The site mentioned that there was a 24-hour front desk personnel. Upon arriving there was no one at the hotel and no one answered the phone number listed after multiple attempts.

Expedia should honestly investigate this property. The photos shown on Expedia do not look anything like the rooms you will stay in. Room floors were incredibly dirty bedspreads and overall appearance of the room was completely dated like we’re talking 90s here. Bedspread had holes in it. Hotel sent automatic message to Expedia regarding the check-in procedure and a deposit that was going to be required. Upon arrival the reservation desk lady said oh no we don’t require anything like that. So there’s a disconnect between what you were told and what is real. Online it says it’s a 24 hour check-in desk, they do not check in after 9 PM. There is no one available at the desk. I ended up wiping down all the floor surfaces with some cleaner that I happen to keep in my vehicle. And it was absolutely filthy. I have pictures, but I don’t know if I can upload them on here.

Dog-friendly room, easy to find, convenient, affordable

i didn't like being told at checkin there is an additional charge for dog. not a deposit, a 10$ charge. i was surprised and shocked and then the manager waived the fee. they are within the price of other hotels in area that accept dogs and are bigger. i'm trying to give this place a chance again as i used to go here a lot. the room small size, and dog fee after i've already paid online, makes me a motel6 guy. i took pictures as i'm concerned of additional charges. they did accommodate me requesting a 1st floor for my disability. but ill go elswhere next time.

No ice machine even though there is ice buckets in the room. Tv remote doesn’t turn tv on or off. Office closed at 6:00 so could not ask for help. Not worth the price we paid to stay.

They were kind to send a person for our late check in as we miscalculated our travel time- however the after hours reception host failed to provide us with the wifi and so we couldnt access internet. There was a few street engaged infividuals hanging around the parking lot and that made me feel unsafe heading to my car for items. We didnt find the bed comfy as it was squeaky and old but the room was clean. All in all we felt it was a bit expensive for the value.

Pet friendly with convenient location, and the beds were comfortable. However, The rooms were hot with no AC. We couldn’t open the windows because they had no screens. They had a fan in the room and it was very dirty. The hallways outside and stairs were also very dirty with dog poop smeared on the steps, both days we stayed.

Office was closed I didn’t even get to check in and I had to sleep in my car

First off,,, didn’t even get to stay at the location. Arrived at 7:30 pm and the office was closed. Hours of operation said that they closed at 9 pm. Called the after hours number and was told “ you should have arrived earlier and we can check in tomorrow after 3 pm “ My son and I were able to find another place just down the street thankfully.

They don't have laundry even though it says they do on hotels.com. It was a nightmare as the resident manager refused to refund the room. It took 2hrs to get switched to another hotel as everything was booked.

Horrible property. Room smelled like mold. Room was very dirty as if it hadn’t been cleaned. I went out of my way to go buy cleaning stuff and was like nope. So I checked out and went elsewhere.

This was one of the worse hotels, dirty and smelly. The bathroom was not cleaned from the prior guest. the floors were discussing. For the price charged, the least you could do is keep your property cleaner.

Room was advertised COMPLETELY differently. Looked nice and updated and clean online. Entered into a room that stunk of cigarettes and mildew. Rust on everything, dirty bed sheets, hair on the very old comforter (which was advertised as being a clean white blanket) furniture hiding rust stains on the floor. Overall very disappointed that I spent my money on this. Obviously they’re aware of the conditions because they don’t allow refunds

This was the dirtiest, noisiest motel I have stayed in a long time. Layers of dust throughout the room. Stunk of mildew. Halogen lights right outside your windows. Pillows that you would find at a dollar store. Hallways were filthy. This place should be condemned.

Rooms are very humid/wet feeling, the box fan was covered in dust/hair, everything in the room is rusted and stuff smeared on the walls. Bedding was nice and clean.

Dirty sheets, missing chairs, hot room and no way to cool it down easily

Floors were dirty, someone was smoking in the room above setting off the smoke detectors and the bathrooms smelt of smoke

The floor hadn't been cleaned, the tv didn't work. Room had musty smell. The sheets were dirty. Every time we needed towels we couldn't get ahold of anyone in the office.

