The hotel is nice and just a short walk to the beach. It has a pool and hot tub, which we didn’t use but looked clean and well-maintained. There are adult-only hours for both, which is a great touch. Such a lovely place to stay. We loved the close beach, the fire pits, and the wonderful staff. All were so kind but Naomi was especially pleasant and wonderful to us our whole stay. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer.

Loved the skybridge to the 6th floor where our room was at. Upper parking lot allowed us to walk from our car to the 6th floor. Great view of Agate Beach and hillside.

Hot tub's jets are several lacking and more like someone blowing water at you. Pool room is super dark but pretty windows. Rooms were pretty spacious. Bathroom door is the most annoying thing, doesnt completely close and doesn't lock which can make traveling with other lacking in privacy. Fire pit and trail to beach is convenient. Staff are super kind. Not my top choice of hotel in area but a good place if there are not a ton of options.

Excellent for a mid-price hotel/resort directly across the street from beach. Clean, comfortable, updated indoors (exterior could use a bit). Very good spacious indoor pool area with windows to beach for the kids which was our main purpose for the stay. Hot tub that kids are allowed in also. Dinner at Sea Glass Bistro on the patio with on-table fire pit and beach view was a highlight! Also there’s an outdoor firepit with adirondacks you could have a drink at. Espresso machine in lobby, candy, snacks and wine available for purchase at the mini market in lobby. Fitness center is small. Lots of free kids and HBO movie channels. Would stay again!

This hotel has beautiful views of the beach and Yaquina Head. There is a nice restaurant with some outside seating. It is an older building and does seem to have some issues. I think I was most disappointed that the pool and hot tub were not operational since that was a factor in our hotel decision.

We knew this was a Best Western Plus and so we were surprised and disappointed when the shower wouldn't drain, the refrigerator froze everything we put in it including all of the fruit we had purchased, and the cabinet in which the Keurig was attached trapped the cord so we couldn't pull it out far enough to fill it with water. We were hoping that a Best Western Plus would have been better than what we experienced.

It was beautiful the amenities were great. Everything in our room worked. Anything like paper cups that were missing from our room could be fetched from the desk easily. Anything that was a little sad was that the room smelled distinctly of urine and it was supposed to be a room that did not have pets

We made a last minute reservation because we had been on the road for a while and check in was easy and quick. The room was clean, quiet and nice. Beds were comfortable and the shower/bathroom was quite big. There was a mini fridge and coffee maker available as well. Good location just off the 101 and right on the coast and access to the beach.

I recently stayed at the Best Western and had a very mixed experience, with several significant issues that detracted from what could have been a pleasant trip. The problems started right at check-in. The person at the front desk was unfriendly and rude, setting a negative tone from the start. This poor service continued when I checked out; the staff ignored me completely, engrossed in a side conversation and making me feel like an inconvenience. The food options were generally good, but the breakfast was a huge disappointment. It was far more expensive than advertised, and the quality was subpar. The service in the restaurant was also a major letdown. When we tried to ask a waiter for help, she immediately dismissed us with the excuse that she wasn't our waiter. On a positive note, the bed was incredibly comfortable. However, even this was marred by serious cleanliness issues. The blankets had a strong, unpleasant "old person" perfume smell, which made me question if they had been washed since the last guest. To make matters worse, there was a visible stain on the side of the mattress. As soon as I walked into the room, I was hit with a strong, musty odor—like smelly gym shoes—that seemed to be coming from the dirty carpet. While the comfortable bed was a nice surprise and a great view, the lack of cleanliness and the consistently poor service from nearly every staff member I encountered made this a stay I would not recommend.

The property is lovely, the rooms are very comfortable and the view is awesome. The restaurant and bar has a great menu and the staff were very accommodating. Every menu item we tried was exceptional. There was a complimentary wine tasting of a local wine and the person pouring was very knowledgeable. The only thing that I didn’t love about the room is the barn door on the bathroom. It looks cute, but you can’t completely close it for privacy. Everything else was GREAT!

Not right on the beach, across street. Room and view very nice. Restaurant wayyy too expensive for entrees and for what you get. The fresh special meal was a tiny portion! The skillet cookie for $10 was very good. Hotel right on edge of north Newport, so not walkable to anywhere else.

