The room color was dark. Needs a fresh coat of cream paint. The floor was dirty. The coffeemaker had old coffee stains in it. The AC was good. Towels were thin but ok. Well lit parking areas and lots of lights around rooms.

The room itself was pretty dingy and dark. The shower didnt give hot water (barely warm), the power strip on the night table didnt work, and the coffee pot also didnt work. Luckily, we only used the room to sleep. The pet areas were great, spacious and inviting.

It took an excessive amount of time at check-in, but not becaues of the girl at the desk. There were computer problems. The girl was wonderful and cheerful. The tub drain was all but clogged, which meant that I was in standing water at the end of my shower. I was able to have my dogs with me, which is sometimes hard to find an accomiidating motel, or they charge excessively.

The room was clean. The area was quiet and the price was good. Very convenient to route 81. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. There was a 10 dollar charge to stay on first floor. Apparently, booking through a 3rd party doesn't allow you to pick your floor. Changing floor, they add an additional 10 dollars.

I do not recommend the Red Roof In. In Abingdon. The place was dirty. The towels were so old they were beige…not white. There were water stains on the ceilings and a wall that had sheetrock damage that was not repaired. The tub was just old with moldy caulking around it. Stay somewhere else.

The room was an absolute mess and smelled terrible. The remote did not work, the microwave did not work, the shower looked like it was disease ridden. The exterior of the building was nice, but the room was absolutely disgusting

I interacted with 2 different staff that were extremely nice and helpful. The room, imcluding bathroom was exceptionally clean. I checked mattresses of course. I was thrilled to see it was wrapped in a mattress bag. I would definitely stay here again. All I want out of a room is CLEAN and BUG FREE. This exceeded my expectations. I usually stay at Hampton Inns but, trying to stay under budget. This was a win in my book.

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. The experience was far below acceptable standards and raised serious concerns regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service. Upon entering the room, it was immediately clear that it had not been properly cleaned or maintained. Specifically: There were cockroaches and socks under the bed, near the headboard, as well as substantial dirt and debris as well as what looked like cat litter, indicating a complete lack of thorough housekeeping. The beds had hair all over them, and the dust covers were stained and covered in hair. Pillowcases were visibly dirty, and the fridge was unclean. There was dust throughout the room, suggesting it had not been cleaned in quite some time. The ice machine was out of order, and no housekeeping service was provided during the stay. To make matters worse, we were nearly double-charged for the room, which added unnecessary stress. The customer service was unhelpful and dismissive, failing to address or resolve any of these issues. If you would like photos of the cockroaches and condition near the beds and refrigerator, I will provide them along with a formal complaint. This experience was extremely disappointing and unacceptable for any guest, let alone for the price paid. I am requesting a full explanation of how such conditions were allowed, as well as a refund or appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and discomfort caused.

It was okay had plenty of room but could have been a little cleaner like in the dressers doors and night stand the ice bucket the tv was some what clean but streaked up and the telephone didn't work looked like it had been thrown across the room and the tub on the bottom needed to be cleaner and clean from hir from coming up out of the drain and drain better you stand ankle deep in water and need to pay better attention to the lennon to make sure they're no hir in them pretty much just needs to be cleaner or the cleaners need to do their job a little better it looks clean but once you get to looking or staying its not that clean im not looking for a 5 start holetell just to be clean. and or do ther job. I don't want to have to pay more to stay in a clean room i don't mind to stay in a older hotel long as its clean and it wasn't dusty just need to be cleaner like the cleaners rushed through it.

The room was filthy. There was a pair of socks on the floor. The shower was visibly dirty. There was a yellow film on the sink. The door was difficult to open once unlocked. The toilet ran constantly. I do not know how it got a favorable overall rating. I would not recommend anyone staying at this property.

It was okay for an overnight stay. There are things in the pictures they are not in the room. Both the lamps by our bed didn’t even work. And also the outlets by the bed did not work. Also it seemed like the floors haven’t been swept in a while. Without shoes or socks you could feel the dirt on your feet

The room was decent. Curtains didn’t hang all the way. Water damage on ceiling in bathroom. Hardly any pressure in shower. Bed was not very comfortable could feel springs in mattress.

Most aspects of the room were very good. My only issues were with the shower curtain and no wifi for my room. The shower curtain either needs to be longer or additional weights to be added to the bottom of the curtain to keep the bottom of the curtain inside the tub. As for the wifi, my room was too far from the nearest modem to have any wifi connection. A major plus was all of the electrical outlets in the room.

The tv was direct tv service no channels would play I had to repair the cable to get it to work. The vent in the bathroom didn’t work so you had a rainforest effect dripping water on the floor that was slick tiles anyway making it worse. one place to sit but had a king bed (for 2people) however it was clean

Spend the extra cash and stay elsewhere. The beds are very uncomfortable. I suspect a straw filled sack would have been more comfortable. The bath tub was severely cracked, repaired, painted and cracked, and repaired barely. The bathroom door was falling off the hinges. The room was frigid. The walls could compare to cardboard. You can hear everything, people walking, talking, traffic etc. The good things, were hot water, didn't get bugs and staff were helpful.

