The hot tub and indoor pool were nice, and we were not expecting the laundry facilities which helped a ton on our longer road trip. Would absolutely stay here again. The staff were friendly and helpful as well.

Right off highway 10 mins to downtown portland. Free jimmy dean sandwiches and snacks for breakfast. Small hot tub 2 pools meh fitness center clean new looking rooms. Some hallways seem a bit dated. For price cant beat it. Def would return.

Booked because it had a Fitness Center; the “Center” had 4 dumbbells and a broken multi-purpose machine. It also had no cleaning supplies and we watched a man completely drench the lone treadmill in sweat (screen, handles, belt, everything) and walk away without a wipe down. We had to ask the front desk for cleaning supplies. There were bugs jumping on the floor next to us while we used hotel towels to cover the carpet we were trying to work-out on. The pool water was filthy and the hot tub didn’t operate at temperatures hot enough to be considered anything but a warm pool. The hotel was just dirty. The staff who took my complaints was very sweet and friendly but did not think there was anything that could be done in terms of compensation since we booked through a 3rd party. Overall not a good experience.

Another typical hotel. If you're trying to get a decent rate and not be downtown, this is the spot. it's a massive hotel. Our door knob was broken on the bathroom so that was annoying, but we dealt with it. Someone in a room by us was enjoying their time and we had skunk smell for an hour or two every night.

Dated, but still clean. It was in a convenient location to drive to places, but nothing really close to walk to. Biggest downside is the only elevator is at front so if you have issues with carrying luggage up stairs don’t get a room on 2nd floor because it’s a long walk to elevator if you’re in back. Also, this room was more expensive because it had courtyard view. Well, the courtyard view was of a covered swimming pool. Shouldn’t be charging extra for this.

The thermostat in my room was apparently stuck and The heat would not shut off overnight. I called maintenance and the front desk several times with no answer. I suffered through the night with the heat when maintenance arrived around 9 AM after I finally got a hold of them he made a comment that it was my fault because I had said it on that, I told him I didn’t. I just tried to turn the heat on and then he commented oh it looks like it’s stuck.

Average property charging high price. They need a bit of updating for sure and the breakfast was very basic although appreciated. Stained carpet in the elevator left a very bad first impression. Walls are very thin too. Bedding was comfortable and overall rooms were nice. Could use extra reading chair in the room for two. Would not stay more than one or two nights. convenient off the freeway.

We have stayed at the Fireside on numerous occasions and had always been pleased with the accommodations (and excellent staff, always courteous and helpful). During this particular stay, the air conditioning was quite loud, sounding very much like a washing machine during its cooling cycle. That said, the unit did work well in maintaining a comfortable temperature.

The purpose of my stay was to be close to a family member in a hospice facility near by. Derrick (hope I spelled his name right) checked me in. He was professional, kind and very caring. I have traveled a bit for my job and have stayed in many 5 star hotels. Derrick outshines them all.

We chose this property for the outdoor pool, on our second night they closed the pool for maintenance and we were told we couldn't use it until the next afternoon (well after our scheduled check out). I was very upset and expressed my disappointment with the front desk staff. They were very understanding and comped our room for the night. Then, they diligently worked hard to open the pool, and we were able to go in for the afternoon, it was LOVELY! What a hard working and caring staff, will stay again in the future.

Very thankful we had this option! Prices were insane downtown, Fireside was affordable and we enjoyed our stay. Super clean and not as loud as you’d think being off the highway. Ubers were usually $10-15 and 15 minutes to downtown. Would definitely recommend for a budget option outside Portland!

The location and price worked well for our one-night stay during our trip. The people at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. The place is dated but everything in the room was clean and tidy. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was granola bars, fruit cups, and a choice of two breakfast sandwiches. Not the full hot breakfast but good enough for our needs. All in all, not bad for the price compared to others in the area.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room and common areas were clean and inviting. For the price of the stay, I feel the breakfast could have been more robust. The microwaved breakfast sandwich was actually pretty good but feel breakfast bars and canned peaches was a bit lacking. Only one kind of tea available. My expectations were a little higher based on the cost of the room.

Breakfast is a joke, more like snacks, not a breakfast. Beds are very hard, pillows are lumpy and hard, place is damp and musty smelling. We booked 2 nights , only stayed one night. We booked this place for the dog friendly place, they are very accommodating for the dogs. However not much area to walk them.
