consistently. Also the water faucet broke in the middle of the night, maintenance came to fix the faucet but housekeeping took an extra day to come and clean the flooded floor. This of course is a hazard during the night to walk to the restroom.

The resort was clean and has many fun areas to hang out. The staff was friendly and the rooms were always clean.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and overall quality of the hotel. Our room was spectacular and immaculately clean with an incredible view of both the beach and the pool. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our trip truly special. I would highly recommend this hotel to family, friends, and for romantic getaways.

The room was somewhat updated but it lacked drawers to put clothing in. The double sink and mirror are perfect for two ppl getting ready at the same Time. Jacuzzi in the middle of the room is kinda pointless unless you’re a couple. The view from the ocean front was amazing. It was a hit or miss with bar staff at the pool bar. Our waiters at dinner and breakfast were very friendly and efficient. Staff in general very nice. The time share staff were very push that at one point needed to hang up on them after they would not take no for an answer. If you want to do an excursion might be worth doing the time share and negotiate the perks they give you. We were offered a free cenotes, and Chichen Itza tour eventually. The best restaurants in order are Italian, seafood, and Japanese. The buffet was nothing special. The mid day tacos were always fresh and amazing. Over all the resort was nice, entertainment was hype, and not a big walk to get to one side or the other. Beach was so nice and no seaweed when we arrived and when it did come in was cleaned up immediately. Daily cleaning was okay, if you did not leave room before they came you had to call them to come clean and restock. Bars and hard liquor shut down at 1am which sucks if he wanted to keep going. Only beer in the room no hard liquor.

Great location and service. The rooms are a little bit outdated and worn. It gets loud if you stay in the third floor right above the lobby area since there is live music and a DJ every night until around 1 AM. The pool area and beach are amazing as well as the food. The only thing that I did not like is how pushy they can get to make you attend a presentation about becoming a member of their properties

Rooms are great, only problem was the room for my first night was too close to the elevator and a service door, we got too much noise during the night. But we change the room and was perfect

Clean room but given a balcony that literally was the view of the snack bar…. Probably worse view possible at the hotel and they told me no other rooms were available for my stay. Room 476 to be specific try to avoid if you want to actually sit in your balcony. Only one elevator was working in the side of the hotel I was on. Had to take the stairs if I didn’t want to wait 5 minutes. Everything else was perfect other than you have to pay 35% service fee if you try to use your resort credits so skip out on the resort credits if you decide you just want to relax

Loved everything except the portion where they offer discounts to sit a speak to someone to offer a vacation club. NO MEANS NO not well how about this or can you afford that NOOOOO. Extremely pushy and didn’t make the hotel look good at all

Disappointed and Misled: A Review of Hard Rock Hotel Cancun My recent stay at Hard Rock Cancun was a string of disappointments wrapped in a sales pitch. From the moment we arrived, the staff asked if it was our first time—only to pass us off to someone offering “free amenities” in exchange for attending a breakfast presentation. What followed felt more like a timeshare ambush than hospitality. The breakfast, marketed as part of our welcome experience, resembled a subpar Holiday Inn buffet. We were seated with a representative who asked intrusive questions about our family, travel spending, and lifestyle—all clearly aimed at data collection. From there, we were escorted around the property with the goal of locating an elusive “club member” to vouch for the experience. Spoiler: no such member was found. Eventually, we were taken to view a suite with inflated pricing—followed by a bait-and-switch comparison showing what it would cost if we joined their program. The finale involved a manager behind a malfunctioning door attempting to close the deal. It felt more like being hustled than hosted. Beyond the aggressive pitch, the room itself had issues. The jacuzzi we were excited to use produced dirty, dark brown bubbles (video attached). Elevators were rundown, poorly ventilated, and uncomfortably hot. And Toro, the restaurant we dined at our final night, featured dated décor with worn purple carpeting—hardly the upscale vibe Hard Rock promotes.

All of the staff at the Hard Rock Hotel were incredibly kind and welcoming, but Jesus at the concierge desk truly stood out. He was consistently helpful, patient, and genuinely thoughtful, always ready to guide us with anything we needed throughout our stay. His warm attitude made everything easier and added an extra touch of comfort to our trip. We also tried several restaurants at the hotel, and Frida was by far the best. The food, atmosphere, and service there were on another level compared to the others. Overall, the whole team was wonderful, but Jesus was really a great one—someone who made our experience even better. We’re truly grateful for all his help!

My top complaint, the staff is so pushy about trying to get you to sign up for their membership program.I tried to skip the meeting and the gentlemen who signed us up came to look for us on the beach to reschedule the meeting!! That is after they called our room at 8:30 in the morning on a Saturday! He also contacted my cell phone, it was borderline harassment which I didn’t appreciate. We kindly tried to decline the meeting, didn’t want to take any of the perks they offered but reluctantly we rescheduled for Sunday at 8 AM. We met the rep and I immediately told him I wasn’t purchasing anything so if we can get it over with as quickly as possible that would be great. It was a lot of information to take in which wasn’t so clear, it also costs a lot of money definitely out of my league. After telling our main guy no I wasn’t interested, he brought in a back up to try and change our minds; then after him came someone else! Once I told them I wasn’t giving a a $1, repeatedly, they let us go. It was awkward and uncomfortable. Then we were instructed to take our forms and go claim our gift which was a day bed on the beach, these beds are placed furthest from the water. We finally just were glad to leave and escape them we didn’t even claim the “gift.” Then when you check out another man tries to sell you something similar. Had to forcefully repeatedly tell the man no, again. This location is also very small, would never go back. Didn’t experience this in HR Punta Cana.

