This place is well situated off the highway yet quiet once tucked into your room. Our check-in went smoothly and the lady at the front desk was very nice. Happy their dog friendly for our pup, too!

Was on a Harley and thy allowed me and others to park near the entrance on the curb for security. Felt relieved and slept with no worry. Breakfast was perfect as was the kitchen staff.

Always welcoming. A nice coffee and tea bar when you come in at any time. The BEST breakfast buffet of any motel we’ve ever stayed in. These things are why we keep coming back here when we come to Abingdon annually. ❤️

We arrived at check in 3:00pm, with the entire parking area being sealed. Took us a while to find someone on dealing crew how we could enter the hotel. We understand that parking areas need to be sealed, but for hotel customers they could have done half one evening and the half the next.

Check in was friendly and efficient. Room was quiet, clean, and very comfortable. Rate for midweek was very reasonable. The only problem is the parking lot ... a LOT of potholes that need to be repaired.

For my first visit in October 2024, I reviewed that the bedding and bathroom were very clean, but the room was covered in dust…even where the clean towels were placed on a shelf. I did write that I was willing to give this property another try. For my second visit, I found the room and bedding to be clean and the room itself was not dusty! The microwave and frig were equally as clean. The room was devoid pet smells! The breakfast area was clean, well stocked, with the attendant busily cleaning and restocking items on the breakfast bars and coffee set up area. I was very happy with this visit. My only disappointment was still the pet walking area. It’s very limited with nothing but parking lot to extend beyond the hotel.

The room was large and comfortable. But it was also very dusty, and some personal items from a previous guest were left behind. The sink did not drain well, because of a stuck plug. The exhaust fan was very loud. There were no towel bars. The toilet did not flush well.

The hotel looked like it was recently renovated. Everything in our room from floor to ceiling looked new and very clean. It’s rare to find such a well kept hotel at such a good price. The beds were also very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was conveniently located near I-81. The check in was quick and easy. The staff at the desk and in the breakfast area were friendly and polite. The room was VERY dusty! It looked like it had been neglected by the housekeeping staff! The bed linens and towels, however were clean and white. A check with an ultraviolet light did not reveal any dirt or stains. The furniture was basically untouchable after seeing it with the UV light! Dust was even on the bathroom shelf where clean white towels had been placed! After wiping down the surfaces we HAD to touch, we were able to settle in. We did not alert management because we did not want a room change! We were tired from our 11 hour drive and just wanted to get some sleep! Since the sheets and towels were clean and the bathroom floor, sink, and toilet were easily wiped down with disinfectant wipes, we felt we could tolerate the one night stay. I may give this hotel another try on my next trip because of it’s location and convenience, but if the cleanliness hasn’t improved, I will definitely complain to management and request compensation for having to perform housekeeping duties for a room I’m paying for!

It was a stopover on our way back home. It was okay, just average, I’d say. We couldn’t seem to get the AC to cool off the room enough (granted, it was hot and humid weather); we had hoped for a more comfortable stay. The room seemed fairly clean. The TV remote was in a plastic bag for cleanliness, which we appreciated. But we took the remote out of the bag and used the bag to hold the laminated TV guide because it was so nasty. It needed to be replaced. The grounds/parking lot needed some attention and sprucing up.

Check in was fine, staff were efficient and friendly. But, as soon as we opened the room door , we were met with a very unpleasant odor. We informed front desk and told them it needed disinfecting. When we returned, there was a spray disinfectant can on lobby desk for us. With 3 cell phones and CPAP machine, there were not enough plug ins. Plug behind bed has loose cover which prevented us from using.Lamp had plug but no USB. Tried to use back of TV for plug but nothing fit. It was dark, only a desk lamp and bedside lamp. The controls on the AC did not work. It got so cold we had to unplug unit. Then when it got hot, it took it 15 minutes to restart. Location was noisy. Bfk was good . We did not have a good experience. I should not have to pay to disinfect my own hotel room.

The whole town was charming except this one little run down corner of town. Our room was quiet except for the freeway which was about 30 yards away. Our room looked out onto the back lot of a shutdown factory or truck yard. Our room was huge and clean and modern with a nice couch, TV, chairbathroom was small. The bathtub drain was slow. And the tube was stained near the drain. The door of the bathroom was dirty poor quality and all beat up which did not fit the remodeled bathroom. The fridge and microwave were super convenient.

The staff I interacted with during my stay were all great & wonderful. Really made me feel welcomed. The room was overall excellent during my stay as well. The bed was a bit soft for my personal tastes, but comfortable nonetheless. My one significant qualm with my visit here was the complimentary breakfast offerings. Everything I sampled was quite bland & disappointing. Especially the biscuit I tried. Which was too tough to even bite through & had to be discarded entirely. Otherwise I would absolutely stay here again & recommend this hotel to other travelers passing through the area.

The room was perfect, except for the traffic noise all night. I usually put the HVAC fan setting to high, but was unable. When the fan shut off, I could hear the traffic noise all night. Room was excellent otherwise.

Good one night stay - comfy room, plenty of space and comfortable bed and bedding. Bathroom was a bit small and tight but appreciated the walk-in shower. Convenient location, close to dining and amenities. Hotel was in good condition, looked well maintained. Breakfast was decent, with more than your typical continental offerings.

