Quality Inn & Suites Abingdon

Property seemed like it was recently updated with some ongoing minor improvements. We enjoyed a quiet and comfortable night. We were disappointed to not have guest laundry on-site.

I don’t understand the positive feedbacks. The hotel is old and run down. In the gym, none of the equipment works properly. Sofa in room was torn in several places. Mirrors were really dirty. TV is old and picture quality is poor. I wouldn't stay here again

Pool needed cleaning and exercise machines not working otherwise enjoyed our stay

The hotel itself was rather stuffy. I loved the overall decor & our room was clean(though we found a razor blade in one of the dresser drawers). The bathroom sink had a slow drain & the shower wouldn’t get hot. The pool was gorgeous but the hand handles were loose stepping down into the pool so that was a bit of a concern. The complimentary breakfast could use a lil less heat maybe. The biscuits were hard & the bacon was too crumbly to pick up 😆 but it was a 1-night stay so overall it wasn’t terrible. It just wasn’t what I’m normally accustomed to.

Property very clean, quiet and great amenities. Only drawback was difficult accessing and leaving property by car.

Good location. Hotel was decent overall, just old. Smelled like weed in the whole second floor hallway. Ice machine didn’t work on our floor. Breakfast has a great variety, it was good. Swimming pool area didn’t have much seating, but appeared clean.

Access to front parking lot easier coming from downtown Abingdon than from freeway exit. We approached from freeway and entered a different hotel parking lot and had to exit back to Lee St. to get to parking lot for this hotel.

Nice hotel. Rooms were clean and smelled good. Pool was very small, ok for kids but that’s about it

Well where do I start. The morning front desk person was not friendly at all. The hotel is old but just a little attention to detail would really help. Part of the ice machine is broken, door frames are rusty and really need paint, pool chemicals are stacked up in the lobby, hallways need to be cleaned, breakfast is very limited and if appears with they are not concerned with repairing broken equipment. I will say the coffee was good. Swimming pool temperature was very good but we didn’t use it because it had some type of film floating on the water. It has a very big parking area. Bed was comfortable

The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Staff great. Lobby area decorated for Halloween and very impressive. The breakfast was fantastic with fresh scrambled eggs, lots of bacon, grits, biscuits, and much more. Would absolutely stay here again.

We had to switch rooms as our first room bed seemed just made and sheets not changed. There was hair all in the bed. Bathroom shower also had dirt in bottom. Our 2nd room was better. but our toliet would not flush. Continential breakfast had a lot of variety. Friendly staff.

Room was dirty.

Ice bucket had black mold in it, bathroom floor and countertop was sticky, hand towel had a blood spot on it , wash cloth hanging on top on hand towel had long black hair and hair dryer intake screen was covered with lint and dust. I showed the front desk clerk pictures that I took.

Dust in corners of room. Bathtub not completely clean. Overall room was not clean

The room was older, which was expected for the price. However it was a mix of cleaning: the bathroom appeared to be cleaned, however the bathtub and shower curtain had mold. Sink/toilet was clean. Wash cloth found under sink from previous person. The comforter was horriblly stained (not washed?) so we pulled it off. The rest of the bed was clean and the mattress had a protective cover on it. The room reaked of cigarettes, but not the hallway. The carpet in the stairwell is nasty. Breakfast is so-so. Waffles, eggs, burnt bacon, grits, biscuits and gravy.

The hotel was good. The only complaint is how filthy the vents for the air conditioner was. Food, dust, hair, crust. Literally so gross I left a note to clean the vents. Otherwise good hotel. Nice free breakfast and pool

When we checked into our room someone had clogged the toilet and there was still bodily products on the toilet paper. There were stains on the shower curtain and some other areas in the room (inside shower, rug, comforter, etc). Their saving grace was how easily they checked us into another room. It was still not what I would hope a room to be in terms of cleanliness, but it was sufficient considering it was late at night and we had no other option.

2-night stay. Front desk was very pleasant and courteous. Room was large as well as the bathroom. However, The sofa was ready to be tossed by the curb, and 2 of pillowcases appeared to have been slept on. Luckily, I found a room attendant in the hallway and she exchanged all the pillowcases for me. AC did not cool enough even at 68 setting. Also, I always wear flip flops when walking on hotel room floors. There was an instance when my bare foot touched the carpet between the sofa and the ac unit and the carpet was completely wet. The furniture overall needs updating as the hotel itself is nice overall. Breakfast was fine: usual scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and assortment of carbs. I liked the location, and for the price, I would still stay there again, but will inspect the room I'm getting before settling in.

Our room was fabulous!! More than what was expected!! Room was clean, cozy and cool. Beds were comfy and it was extremely quiet!

