Ashland Hills Hotel & Suites

I really like the unique amenities on this property. It is super kid friendly. Ot has a large pool, a playfround, tennis courts and plenty of places on property to sit and relax.

Truly enjoyed the outside dining area, the pool and the hot tub!

Loved the playground for the grandkids.

Beds were very comfortable and room was spacious and very clean. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Hotel gym had a variety of machines.

Pleasantly surprized with the campus and amenities. The rooms were of generous size and configuration. Loved the sports courts, grounds and swimming facilities. It was a great place to stay and recommend booking here.

Beautiful grounds surrounding the property. Little dissapointed spa is gone but got over that quickly.

Great facility and staff were excellent. The hot tub was broken and the bar was closed all day.

Beautiful location, mid century modern resort, with all the services. Electric charging, lush landscaping and spotless clean well equipped rooms. Highly recommend, especially as it’s pet friendly with a fenced in dog park at the rear.

Convenient dog park right on the beautiful hotel grounds. Great for dogs and owners that have been traveling for hours. The staff is warm and friendly. The rooms are spotless and well equipped. I love stopping here!

Disappointingly dirty. Poorly maintained. Scratchy sheets, lopsided bed. The table in the room had crumbs and greasy spots when I arrived. A front desk employee, not a cleaner, came and with a cloth. The minifridge was moldy inside and emitted a horrible odor. The dresser/tv stand was all scuffed and had a broken corner. Dead bugs in the hot tub - earwigs, spiders, yellowjackets, bees. Luna Cafe - please know there is no table service! they had thing in the room promoting ordering online from the restaurant , but it didn’t work, so I went downstairs for a burger. But the menu there was different from the one online. When I expressed confusion, the woman at the counter actually sighed and rolled her eyes and said do you want a burger or not. So I did get a burger and it was terrible. Soggy. How can you mess up a hamburger. The patty was smaller than the supposed ⅓ pound. Soggy tomatoes and too much mayo made the whole thing slippery and the bun was just - wet. The fries were overcooked. The tv is too small for the distance from the bed. The building has weird layout that makes it easy to get lost. Members of a college softball team were wandering around looking for their rooms. I was going to give two stars, but after reliving in my mind the burger ordeal and the moldy fridge, and the difficulty sleeping on scratchy sheets, and the earwigs in the hot tub, it’s a one star.

Hotel was spotless clean as usual. We got a pet friendly room near the back, very spacious. Check in was friendly and efficient despite multiple conferences being held.

Very nice front desk staff and spacious rooms with comfy beds. However, the rooms are quite run down/dated. Ours had no shampoo or body wash in the dispensers, a dirty diaper left behind in the night table shelf, and the refrigerator was so loud we just unplugged it.

We first entered our “premium king" room we were inundated by the smell of DOG! We have been pet owners all of our life but this was awful. We called the front desk after realizing even opening the windows did not help. They offered us a room on the third floor where "NO Pets are allowed" But it would not be the "premium king". So we moved to the king room, and the room itself was 100% better, remodeled, larger TV and the bathroom was updated, so that was nice. Three minutes after settling in to watch the world series game one. Across the hall on the floor where no animals are allowed came a constant bark! Picked up the phone again, ohhh there are not supposed to be any dogs! The barking stopped. After our Dodgers lost, we headed out for dinner, to pass 2 more large dogs being walked to their rooms on the third floor. Deceptive to say the least! The hotel is not as pictured, very ran down from a few years ago. Appears to be a homeless camp out back and the entrance door did not lock to the outside. Upon check out very cold and unfriendly. Honestly in the hundreds of stays this was in our top five of the WORST! Sad, especially as they host the wonderful chocolate festival and have a lot of potential to be an upscale hotel. Definitely overpriced and would not recommend. Bed was comfortable and the TV was nice. The room was not clean including a large clump of hair on the bathroom floor, tp in the peep hole and the shower drained very slow you had to stand in 2 inches of water.

Our room was ground floor we had spider webs inside our window Our room cooler was very dingy no shampoo or rinse the hallway doors were chewed up pretty good the hallway smelled so bad by the time we walked to the dinning room our stomachs felt sick, the lobby was beautiful and restaurant was very nice the grounds were nice. There was a scary guy walking the Parkg lot early morning,very creepy

Clean room

While our room was a good size, the property felt dirty and outdated. Our room and hallways had a strong musty odor, the screen door to the balcony broken, carpet was old and dingy, and bedding thin. The lobby and cafe area was updated, but everything else could use a refresh.

The property was retro but clean. They probably need to do some updates to the rooms and maybe have designated rooms for dogs. Our room smelled like dog and had a musty odor.

Air conditioner was necessary because of the warm weather but every time it turned on vibrated so loud that it woke both of us up over and over again all night long.

This was my 5th-6th stay over 3 years that I used to look forward to for comfort and service. The condition of the hotel has slightly decreased and they no longer have the buffet breakfast. But, of course, their rates have gone up. It’s now just an ok place for a one night stop over. The retro furniture now just looks dated.

