For starters, The pictures listed here and when you get there are not anywhere near the same. Elevator down and all the stairs felt like they were going to collapse at any moment when you get to each landing as rhey are verybold and decrepit.

The room we were given was not clean, the deadbolt did not work, the security closer was loose, the phone had no buttons and did not have a dial tone. There was no heat, and the p tac unit did not blow hot air. The bathroom door was dropping paint chips. The parking lot was nothing but pot holes. I would never recommend this hotel. We actually left and did not stay.

We were on the third floor and the carpet in the hallway looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years and smelled terrible. All the ice machines in the hotel didn't work. Had to go to hotel next door. In the room, the fridge had so much frost built up in it, the thing barely worked. The button for the elevator on the third floor didn't work so you had to use the stairs to go down. Also the air conditioner didn't work properly. This place was not worth the price paid. We will never stay here again.

I stayed on the 3rd floor. Elevator was out. Walked to 3rd floor via stairs and neither door on north or south ends closed all the way (no security therefore). Door on south end did not even have a handle to pull nor working card reader so had to walk back to ground level and around the building to enter 3rd floor on north end, which did not close all the way either. I would guess this violates building code. Nearly 75% of rooms on 3rd floor had large tape X's on them making it look like they were condemned. Paper liner on carpet added to the feeling. No warning that hotel was under reconstruction (I hope anyway). Several rooms on first floor also visibly out of service. Lobby area was fine. Breakfast runs 6-9 am but by 8:30 am half of the breakfast offerings were out (no OJ being one). Reserved two nights but room cards only programmed for one night, even though I asked the check-in clerk to be sure to program the cards for two nights. More unnecessary stairs. While waiting to check-in one woman approached the front desk and threw room key on the counter saying "I can't stay in that dog room" which concerned me from the start. Not staying at this hotel ever again. Guessing you WON'T publish this review, maybe you'll fix things.

Had "maintenance " demand to come in at 9 am and spray "ant/pest" spray all over the perimeter of the room, WHILE WE WERE IN THE ROOM. tv looked like it was covered in nasty bodily fluids likened to gooey milk... Many outlets didnt work at all. Beds were maybe?? Cleaned thoroughly. Showere takes forever to turn off. Toilet clogged with an average sized poop. Lobby staff was mostly nice. Had tennants/guests fighting constantly(idk cause there might've been people living there short term) . Pool water is greener than the pool cover itself. Wouldnt book here again of im ever coming to detroit area

Daughter arrived during the night for a room I had paid that night was given to someone else. She had to wait hours for them to get a clean room for her. AT 10 o"clock at night someone walk into our room with a key card, it was because they rented room out to this guy. Every time we left when we came back to room, key card would not work which meant another trip to front desk. Elevator was broke and my daughter had to carry all their luggage plus 3 floors with out side stairs and 3 kids.

Water pressure for shower was terrible. Only pressure for hot water. The bath tub gets backed up when you take a shower. The sink next to the bathroom gets backed up. Dirt everywhere. A half of a small roll of toilet paper. The pool outside was filled with dirt and leaves.

The lobby has been updated! The rooms have some minor updates. What was disapointing about the hotel room: there wasn't any shampoo, conditioner, or toilet paper in the bathroom. The counters weren't wiped and had crumbs and wrappers on them still. The floor hadn't been swept. When they tried to paint the walls, there were paint spots all over the floor. There's a patch hole in the middle of the room that was not finished. There was a light in the room that didn't work. Positive:the breakfast was your normal free breakfast but it was always stocked and cleaned.

The room was dirty, the vent unit had dirt all over the intake. The cabinet was missing a door and covered in dust, there were ants anywhere where food was and the desk was stained with water spots. I will not be staying here again

Room was very outdated. Broken fixtures, stained matress, sticky floors, no soap, no hand towels, no trash can in the bathroom, had to lift the lid off the toilet to flush it,. I was charged 50 dollar incidental fee in case something happened like smoking in the room, but then I had burning eyes and congestion because of the overwhelming smell of marijuana. The only redeeming thing was the air conditioner worked well.