Clean room. Could be a thicker bed comforter. Had Keurig coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator/freezer. Breakfast was great. Waffle maker, cheese omlet, sausage patties, sausage and gravy biscuits, bottled water, besides the usual cereal, oatmeal, juice, milk, coffee, etc. we had a room on the front side of the hotel which is near the highway which was pretty noisy. Try and not get an odd number room. The lady working the kitchen was great. Nobody at the desk when we checked out.

Positives are that we had lots of room in the suite, it was quiet, clean, we were able to hook up our firestick to the tv and the WiFi was fast. The front desk clerk, when we arrived, was helpful, professional and friendly. All the other staff were also friendly and helpful. The only negative was when we first got to the room it was 83 degrees in there but Will was able to reset the thermostat and it eventually cooled down and there weren’t any other problems. It was just a slight inconvenience but not enough to knock off a ratings point. All in all, I’d say this will probably be our place of choice when traveling from SC to VA from now on. You won’t be disappointed!

This hotel did the job, but definitely not as nice as the pictures. It needs a revamp, very old and dated overall. Doors, fixtures etc all had significant wear and tear. Also no sound proofing whatsoever felt like I was on the shoulder of the highway so barely slept on my 20 hour car ride break. I did appreciate they were pet friendly for a reasonable fee. Sheets and room were also very clean, bed was definitely newer and was comfortable.

Is when we checked in and got our room number and card we went to 218 open the door and they were suitcases and toiletries and clothes. The room was being occupied. We went back to the desk. Man behind the desk gave us a new room 319. Everything was fine no worries. However, this could got real ugly.

I checked in after midnight and was so impressed by the welcome I received. The young lady behind the desk was so friendly and welcoming. After 10 hours on the road I wanted a quiet room and a comfortable bed and that is exactly what awaited me. The room was clean and comfortable and I had a great night's sleep! In the morning they had an excellent lobby breakfast and coffee. The Country Inn and Suites was superb. Thanks!!
I checked in after midnight and was so impressed by the welcome I received. The young lady behind the desk was so friendly and welcoming. After 10 hours on the road I wanted a quiet room and a comfortable bed and that is exactly what awaited me. The room was clean and comfortable and I had a great night's sleep! In the morning they had an excellent lobby breakfast and coffee. The Country Inn and Suites was superb. Thanks!!

Loud clicking noise for a long time. Waited for a long time without anyone acknowledging me. They were busy trying to see why someone did not get a credit card for a previous guest. I understand that ia frustrating, but 5 people do not need be looking at the computer while a new guest is waiting to check in.

We reserved 2 rooms, and at check-in, the clerk said we could get adjoining rooms. So we got our key cards, only to find out one room was very occupied! Went back to clerk and not only could we not get adjoining rooms, they were on different floors. Everything else was perfectly fine, it’s just quite a surprise to open a hotel room door and see an unmade bed and someone else’s things strewn about. Fortunately, the people appeared to be out at the time!

The staff was super friendly at check in and during breakfast. We came friday night on our way through to high point and decided to drive back and stay here again Monday night because they were so good! Cookies at welcome and easy to work with if you needed a later check out.

Hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was decent. The hotel is right next to the highway, which is convenient, but the truck traffic kept waking us up. We would stay there again if we had a room on the other side of the building away from the highway noise.

Great location, right off I-81 - across the street from a Cracker Barrel and down the street from a Walmart with a Gas Center. The staff always speak to you and are very friendly. Loved the room layout and appreciated the refrigerator and microwave.

property was very clean staff was excellent..the bldg is showing its age. wanted to sit outside and enjoythe fresh air. no outdoor area to use. the pool is not open right now but some benches and tables would be a nice touch..a little inconvenient to downtown but easy access to rt.81 i would stay here again if passing the area.

The staff I interacted with during my stay were all great & wonderful. Really made me feel welcomed. The room was overall excellent during my stay as well. The bed was a bit soft for my personal tastes, but comfortable nonetheless. My one significant qualm with my visit here was the complimentary breakfast offerings. Everything I sampled was quite bland & disappointing. Especially the biscuit I tried. Which was too tough to even bite through & had to be discarded entirely. Otherwise I would absolutely stay here again & recommend this hotel to other travelers passing through the area.

Clean room. Could be a thicker bed comforter. Had Keurig coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator/freezer. Breakfast was great. Waffle maker, cheese omlet, sausage patties, sausage and gravy biscuits, bottled water, besides the usual cereal, oatmeal, juice, milk, coffee, etc. we had a room on the front side of the hotel which is near the highway which was pretty noisy. Try and not get an odd number room. The lady working the kitchen was great. Nobody at the desk when we checked out.

The staff was friendly at check in. The breakfast was awesome. It was a full hot breakfast that included biscuits, gravy, eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, juice and coffee. It was truly well kept and i would stay at this property again.

I stay here 2-3 times a year and it’s always perfect. I couldn’t ask for a better stay. You by far get the most bang for your buck. The best value in town. Not to mention the breakfast is always outstanding

The front sliding doors needed repair. The toilets had problems flushing in the public restroom and in ours. Otherwise, it was quiet and the staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and smoke free. The breakfast wasn't as good as when we stayed previously. It is still the best motel in this area.
