Days Inn by Wyndham Abilene

This is an old property, so some items, like the chair in the room, were worn out. The back stairway to our room was dangerous, as the stairs were not built to regular standards - too steep and the treads were not deep enough.

We stayed here for the convenience to the baseball fields for our grandson's all star games. Luckily we were not here for the food nor the pool. The pool had a sign on it saying it was shut down by the city of Abilene. The water looked great so not sure what the issue was? Front desk told us chemicals needed balancing but for the 2 1/2 days we were there, never saw anyone address working on resolving this problem. Last morning, we went for the complimentary breakfast and there was barely any choices. One sausage pattie, a few potatoes, cold questionable egg patties? I reported it to the front desk and they came to "warm up" more food. It was cold, rubbery and they had not refilled the orange juice. We had eaten at iHops the day before but we were heading out this morning, thus went for the free convenience, not a good idea, lol. As far as location, it was near many restaurants, easy to travel to the baseball tournament and had a shopping mall a block away. It was clean and very reasonable, so I cannot complain about the price.

It was nice and the stay was good but the pool was closed during my trip and i was upset

Lost my cat on their property. They went way out of their way to comfort me and eventually recover my cat safe and sound. I tried to give a extra tip and they would not accept. Said they were just happy every thing work out well. My room was quiet, cool, safe and parking was just outside my door.

Has adequate parking for vehicle towing a travel trailer. Good dining and shopping nearby.

No elevator...

We went with days in because we wanted to enjoy the pool and the pool was out of service so to no being cleaned.

Stayed here for a softball tournament over the weekend. The room and facility was good, staff was friendly. Actually chose this hotel because it came with free breakfast and a pool. Only to find out when we got there after along day of softball in 100 degree temps that the pool was closed. Also, got up the next morning to get the free breakfast at 8am and there was nothing left. I would stay again but would have really enjoyed having the pool and breakfast available during our stay.

Motel was in poor repair. Stairs were dangerous and rusted. Carpet was torn, sheets stained, tile/grout in bathroom needed cleaning and repair. Photos do not represent current condition. Non-smoking room smelled of smoke.

Room was not REALLY cleaned from the last occupants, dirt on the floor and a dead bug was found... New stairways were being installed and the available tread width, walking down the stair, was INSUFFICIENT for safe travel..

The carpet in our room was disgusting. The tile in the bathtub had mold. Breakfast food was still cold (as in not cooked enough) and food wasn't being replenished.

The room was so disgusting I didn't even want my dog in the room. I went in to the room and used the bathroom first thing. There was brown streaks at the bottom of the toilet. I assumed that it was just scratced porcelain. While sitting on the toilet I see a small dried puttle of urine about 2 feet from the toilet. When I flushed the toliet most of the stuff I thought were scratches went away. There was pubic hair on the toliet and in the shower. The entire place was dirty. Coffee pot hadn't been cleaned,microwave and fridge had food stuck. One of the bed sheets and pillow cases we're covered in hair and were dirty. The other bed had something that looked like either blood or lipstick smeared on it. Chair looked like someone had thrown up down the side. Everything in that room was gross. We checked in at 11:30pm and it was dark I couldn't Imagine seeing it in the light of day. My sister who was traveling with me went to talk to the front desk about it while I looked for a new hotel. The man at the front desk asked if we would like to see another room so my sister said ok if it's clean and first thing she did was open the microwave and it was dirty. She asked if he would want to heat something in there his response was, no I wouldn't. She went to the coffee pot and picked it up and it was dirty he said it was just stained. My sister grabbed a cloth and wiped and removed the stain with a swipe. Our room was worse but the other was still unexceptable. Old dosen't dirty

The location was good. The property is old and run down. The carpet was patched. There was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom and around the tub. There was hair in the tub. Even though it was a non-smoking room, we were awakened by the smell of smoke around 3 am.

Like others, I have stayed in many, many hotels, motels, motor courts and roadside parks over my 60 years, but I have to rank this property as the worst that I’ve ever occupied…Thank God that it was for only 1 night. Used condoms, empty cans, QTips, etc under the bed. Mold in the bathtub, huge liquid stains in the seating area of the chair, filthy forearm and hand stains on the armrests of said chair, smelly sink drain/trap, sticky TV remote, wobbly desk that only stood upright…thanks to the wall and adjoining TV cabinet that it leaned against. The entry door appeared to have been kicked-in on more than 1 occasion and the internal flip-lock just flopped on its screws. There was some nice artwork though…an amateur, unsigned pencil drawing of male genitalia on the wall by the sink area was intriguing. Mountains of cigarette butts and fraying threshold carpet greet you at the room entry. Just pitiful. Crappy drywall repair and paint. Generally unacceptable on every level, but the best part is all of the folks randomly roaming around the parking lot all night. Vagrants, vigilantes or other….I don’t know, but I didn’t sleep a wink, for fear of my vehicle being stolen or vandalized. I simply cannot recommend this property to anyone. It is unsanitary, unsafe and not cared for. Spend a few bucks more and stay elsewhere.

Dirty moldy bathroom.