Well the 1 bedroom room that we reserved was not available when we got there so they put us in a room with 2 beds in the living area. For some families that is ok, but due to medical reasons this is not ideal for our family, had we had another option to stay somewhere else last minute we would have taken it. The next day they go to give us a room like what we reserved, we went and looked at it, opened the door and it smelled horrible, then the area where our daughter would have had to sleep was on a couch bed which would have been ok, but it was nasty looking, dirty blackened arm rests, over all the new room was so discusting we decided we were better to stay one more night in the room we had inspite the fact we were all sleeping in the same area. Never again will we stay there. Oh I wish I had seen the hotel reviews prior to booking. The power outlets most did not work, so no charging phone or devices, the cealing was pealing where it had leaked, the heat/air room temp thing by the window looked like it had blackened dust balls where it just gets wiped clean and not actually cleaned all over, the cable tv was also out on some of the channels and according to one guy staying there it had been out either 1 or two weeks. Only good thing I can say is there was no bed bugs in our room and yes I checked. Our family will NEVER stay there again and if leaving and finding another hotel last minute was an option in our circumstance we would have done that. Never Again!!

The room was ABSOLUTELY FILTHY!! I dont believe anyone has CLEANED THIS ROOM IN WEEKS. Dark dirty ring around bath tub. Mirrors so streaked with filth it looked like a bar of soap was scrubbed over the surface. The CARPET WAS STICKY!! Not even sure how that happens. Needless to say....I demanded a refund since property management said they didnt have better rooms available. Rooms available, but not better Dont ever stay here!!!!!! Genuinely felt like i was staying at the local traphouse. Police were swinging by every other night, broken bottles by the front entrance, and im 100% theres people living there. The cleanliness of our room was simply disgusting. The carpet was so dirty that when we would shower, the floor would be black. Our particular shower handle was broken and the shower head stuttered. Additionally, the breakfast was essentially non existent, leaving us nothing but mediocre instant coffee. Would not recommend this hotel whatsover, please seek out different options. also, this place was pet friendly had a dog across the hall barking all night.

The room was disgusting , dirty fridge with dead fly inside, the carpet was disgusting dirty and not cleaned or vacuumed. The room had a overwhelming cigarette smell. People were walking around and looked like substance abuse users. The shower was moldy, the tv chair was peeling, the tv didn't work, the bed had no mattress cover on it. The comfoter was dusty, the phone was even dirty. I was very disappointed and disgusted

The location is conveniently located within walking distance to a gas station, convenience market, coffee, and breakfast place. However, the building is in disrepair. Every furniture, appliance, and structure visible in the room and surroundings is in horrible condition. Peeling paint, rusty faucets, poor draining sinks and tubs… thin walls so you can hear the people next to you, above, and around you. Not a value if you can’t get any rest at all.

Our room had 2 queen beds. The frame on one was broken causing the bed to be lopsided. The curtains were stuck and did not close all the way. The knob to pull up to activate the shower head was rusted off and did not work. So we couldn’t take showers. The room needed to be updated. Carpeting was coming up at the edges. The online advertising of rooms was very misleading. Disappointed and not worth what we paid.

The first room we were given had a door that didn’t seem like it closed properly, smelled of cigarette smoke outside the room and it was leaking into the room, a broken light in the Toliet closet, and the phone was all bashed in. The elevator was broken so to access the room on the third floor, you had to climb the rickety fire escape. I requested a different room. I was told when we get back late that night, we’ll be given a different room. The 2nd room was also on the 3rd floor. The door seemed a bit better but the condition of the room was really run down. Drawers on the furniture were broken, missing items from the walls, no lights over the sink, just really run down. The breakfast area was very nice as was the food items. The kitchen worker was very nice and attentive. That was the only good thing about the stay. I couldn’t believe this was a Baymont! Very, very sub par. It felt like the hotel was being used as a homeless shelter. I would never stay at this hotel again and even question staying at another Baymont by Wyndham.

However, the room was in poor condition, generally speaking, with both lamps and electrical outlets that weren’t working, and a magnetic door lock that were very fickle. Waited at counter for about 7 mins because the counter person was to busy making her lunch. First room wasn’t completely clean, pillow cases not on pillows, surfaces not wiped down. I called the hotel to let them know we would be checking in later as we had a family event started at 5 and we had to go directly to that location, they said fine, it was ok. We got there about 9:30 and there were no more suites available, only a double queen which as you know was a small room. There was a public hair in the bathtub. I was shocked my room was given away. I couldn’t make a real big fuss because we were tired and it was late so obviously we took what was available which was the last room. I’ve never experienced that. The next morning the manager said she would give me a discount on another stay but I declined it. Otherwise the hotel wasn’t bad. The breakfast was decent. The staff was really friendly. It’s definitely not a5 star but not a bad place. The room was clean other than what I mentioned. The bed was very comfortable.

