Got there to check in and there was no electricity at the hotel, everyone else around there had lights except for the hotel. Waited until after 9pm and still no lights so I ended up having to get another hotel for the night.

The employees were extremely friendly!! It has been awhile since we stayed anywhere like that. Do NOT be put off by the remodeling. Our first room didn't have a working lock, so they moved us to a different room and even let us look through it before saying we would move.

only one star because the property was a quite location other than that it isnt a good location. A lot of crack and homeless people and bad area in general.....NOT KID OR FAMILY FRIENDLY Beds are hard as rock bed frames stick out, floors were dirty sticky,only one big towel, eggs are rock hard so breakfast didnt save me money......there was NO WORKING WI-FI even when i called front desk it wasnt fixed .... charged me $30 for a hand towel used to clean up my childs mess....old elevator was messing up often safety hazard

When we were checking in, staff was outside smoking with some of the residents. Understandable, since you can't smoke inside.The staff don't wear uniforms, but was nice. A cute cat was in the lobby. The breakfast is just eggs and hashbrowns. Went to a function to get back and find out the elevator was down and we were on the 3rd floor. The staff was helpful with making the transition to the 1st floor. The room was clean. Seen a dead roach, better than alive I guess...seems room may have been exterminated. Overall, a good stay...somewhere to lay our heads.

This is an amazing property and I will be there whenever I need a room in that city. Very professional and polite staff, you can smell the cleanliness in the whole building, room was amazing, very quiet. I enjoyed my stay to the fullest. No problems at all!

Overall what makes an excellent stay is how comfortable the bed is and if the television works. This hotel had neither. I have stayed in other Sonesta properties and they were excellent. I will not be returning to this one and will not recommend my family nor friends stay.

The room was very clean. I only had two complaints. First, I had only been in my room about 10 minutes and there was a knock on the door. Before I could get to the door it opened, only at that point did she identify herself as housekeeping. She said she was seeing if I need anything. That shouldn't have happened. Second, the bed sucked! It was hard as a rock. If there had been a full length couch I would have slept there. If the bed had been better then we'd return. But we won't because neither of us had much sleep.

The clerk was friendly at check in, and the hotel was older, but nice enough. There was another guest that was yelling in his room (next to mine) for several hours - even after the clerk asked him to stop. The neighborhood leaves a bit be to be desired, but overall is was a good stay.

Well...the room i reserved was taken. Guy at the front desk said they were all gone? How can that be when i reserved that room specifically? I mean he was cool and all but still....didn't make since. I'm not getting what i reserved. Also that night till about 4am there were extremely loud neighbors just chatting away with not a care in the world...very loud. It was still worth the price considering.

Although this is definitely a hotel that needed improvements, we have stayed her many times because for the price - it was worth it. Rooms are always clean and location is convenient for our travel purposes. However, they now charge you $50 for incidentals (new procedure) and room rate slightly increased, which seems like it is for their “upgrades,” which include working vending machines and they put “new” linoleum in the rooms (over water damaged floors). Breakfast ends at 8 and the options were waffles or muffins. Staff was rude, also a new development. Won’t be staying here again.

I really enjoyed my stay and I had a far more comfortable stay than I thought I would. The staff at night were very cordial and had excellent manners. The staff in the morning was a little rude but not too bad. I would say WHY would you want to end breakfast at 9am? Most places do 10. That's the only issue I have. Other than that excellent hotel.