Within close walking distance of food. Gas station across the road. Movie theater only a 2 minute drive. Small fitness room, but acceptable. Room looked nice and appeared clean. Room had a bad smell, like sour body odor. Cleaning staff noisy in the hallways too early in the morning, 8:30am on a Sunday and they were talking loud in the hallways. That’s too early to be cleaning rooms. TV & tv remote did not work.

Comfortable beds, great breakfast, but needs a real makeover. Tiles in the bathroom were gross, the armchair in our room looked like it had been picked up on the curb. The heat system worked but was loud and clattery. We will miss the good breakfast, but wont be back.

Very well maintained properly, spacious rooms, helpful staff. Overall the best Quality Inn I have stayed as yet.

The air conditioner could sure use a tune up. Was loud enough to drown out the noise of being in the room right at the elevator.

Great service and spacious rooms. The non-amoking room still smelled like it had been smoked in for years. The smell was penetrated on the walls, carpets and curtains.

The TV didn’t work. I was offered to switch rooms but we were very tired. Another type of curtain would prevent the lights from outside from coming in.

This hotel makes you feel like family. Everyone is very friendly and willing to go the extra mile

We were in town to see a play at the Barter Theatre. This was about a 10 minute drive away. Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great. Lots of hot and cold choices. Next time we are in town, we will stay here again.

The guy Jonathan working the desk was AMAZING! We had a crowd with us in the lobby every night and he never complained about us asking him 1000s of questions and was willing to help us get what we wanted or needed.

When I was walking in the front lobby, the receptionist was also outside. She made a comment to the fact that just when she gets a moment, somebody else comes in. I first felt bad for disturbing her, but it's her job. When she got to the front desk, I thought she was talking to me, but she was actually on her cellphone via her ear piece, handed me my room key, and told me when breakfast was. My first impression was. "Wow, that was rude," but just went on my way. I went to my room that was assigned to me. When I opened the door, the room had not been cleaned. The beds unmade and bathroom not cleaned. I took a picture of the room and went back to the front desk. As I waited for the receptionist to finish her cellphone call, I told her I needed a new room secondary to the room assigned to me was not cleaned or made. I did not receive an apology nor did she seemed concerned. In fact, I had to show her my picture for her to assign me another room. She began complaining about getting good help. All I wanted was to get to a clean room and deal with someone who actually cared after I had driven for 5 hours to be with my daughter who was to have surgery. I work with pubic as well, and I know it's not easy, but this person was borderline disrespectful.

This was a quiet hotel along the highway that was quick and easy to access during our trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located just a walk away from an excellent Mexican restaurant so it was quite convenient. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was very quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty! We would stay here again!

The staff was excellent and very freindly. Probably the nicest staff I have ever encountered in my many stays at hotels!

Extremely poor management- front desk staff was left alone on a busy Friday night. Our door lock stopped functioning so they switched our room, second room was mildewed and floor was soaking wet, third room they moved us to was covered in trash and had not been cleaned or made between guests, after this we asked for a refund but they refused as we had already “been there for awhile” (two hours). Finally they got us into a fourth room that was ok. Desk personnel did not check rooms before putting us there, they said they couldn’t leave desk, and that their boss would “kill them” for taking rooms off the market. The hallway carpet was dirty, ripped, and burned through in areas with some kind of white chemical. We left as soon as we woke up and didn’t even try breakfast. Management needs to step up and take responsibility for their hotel.

The location is excellent and convenient. The super competitive pricing is great and makes this older hotel a 5 star option! Breakfast is a little limited but fine for the price. Very clean public areas and room.

When we entered our room there was an overwhelming smell of fried chicken. We assumed someone near us had been cooking and the smell would go away, but it continued through the night. We were only at the hotel less than 12 hours and couldn’t get out fast enough. While staff was friendly they seemed unconcerned when we reported the disgusting odor. The breakfast sustained us but the hot food was not hot, nor was the coffee, and the toaster was broken. Thankfully the room was clean and the price cheap. However we would not stay again.

Excellent stay at this hotel. Room was very large, clean, and comfortable. We had a king room and the large couch in the room was definitely a bonus.Bed was comfy. Shower head can use some updating but water was nice and hot. Awesome free breakfast options..eggs with cheese, bacon, seaoned potatoes, grits, waffles, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cereal, pastries, bagels, toast. Very good coffee. I will definitely stay here again and recommend.

Well maintained older hotel. Bed very comfortable. Curtains blocked outside lights at night. Breakfast was standard fare but freshly prepared and warm. I thought it was good. Parking ample and convenient

It appeared that the breakfast was never restocked, and many items were gone right away. To be fair though, many people were seen every morning taking bowls of bacon and/or plates full of eggs, bread, muffins/rolls/donuts/etc. and biscuits-and-gravy to their rooms Exiting the hotel parking lot into busy traffic was also very difficult

Not bad for a one night stay. Breakfast was average, coffee was warm.