Great clean spacious rooms with a cool retro vibe

I specifically asked for a room with a tub, rather than shower only, but arrived to a room with a shower. The desk clerk kindly offered to move me, but I was too tired and in too much pain to do so. That would have been okay, but then the shower controls had no directions and required I putll the handle out, which was very difficult, and I feared causing a break. I did manage to get it started and took a shower but directions would have helped. I made the mistake of eating breakfast downstairs before leaving and the eggs felt and tasted like powdered and the breakfast was awful. Hard to mess up breakfast, but there you go and I will not return.

Large property with onsite food and an outdoor pool. Room was dated and rundown. Extremely loud air conditioner and stale smell in room and hallways.

Nice hotel - affordable - offering spacious rooms for family. Close to freeway, 10min drive from downtown Ashland.

King premier suite was not in the best condition, very weird layout as well. Room cleaning and towel replacement is not everyday, only available every 3 days. I requested a cleaning and asked the front desk for service and they never did it. Our keycards were also turned off randomly during our stay and we were locked out of our building and room, had to go and get new ones at the front desk.

Great property, but ask for the inner court. The roadside units are loud at night. The rooms are a little dated, but it is worth staying here.

Front desk lady gave me a room key to an occupied room and then gave me a room key to a dirty room that wasn’t cleaned yet. We saw roaches in the hallway walking to our room.

The don’t clean your room each day, it’s every 3rd day unless you request it. No one told us we needed to request it. So we ended up with a messy room the second day to our surprise after being out all day. Also the staff at the front desk were not very friendly. As we were checking out in the morning I said bye to the lady at the front desk and she completely ignored me. Maybe she didn’t hear me but I was thrown off a bit by it.

There are hidden fees! More than twice what the original price. The person who checked us in was terse boardering on rude. There was a creepy guy who followed us to our room (not the hotel's fault, I know) Hotel texted shortly after check in asking for a review and when i responded a bot answered. The privacy lock (a chain) was missing and the broken parts were screwed to the frame. The toilet barely flushed. No shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Just a bar of soap, some cotton balls, qtips and a make up remover wipe. The fridge froze our dinks. The free breakfast was disgusting, frozen or powered eggs, sweetened waffels, horrid lighting coffee flavored water. AND the coffee maker in the room didn't work. I texted the front desk, as previously prompted when reviewed and i just got the same canned answer that someone would get back to us between 7am-9pm and it was already 8:30am. I want my money back. Be warned.

The desk attendant appeared so disinterested in our check in. He should have told us we could walk through interior halls to reach our room instead of across the dark parking lot in the cold.

When we arrived, there was a gentleman in front of us being helped. We stood in line for 20 min before they got someone else to help, by then there were 4 other people behind us waiting to check in. Our check in was 4pm and the room was not ready and we had to wait another 15 - 20 min. for that. By that time it was almost 4:20 pm and our room was on the 3rd floor, to top it off the elevator was out of order, had to carry our luggage and everything up the stairs, NOT HAPPY!!!!!😡😡 The shower head was so weak, it was like being in a light rain. The room over all was clean, no issues there. We stay here many years ago and it was awesome, but they are under new management now and can definitely tell. We WON'T be staying here again!

The person that checked me in, charged me for the room in additional to the incidentals and resort fee. This is no resort. Then, when I asked the person to make the correction, I was told that it could not be done. I was also told that I should have looked at the total before hitting ok. When I asked if it was possible to get a receipt, she said that comes form Expedia. I then explained, that there should be a receipt of your hotel charges my card. They continued to tell me, that wasn't necessary and not needed to get one. When I checked out in the morning, the staff again was arguing with me about getting a receipt. I told them I charged my food to my room therefore I want a receipt, she spent a good 5 min debating me on giving me one. Terrible staff... very unprofessional and no customer service at the front desk.

I love the location. Quiet end of town. Always feel safe here. I like the Luna café. Nice pool and courtyard and grounds. Favorite place to stay in Ashland!

We have stayed here before traveling between the bay area and Portland and it's the best! Nice restaurant and bar, clean rooms, nice pool, nice staff, pretty property, and near the highway if you're just passing through.

Room was big and clean. Pillows were a bit lumpy/uncomfortable and bed was just ok. Hotel feels a bit rundown. Free breakfast was bad, even by free breakfast low standards.

Food quality at Luna has slipped. Expedia stated that a continental breakfast was included but hotel stopped providing that service and told us that info has not been removed from the Booking sites as requested. They did not tell us free coffee was in the lobby until we paid $4 for a cup.

The hotel is easy to find and quiet. The retro 70s decor works. We had a delicious breakfast at the cafe.

We really like this hotel! Appreciate the big rooms with balcony/patio, pool and hot, cool vintage decor and the laundry room. Only reason i didn't give a 5 star rating is that the free breakfast they offered all these years was discontinued at the start of this year. That made staying here just fantastic, as we could get the kids to chomp some cereal or toast before jumping on the road for several hours. Still a great place to stay though!

This is a great property. It’s a little run down, but that’s part of the charm. They used to also offer a free breakfast, but have discontinued that unfortunately and their dinning menu is a little limited. Otherwise it’s a great place to stop when traveling along the 5

Only complaint is that only one person staffed Luna cafe during busy breakfast time. Way too much to ask to do orders and payment, fancy coffee drinks and waiting tables. Not fair to them or guests.