The "balcony" was only 1 foot wide. False advertising. "Ocean view" was just a peep view. My room had an unrequested barrier-free tub that was cumbersome for able bodied folks to use. The "touchless" hot water dispenser in the lobby was challenging to use. Maybe posting directions would help? My room was next to the pool, where a whole busload of rowdy teen boys were having a fun time. Good for them, but we did not go for a relaxing swim as a result. It's a very long walk through loose sand to get to the beach. Your facility and grounds are lovely and clean, and your staff is pleasant and helpful.

We paid extra for the ocean view on the 3rd floor which made the high price tag not sting as much. Expected more for the price as far as comfort. The beds and pillows were horrible, my 5 year old, spouse, and myself tossed all night long......was happy we only stayed one night. Not sure why Newport, OR has such high taxes in hotels, kinda a bummer.

This was my second stay at this hotel. The room was great. Very clean and spacious. The barn door to the bathroom didn’t close all the way, and more privacy in there would have been nice. The staff wasn’t very friendly and one was outright rude. The handicap access to the restaurant was not working which really impacted me.

The room is clean and standard. Feel that the hotels.com app needs to re-evaluate their pricing guarantee. Couldn’t get the directions to work, so looked up the hotel website itself to find our room advertised for $50 less. Manager would not make it right or move us to a more comparable room for the price paid. Toilet paper holder in room was broke so when you grabbed tp it fell to the floor and rolled out of reach.

After checking in on the main floor, we were sent up and around to the upper parking and skybridge across to the 6th floor- a very convenient parking solution. The room was very generously sized with the fridge, microwave, coffeemaker that makes life easier. The MOST comfortable bed. Our room service breakfast was delivered very quickly and piping hot- and was delicious. The night auditor was very helpful when we needed some assistance in the wee hours. The views of the beach from the common area of the top floor were great and I’d recommend getting an ocean view room if you can. We didn’t, but I’d happily return to this hotel and make a point of it so I could enjoy the sunset from my perch! Overall, highly recommended!

The housekeeper busted in without knocking at 0990. She found my husband and myself in a embrassing situation. When i called the Front Desk to complain/inform, the Clerk was rude, and inform me that “ we had checked out”, and I told her that obviously that was not the case and when i asked for the Manager to contact us, no call came.

This hotel was the highlight of our trip! Wonderful staff, beautiful hotel and amazing grounds. Couldn’t be closer to the amazing Agate Beach (we walked to dinner in downtown Newport along the beach — highly recommend it!). The views off our balcony were spectacular. Within 5 minute drive to the stunning Yaquina Head Lighthouse. Would highly recommend this hotel and its location.

We made a last minute reservation because we had been on the road for a while and check in was easy and quick. The room was clean, quiet and nice. Beds were comfortable and the shower/bathroom was quite big. There was a mini fridge and coffee maker available as well. Good location just off the 101 and right on the coast and access to the beach.

Wow! Impressed with the dining and bar. Not what I expected at all. Been a lot of places across the US, and I have to say that my steak was the best I have ever had. The bartender makes the best old fashioned and the amaretto dessert was amazing. We drove all day long and wanted a nice dinner and some great drinks without leaving the hotel and we got just that and more. Thank you for a nice stay!

Enjoyed the view and the customer service. The restaurant food was excellent! The restaurant accessibility was a bit hard for my husband. I recommend chairs in the handicapped room to have arms for ease of getting up and down. We would definitely stay again!

After we paid for 4 nights at check in we were informed that the bar & restaurant will be closed for the day and no breakfast service this inconvenience lasted 2 days. We should have been informed at the time we paid. On our last day at 8:15 am there was loud banging from upstairs we could hear saws screaming so loud I could not hear the TV.

We loved opening the sliding glass door and having the ocean view and sounds right there! It was restorative. The 'Sea Glass' bistro was run by lazy children. In the span of 2 days, we arrived only to be turned away. The first was a 'Umm, we're closed,' excuse by some mouth breathing boy, who checked his cell phone as he walked away from us. It was the 15 minutes between Breakfast and Brunch on a Sunday. Didn't offer to accommodate us in any way (cup of coffee while we set up for Brunch?). The next day, we came down for Cheesy Grits, allowing plenty of time (10:20). The woman seemed horribly inconvenienced that we wanted to have a meal; "we had a bus load come in and I think we're out of Cheesy Grits..." As a chef of nearly 35 years, I smell BS from a mile away and staff that want to go home. Both times, we took our money elsewhere. Unfortunate and inexcusable.

I wish the bed wash a little more cushy and there was better lighting in the bathroom. But we loved the view, the fireplace outside, the lounge and other amenities. I really like that they offer a child free hour at the pool. We will definitely be staying there again.