The hotel was old and need of a major update. Beds were uncomfortable, furniture was old, desk chair had a rip and the floors felt dirty. Grounds in general were not maintained, stairs were rusty and in need of care. Not having a breakfast was a disappointment. Front desk person was friendly and knowledgeable

I reserved a Superior King Room there was no indication that these rooms do not accommodate pets. When I got there I was given a smaller room. This would have been fine if I had been refunded the difference. The individual at the front desk told me I did not book a Superior room. When I showed him my confirmation he then said that they did not have those rooms for pets. When I asked for a refund of the difference in the room I booked and the room we received he said there was no price difference. When I showed him the price difference posted both on Expedia and on Red Roof's website he told me I had to talk to the third party (Expedia). I contacted Expedia. They contacted the hotel. I was then told the establishment didn't accept pets. I pointed out that they do and that it is posted in their lobby and on both websites, the representative told me the hotel said there was no price difference. I pointed out again the difference and the representative told me that they would not refund the difference in the two rooms because the hotel said I was "getting a good deal." Besides the fact that I was downgraded with no refund, there were bugs all over the ceiling in our room, the comforter was not clean, the a/c did not work well, and an individual two doors down would open his door each time we walked by, watch us and make weird noises.

Called ahead to let them know we were traveling and it would be after midnight check in. I was told that was fine. Arrived 1am was told our reservation was cancelled. Drove over 600 miles to be turned away and have to sleep in our car with children. Was told it was a race weekend and prices were over $250 a night now. When my reservation was for $102. Never will book here again. We stay in Bristol 6 times a year. Didnt know this was a "race" weekend. This is our custody meeting destination.

This experience cost me an extra $220.00. I had this reservation booked for weeks. I called twice to confirm and change my payment option. I got a confirmation but no one could help me change my payment. The day of arrival I received a calll about payment, I called back within 4 minutes and was told my reservation was cancelled. I tried to rebook with the hotel and was told to go online, I was having a hard time doing this. I called back and was told again to go online. I called Expedia twice with no help.

I've stayed there several times over the last few years, and the property is the same as it always has been. It is a very budget hotel. It's old and there are usually little problems , but nothing I couldn't live with for one night. What was different this time was that I was not given the kind of room that I reserved, and the desk clerk's comment on it was something to the order of, you have a bed you have a TV, you have a shower. What more do you need? Given some other problems over the years, I think that will count as the last straw and I will stay elsewhere when in Abingdon.

The owners, AJ and his wife are wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. I’ve been staying at this location for a few years and always return. I was charged a $50 deposit on CC which is hotel standard and deposit was credited to my account within a few hours of checkout. That’s a huge plus! Usually 5-10 days from other hotels.

Had to make an emergency trip to maryland. We stopped it was the best decision ever! The front desk lady was super nice. We were only there for a few hours but it was quiet the best sleep we had in a while. Will probably stay on my way back home

To start with when we have the refrigerator somebody’s food has been left behind yucky, but not a big deal however about 7 PM on Saturday night we took the dogs out for a short walk. We just took the dogs no phones no keys and the hotel key my son drove up. We were talking to him. I went back to the room. The key stopped working went up to the front office. There was a sign due to personnel shortage. We are closed from 3 to 11. Call this number for an emergency, I was standing up there another customer was up there with the same issue. Their key had also stopped working. We all tried several times to call the number and got nothing but a voicemail we contacted corporate. They couldn’t get a hold of anybody. It was cold. I have medical issues finally about quarter after nine he answered the phone and told me I had a family emergency. My family comes first. There was a sign on the door. You’ll just have to wait. I’ll be there in 20 minutes. I understand crap comes up, but when you are running a business like this, and I spoke to a couple other residents who would come out see while we were hanging around the front lobby and they said no he’s usually closed from now until then it was very very and then when he did show up, he pretty much my husband said we need REC key for 131 he keep it and that was it. He didn’t apologize for our inconvenience or nothing. I am now running a fever And coughing uncontrollably. I have never received such horrible service.

The room color was dark. Needs a fresh coat of cream paint. The floor was dirty. The coffeemaker had old coffee stains in it. The AC was good. Towels were thin but ok. Well lit parking areas and lots of lights around rooms.

The room was clean. The area was quiet and the price was good. Very convenient to route 81. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. There was a 10 dollar charge to stay on first floor. Apparently, booking through a 3rd party doesn't allow you to pick your floor. Changing floor, they add an additional 10 dollars.

There is a bed and a bathroom and they allowed my pet. That\'s the best of this stay. The property seems to be under renovation, both inside the rooms and outside. The room I had was somewhat finished but still had stains on the ceiling. There was recent painting on the walls. The flooring throughout was vinyl. Not real clean as it felt gritty. The bedding was stained but seemed clean. The "breakfast" was bananas, apples, yogurt, waffles, and burritos with cold cereal and milk...coffee. I don\'t recommend staying here until all the renovation is done and clean, new, unstained bedding is supplied.

The hotel was old and need of a major update. Beds were uncomfortable, furniture was old, desk chair had a rip and the floors felt dirty. Grounds in general were not maintained, stairs were rusty and in need of care. Not having a breakfast was a disappointment. Front desk person was friendly and knowledgeable

The lady who checked us in was great, but the actual room not so much, this place hasn't been updated since it was built, everything was old and dated including the mattress and pillows, the a/c barely worked and was extremely loud as was the bath fan, half the lights didn't work, the refrigerator has never been defrosted and had a bag of something frozen solid in the freezer probably from last year, and the room smelled like it hosted a smoking convention the day before . But the pizza place in the parking lot was excellent... best pizza I have had in a long time..

Was a nice safe and convenient hotel. Room was clean but smelt a bit musty. After the ac fan ran for 10 mins it was gone. We were a drop in and the hotel looked full so I imagine we were put in a room that was not used that often. Would stay again!