Staff was kind and polite. Walls in the main area were dirty and covered in grime. Floors were also dirty throughout the room. Found a dog bone on the floor under the bed and mold/mildew covering the box springs on the terribly uncomfortable beds. Bathroom walls had yellow grime, blood splatters were found on the bathroom door. Bathroom faucet was not secure and moved freely in the counter opening. Minimal furniture in the room, had to hold coffee pot up to outlet in order to plug in and make a cup of coffee. Overall a terribly awkward and uncomfortable stay.

Inexpensive, small room, mostly clean but shabby condition. No chair, no desk, only one bedside table.

I don't like to leave negative reviews, but after staying here and the absolute joke it's become among my family - I feel honesty is the best policy. When we arrived, I went to the front desk to check in. There was no one there, and no bell to ring to get their attention. A couple minutes passed, and a man came out dressed in street clothes with no visible way to tell he was an employee, and checked me in. Very short, straight to the point, and showed me the sheet with the WiFi password. Next, was the setup of the property. It's highly confusing to find your room, the front desk guy showed me a map but it was extremely brief and said it was for the front desk so there weren't any copies for guests to take. I felt like I needed it to find my room. The property itself was pretty filthy. The only thing that looked like the ad was the floors, clearly they TRIED to renovate at least one thing and make it look nice but it was very evident what they skipped over. The setup of our room was also strange. There was a large window with no screen on it right next to the door, which we put a box fan in to cool down but it did little to nothing to help how hot and humid it was. And we didn't feel safe leaving the window open all night so we slept in shifts basically so we could keep cool. The TV was tiny, the beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom counter was too short (I'm 5'6" not a giant by any means). It was just terrible. Won't go back.

Basic spot to go to sleep. Room was worn, shades were stained, no desk or chair to sit in. The basics. Close to grocery stores and Walmart. On the man drag.. rooms were kinda noisy in the am. Clean sheets and fresh towels, bathroom was nice..free shampoo etc. overall good for cheap basic , the beach is a drive away :)

This is a very old motel on the side of a very busy road so it is noisy even with the windows closed. I read the reviews before booking and lots were undesirable but i booked anyway because of the lower price. If you just need a place to sleep with hot and cold shower and not a place to hang out, this is an ok place. My room had a queen bed, a table with a microwave on top (no chair), a coffee maker, a small wobbly fridge, 2 nightstands, 1 table lamp and 1 floor lamp. The table lamp has rust on it and there was a yellow liquid stain on the table i wiped off. There is nowhere to hang clothes/jackets. The bed is decent. There is no security lock, just one door lock. It got hot at night but there is no ac or fan, there is a window but it had no screen on so you cannot leave it open to air out. Good thing i read about the absence of ac and brought my portable fan. The outside is dirty, wall stains and cigarette butts and trash by the stairs definitely could use a lot more upkeep. Overall, the stay is decent but I will probably not stay here again.

Wasn’t as updated as we thought it would be. Decent place for the one night we stayed. Had to cover the window with the comforter, as there was a ton of light coming in and shining in our faces. Bed was comfortable.

Very noisy by the road. Housekeeping seemed sketchy (e.g. used coffee pod still in maker). I would not stay there again.

I’ll start with the positive, the guy in the office was very friendly and helpful. However the room wasn’t completely clean and had an odor. There are a couple broken down cars in the parking lot, that look like they’ve been there a while. The breezeways smelled like smoke because the smoking rules aren’t followed. The office isn’t open 24 hours, so when my buddy arrived for a different room, nobody was there. He called a number on the door and found out his room was given away due to his late arrival. It is a very basic room with no desk, microwave or closet to hang clothing, It will do in a pinch, but I won’t be back.

The room was really nice, bed was comfy, bathroom was spacious. The room had a ceiling fan but no AC... it wasnt the worst, just had to sleep with the window open. The lights outside the hotel rooms are so bright that even closing the curtains with my hairclip the light was so bright it felt like I had a lamp on in the room. And then wjth the window open due to no AC the cars were loud all night. So if you are a super light sleeper, keep that in mind.. other than that for the cost of the hotel the rooms were overall incredibly nice. And so were the two men at the front desk.