We truly enjoyed our vacation at the resort; however, we were bothered by persistent pressure from the membership staff. From the very first day, a representative approached us, trying to sell spa and beauty salon services—encouraging us to use our $200 resort credit. We politely explained that we weren’t interested and simply wanted to relax and enjoy our stay. Despite our refusal, she continued to push other offers, including a dolphin swim experience. After we firmly declined, she abruptly led us to the elevator and walked away without showing us to our room. That felt quite rude and unprofessional, as it seemed her attitude changed only because we didn’t accept her offers. The following day, we received another call urging us to use our resort credit, which we again declined. Eventually, another staff member offered us a $200 store credit in exchange for attending a "VIP breakfast"—clearly tied to a timeshare presentation. Although we initially agreed, I canceled the appointment the next day. Even after that, another representative approached us, and again, we declined. On our final attempt to enjoy breakfast at Toro, yet another staff member tried to engage us. This persistent sales pressure was the only downside to an otherwise enjoyable resort experience. Bottom line: I understand the resort makes money from memberships and timeshare sales—but once we clearly said "no" and showed no interest, they should have respectfully backed off. Good property, know what you’re going for. It’s a bit smaller than other hard rocks, which isn’t a bad thing (for us). Food had some hidden gems which were great, but also a few let downs. Pools were lively and fun. The beach was one partial letdown, as it was very narrow, and filled with seaweed.

Customer service was great. Food was not the best. Needs variety. On our laat night, my 7 year old got food positioning from the restaurant Zen. Hotel said I was lying about it and saud my son probably ate something outside the hotel. I told them we were in the hotel all day and to check their cameras, but they still said I was lying. Hotel didn't want to take any accountability. I had to call the hotel doctor and that ended costing $200 dollars, plus $100 in medications. Definitely not going back.

The staff at Hard Rock Hotel Cancun were great—very friendly and welcoming. The food was okay overall. Lunch was solid with classic options like pizza and burgers, and the seafood was a nice touch. Dinner had great restaurant choices, but be prepared to wait 1–2 hours during peak times. Breakfast was the weakest meal, and the dining area was always hot and uncomfortable. The Roxity Kids Club was the highlight for us. Being able to drop off our 4-year-old gave us some quality time to relax as a couple, and our child really enjoyed it. Abby and Andy were awesome host and deserve recognition. Big downside: the timeshare sales pressure. From check-in to check-out, we were constantly approached. It was extremely persistent and made us uncomfortable. Sadly, this alone would stop us from coming back.

The staff is fantastic, the drinks are top shelf, the pool is so fun. The property itself is a bit tired. They also need to make the steakhouse and Italian restaurants reservation bc you have to sit two hours for a table.

The hotel is good. You get what you paid. We had 2 problems. 1) One of us got food poisoning after eating a seafood soup at Isla (one of their restaurants onsite. We never left the hotel). 2) We made the mistake to go to one of these meetings where they try to sell you vacation packages (the company's name is Legendary). The first two individuals we dealt with were very nice, but then when it comes to the next in command who tried you to commit to packages, the experience was horrible and overwhelming. They push you to sign something. They stress you out, and they try you to sign a very expensive commitment on the spot. We were willing to listen to them and see opportunities for future vacations, but all they did was to stress us out and ruining our day. I understand their job is to sell, but they need to be more conscious of people's time and vacation. We said NO repeatedly, and they kept on sending us more people to commit. You need to understand the meaning of NO, and just leave people alone. Don't be tricked by these people. You are offered gifts. We got a couple, but they are not worth it, and you still need to paid for stuff at some point when enjoying those gifts. Just to be clear, the problem were the supervisors or managers. The other individuals involved were very nice.

Bom hotel, mas já precisando de uma renovação. Bebidas e comidas de nível bom, mas nada especial. Melhor parte pra mim foi o café da manhã. Mesmo ainda fora da alta temporada as piscinas e restaurantes ficam lotados, especialmente no jantar. E dizem que não fazem reserva para os restaurantes como se fosse algo bom, mas a realidade é que todo dia vc enfrenta fila de até 1h30 pra conseguir mesa, principalmente no Toro. Achei isso uma falha grave no sistema all inclusive. Acabamos optando por jantar fora alguns dias. O hotel Não é para quem gosta de ficar na praia. Mar muito forte e cheio de sargaço, ao ponto de cheirar mal. Só conseguimos ir no mar 1 dia dos 7 que estivemos lá. Atmosfera geral do hotel é de festa o tempo todo, o que pode ser positivo ou negativo a depender do propósito da viagem. Experiência no geral não foi ruim, mas acho que não voltaria.

The service was terrible, staff are not accommodating and can be rude, esp at the front desk and poolside. The resort itself is nice and small. The restaurants are decent, but buffet was terrible - limited selection of food and the same options every day. All in all, not what I was would expect from a hard rock brand.
