The staff was very helpful and nice, the room was clean and comfy, and the location made it very easy to get to the heart of Old Port. The $40/night parking fee is pretty steep but the valet attendants were all fast and professional.

Fabulous views from our suite. Bed very comfortable. Loads of space. Very quiet. Good breakfast and dinner in restaurant. Outside terrace with fire pit was lovely in the evenings. Loved everything. Perfect!

The hotel is close to the Long Pier, so you can walk to restaurants and shops. The hotel and staff are nice. Room was comfortable and quiet at night. Only drawback is forced valet parking with a $40 a day fee. No street parking is available.

Very nice, modern hotel. We were very happy with the location. Staff were all kind and helpful. They had a very pretty garden on the 4th floor which is where reception is located. We will stay there again next time we’re in Portland.

Room was excellent, clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff was also excellent, always very friendly and knowledgeable (of the hotel and the local area). The elevators were a bit confusing. One goes to the parking garage and the other only goes to the first floor, where you have to exit the building and go into the garage. Signage for that should be more obvious. A large sign in the first floor lobby should inform first time guests where the front desk is. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This hotel is brand new, immaculate, modern design with spacious rooms and a lovely courtyard in the interior. It's a little bit off the core of downtown, but still totally walkable to everything else. It seems like overkill for the town, this very large new hotel in a large town/small "city" where there isn't much to do. But they did a lovely job with it. Highly recommend. If possible, try to avoid the laughably inflated $40/night parking charge.

The hotel is nice and situated in a convenient location for walking to multiple dining options. We checked in a bit late and we didn’t notice that the room was caked in pet fur and dander. By 2AM everyone needed allergy pills, it would be nice if the hotel disclosed that certain rooms are pet friendly. I wouldn’t have stayed here if I knew the room was an allergy attack waiting to happen. The resort fee is non refundable even if you don’t use it…seems like a bit of a rip off. The hotel parking is valet only and that is $40 a night. For one night in addition to the basic room cost with taxes I was charged $125 at check in. Be prepared for that expense as Expedia didn’t mention this.

Our stay at the Cambria was excellent. The hotel was very nice and clean, and the location was perfect — within easy walking distance to restaurants and bars in the Old Port. The service was outstanding, and the staff made us feel well taken care of. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Portland!

The overall hotel is very nice, new and well-kept. Unfortunately upon arrival our room had what to appear to be a pillow covered in blood and sheets with blood on them. Although the sheets were washed... the housekeeping should have seen the condition.

The location was great! Easy walking access to the many quaint and unique shops, restaurants and much more. The staff was always friendly, courteous and helpful. The room was spotless, the bed was extremely comfortable and the on-site restaurant, Alto was excellent. A great place to start your day with breakfast, end your day on the beautiful outside terrace with a cocktail ( or mock tail ) When booking a room definitely request one with a view of the bay. If you’re a morning person you can enjoy your morning coffee with a breathtaking sunrise. We have been here multiple times and we are never disappointed.

We had a suite room, which was quite large, with a view of the harbor and cruise ship terminal. Everything needed was provided, and more. We were able to extend checkout an extra hour to accommodate a morning tour we had scheduled, which was much appreciated. Also, the hair dryer was one of the best hotel hair dryers I've ever used.

Room was excellent, clean, comfortable and spacious. Staff was also excellent, always very friendly and knowledgeable (of the hotel and the local area). The elevators were a bit confusing. The staff at Cambria - Portland, ME were all so professional, yet very friendly & accommodating. They could not have been more helpful. Each person was kind, and personable…each in different ways…but each terrific. We were slightly concerned, based on other reviews we had read, but we had a stellar stay, and not one negative encounter w/ any staff members. They all contributed to truly making our stay more enjoyable! The facilities were very clean, quiet & secure…and our room was EXCELLENT! So private. Top floor, king bed, great views. Felt like our own little condo to come back to each night. Very comfortable! Would def stay here again! Thank you Cambria staff. Well done! :)

Check-in Delays: Upon arrival, I was informed that my room would be ready in 10 minutes. However, I waited over 2 hours before my room became available. This excessive delay was particularly frustrating as I had travel plans and limited time in Portland. Room Assignment Issues: I paid for two rooms together, with both intended to have harbor views. While my friends received their promised harbor view room, I was assigned a room without harbor views despite paying the same premium rate for this amenity. Room Condition: Upon settling into my room, I discovered that the bed sheets had a hole in them, indicating poor housekeeping standards and quality control. Staff Response: Most concerning was the apparent indifference when I reported these issues during checkout. Worst service I’ve had at any hotel in the last 25 years. The room had dirty socks and towel from previous resident in drawers. We requested the room be cleaned, left for dinner, and came back to the same dirty socks and used towel. We called the hotel desk again and nothing was done. We paid $40 for valet parking and was given a QR code to call the valet. The QR code didn’t work and it took over 20 minutes to find someone to bring my vehicle to me. Really terrible service.

The entire hotel was excellent. Check in staff greeted us with a friendly hello and check in a breeze. The furnishings are gorgeous. Love the couch overlooking Casco Bay. Jordan the bartender was amazing!! So friendly and welcoming. We had dessert there both nights and was so good. Get the Crème Brûlée!! We will be back!!

I had a fantastic stay at the Cambria Hotel in Portland! The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was perfect for a restful night’s sleep, and the overall atmosphere made for a relaxing experience. The only minor critique I have is the confusion around using the credits, and I also feel that ending breakfast at 10am on weekends is a missed opportunity—especially since many guests would love to enjoy a later meal. Great staff and well appointed rooms, modern, clean, comfortable and quiet. Wish the lounge was open earlier and strayed open later. We had to Uber for an after show cocktail, would have been nice to have one at the hotel. Same for dinner before our show we had to Uber somewhere else. Definitely will stay here again !