Carpet was ripped in two places, carpet was stained, room chair was stained and dirty, curtains were dirty, bathroom floor was not clean, tub / shower was not clean, sewage smell came out of sink when water was run. Linens were clean. I don't mind the rooms being outdated but expect the rooms to be functional and clean. This this hotel was barely functional and not really clean. The room did not look anything like the photos.

Room was filthy. Carpets were beyond disgusting. Bugs in the room. Was scared to get a shower. Charge me $160 for absolute filth. Smelled musty. I’m washing my clothes and bag in hot water as soon as I get home.

The room smelled of smoke. the carpet was stained. The chair was stained.

Rooms were not clean or sanitized, had a smell and smoke detectors were wrapped in plastic bag and inoperable. Towels were not adequate and plugs in bathroom area and coffee maker not working.

Not clean. Floors hadn't been vacuumed or mopped.

The place is run down, dirty worn out ragged carpet, the commode was not bolted to the floor and wobbly, shower head and shower handle were not attached solid in the wall with no water pressure and little hot water with a shower curtain that was too short causing water to flood the floor. This place is a dump.

The room was very clean. There was an issue with pipes rattling though. Sounded like a joy buzzer in the wall! The morning breakfast was not impressive but i would stay here again! Not bad for the area .

Hotel is somewhat dated but the room and bath was very clean. For a hotel with outside entrance doors, it was extremely quiet. Made for a restful night.

Furniture in room is very worn and needs replaced

Bathroom tub spigot loose. Carpet old, torn, stained and dirty. Lamp broken. Smoke alarm disabled - half missing.

Great staff! But, renovations are greatly needed! Especially, with the toilet is larger than the lids!! Carpet is very frayed, and stained.

The only thing I can think bad about this property is the AC unit was loose in the wall and every time it would turn on it would rattle the whole wall

We were told we could check in after 3, so we arrived at 330, and the front desk clerk said that the rooms were not done yet, however, when we drove around there were no Housekeeping carts out and all the rooms were "completed". Once we were able to check in...after 430, the room was Clean, but it was missing the reclining chair (but the table was there), the lamp on the right side of the bed didn't have an electrical outlet, 2 bulbs were out over the vanity and one was out in the restroom. The bed was pretty comfortable, but could be updated. It was a good place for an overnight trip, but I wouldn't stay more than that.

The toilet was not set properly - it rocked left and right. There were no outlets on the left side of the bed so if you needed to charge your phone, it could not be on your nightstand. There was no big chair to sit on - the picture in the internet showed a chair. Otherwise the stay was just ok. The room was clean.

We had a problem with the commode. I went to the office and told them; I was handed a plunger. I am 85 years old and that was not something I could easily do. The problem got worse and finally after asking to be moved to another room or get a plumber, they got a plumber.

The Staff has made my stay one of the best time away from home. Here for work and leisure! Will be recommending Days Inn-Abilene to all my family, friends and colleagues!❤️

Great hospitality! Housekeeping Supervisor gets a 5+ star! A true treasure to the hotel! Front desk personnel were awesome, too. My unexpected extended stay was never meant with inconvenience. Matter-of-fact the staff went out of there way to be very helpful! Will be recommending the hotel to my family, friends and colleagues!

From checking in and out staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and pool was relaxing. Located in a good area. Housekeeping was super sweet. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

staff was so rude. our tv didn't work we called front for help she hung up on us. then when called back she said job isn't customer service.

Staff unfriendly and they give you the wrong information and don’t want to accommodate you for their own mistakes

Manager was extremely rude and uncaring that the 3 rooms I checked into and had keys for, 2 of these were actually given to someone else after I checked in. This wasn’t made clear until after the rest of my family arrives at 2:30am and found other people in the rooms we were given keys to. The rooms were not clean at all and once the room situation was somewhat straightened out, the beds in the Handicapped room were dirty. When clean sheets were requested, we were told they had no clean sheets available.

Room smelled like mildew found bugs in room blood on bed. Workers were very rude when we told them the problem and wouldn’t give us an extra towel and charged us for their dirty towel that has apple juice in it

The staff is extremely friendly and professional. My room was clean and neat.

My wife and I stayed there for a quiet weekend away. It was very quiet and a convenient location with restaurants and stores close by

The room was old and needed some upkeep, fixtures, walls needed repainting. Overall, the room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was better than most and hot.

The breakfast was not ready when we was ready to leave at 7am.

Will not stay there again! Not cleaned properly,no hair dryer, only 1 garbage can, sink leaked so could put nothing on counter. Overall would not recommend! Breakfast was very poor!

This hotel was very comfortable, very clean and in great shape. The staff from front desk to housekeeping were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was varied and tasty. I was there for several days and never had any issues.

Dining area was open and ready by 6:00. Nice selection of breakfast items. Front desk and breakfast area was clean, cozy and nicely decorated.

A/c good needs more outlets near bed for charging phones etc. tv was horrible only couple stations available - ABC not able watch Breakfast not offered

We didn’t like the breakfast the eggs were horrible. If we had a problem, they took care of it outside that it was a very nice day.