First room had no lights, shower was broken, toilet roll holder was missing and door wouldn’t lock. Second room we were moved to the deadbolt was broken, and the homeless men a room away were yelling and screaming, pacing back and forth in front of the rooms until after midnight. The third room they moved us to the shower didn’t function at all and the phone was broken. The whole place smelled like marijuana and urine. This hotel was in deplorable condition, the mechanics of the place were non functional and the furniture was falling apart. Please see pictures. Staff at the front desk were very pleasant. Only good thing I can say about this stay.

Check in was by far the worst experience of my life, it took 3 hours to actually get a room due to not being available because they were not cleaned and ready. Once I got to room it was cleaned VERY Poorly, I had to go get cleaning supplies to clean with. After finally being able to get comfortable the noise coming from above my room was so loud that I couldn’t get any sleep (lots of kids bumping and jumping screaming…I could no longer take it, I packed me and my son up and checked out 3 hours later. No I was not able to get refund due to booking through third party….total waste of money, very disappointing.

Im disappointed with the staff that was here. I booked my reservation early to have a room with 2 separate beds. On the website it said it was a 2 bed suite so me and my wife booked it. As we arrived from our trip, the receptionist gave me a king size single bed room. I showed my reservation and I was charged an additional fee for the room I reserved. On top of paying for another security deposit. The 3 nights my family and I stayed here it was dirty in our room. Other guest was arguing and doing drug deals in the parking lot. The staff was very rude and disrespectful as if they had no care in the world. If it wasn't for the holiday me and my family would've went to another hotel. I've never stayed at an Baymont Hotel an experience the issues I've had at this location. Will not recommend again.

Upon walking in, I wasn't impressed with the hotel and the pictures are no where near what it actually looks like. The staff was rude. I was told that I didn't have a reservation that had been booked well in advance and even though the parking lot was close to empty, they had no other rooms available. I couldn't cancel online and had already paid in full and used my points. The hotel is now refusing to give me a refund and saying that I was a no show. It's a huge scam if they are doing this to people. I have lost money and was out of town, so I had no other option but to spend at another hotel. This is absolutely wrong!

The beds were amazing. The rest, not so much the walkways were filthy, the employees were rude. There were some sketchy people walking through and getting ice from the machine. Filling huge coolers. There was a man standing by the pool area asking for money. Then he stood there just watching us, until I felt uncomfortable and went inside. Also, it isn't listed on the site, but when you book there is a fee. Undetermined how much I heard one say $50 and I heard the other say $100. Mine was $50 The pool was decent. But couldn't enjoy it,due to the pan handler.

This hotel should not be on your site. It appears to have long term "residents" living on the first floor. Looks more like a "section 8" Motel. I did not check in due to the condition of the outside of the building and the people hanging out, outside. I will not trust your site if this is the type of place you recommend.

The place was in rough shape. Lots of garbage in the parking lot. Mold in the bathroom. There was trash behind our night stand. The bed seemed clean but was very lumpy and uncomfortable, as were the pillows. The elevator was broken for pretty much the entire stay. Breakfast was supposed to be at 7, but was late and I had to leave for a gathering so missed breakfast. Coffee was full of grounds. It wasn't great. Most of the staff at the desk was very friendly though. There was a line at check in, three people at desk helping one person and ignoring the rest of us. You can say you get what you pay for, but I've paid this rate at other hotels for better environment and service. The area seemed safe.

The service was bad. We stayed three days because there was a Michigan game no other hotels were available. Service was terrible. Trash was never picked up, had to ask for several time for new towels, breakfast was bad. The whole hotel had a musty smell. If there are no other, stay here otherwise stay somewhere else

This was by far the FILTHIEST room we had ever seen! First room the lights in the bathroom didn’t work,so we were given a second room,which had someone else's hair ALL over the toilet,tub,and bathroom.there was dirt and debris in every corner, NO toilet paper (went and bought our own) the ONLY clean part of the room was the sheets. We will be adding ALL Baymont hotels to the list of "never again".Friendly staff,yes- and the morning coffee with their breakfast tasted BURNT.

This is a very good property if your on a tight budget. Unfortunately our rooms were very dirty and the bathtub had hair from previous guest. One of our microwaves did not work so we had to use our other rooms. Besides that the breakfast and the staff was amazing.