Basic room. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Wish there was a fan or AC in the room, as it got very hot in there. There were no screens on the windows so didn’t feel comfortable leaving a window open.

This was the worst experience I've had at a Newport Hotel in a long time. The desk attendant was never at their desk and the door was locked. The room wreaked of marijuana, and please dont get me wrong I dont mind the smell but its not somethingbone should have to constantly come across in the room you paid for.The internet was intermittent at best, and the bed was lumpy/mishapen, and the bedspread was merely plopped on top rather than a bed being made up when I first came in. The window had no mesh covering so when I wanted the overly warm room to cool down some I simy had to leave my window wide open to an open parking lot. The resident's that apparently live in the building had loud animals that kept barking whenever anyone new walked by or entered. The resident had a near constant stream of people showing up & leaving. The surrounding grounds where littered with cigarette butts, broken glass, etc.. I even hot the early morning pleasure of walking across a used condom while I went to my vehicle for work. Overall dud of a work trip only because the hotel was in disrepair & disgusting circumstances.

The staff were friendly, but also commented on the hotel's condition as skeezy. They recommended their nicer hotel -more expensive- down the road. There's no AC, the rooms -of which I was moved to two- were dirty and there was no escaping the cigarette smoke in the rooms, because you had to have the window open for air. Though the front desk staff members were friendly and provided me a refund receipt about ten minutes after checking in, I never did get a refund. I had to dispute the charge with my bank. Thankfully, after providing the receipts for the charge and refund, my bank was able to reimburse me immediately. I still had to wait a month, but the hotel would not respond to my request for help and Expedia actually wouldn't help me either. So, maybe reconsider using Expedia in the future...? Honestly, if you book directly through hotel it's usually cheaper.

Staff was really nice. The front desk person had our room keys all ready before we got there so just signed a form and we were on our way, it was seamless. The room has a musty smell but beds were comfortable. The bathroom fan knob was missing but luckily Fred Meyer is right across the street where we could buy pliers. The room was muggy and the window didn't have a screen but we felt safe in our room.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone specially how the night staff treats ppl. This hotel needs to take classes on hospitality and how to treat ppl that are keeping money on their pocket!!!

If I could give zero stars for this hotel I would the hotel staffs are very unprofessional and rude two hours before my arrival I got a call from someone from their hotel and just because I asked if they had any rooms with queen size beds he said he was annoyed and didn’t wanna deal with me and I told him I’m sorry it was just a question. He then told me that I had to pay for the room so I told him I would then I asked about a second room and he said he didn’t wanna deal with me anymore that he was just gonna cancel the room he hung up on me and canceled my room two hours before I arrived. I was supposed to be there at midnight and my family and I had nowhere to stay most hotels were booked out. I called and called until finally, someone else answered the phone and he checked on my room and he said that it was canceled. I told him somebody from his hotel canceled it minutes ago. He was being extremely rude as well and told me that that was impossible so I told him he could check his call log and check if my room was still available and he said it was but I was gonna pay almost double what I had booked it for two weeks prior. This hotel is a joke. I don’t recommend it not even as a last resort. Save your money.

The night manager is without a doubt, the absolute rudest and worst customer service individual I have ever encountered. Not only did he completely negate my initial Expedia reservation, making it impossible to use reward points, when we checked in and somehow now had 2 different rooms with 2 names (both rooms were supposed to be in my name for business expense purposes) he was aggressively rude and literally kicked us out of the hotel threatening to call the police...even when we asked him to fix the reservations so he was "satisfied" he refused. Without a doubt, the rudest and most unaccommodating individual I have ever encountered in any costumer service role, let alone the hospitality industry 😡

The manager was very friendly and helpful. Made a great recommendation for a seafood place downtown. Right on the 101, so there is some road noise.

Definitely not a safe feeling. Large homeless population in area, broke down vehicles in lot. Very dirty seeming, although rooms were obviously cleaned - smell horribly strong. Check in was easy, kind staff, but horrible hotel.

Location was great.

The staff was great, the building super worn down. The room smelled like cigarettes and definitely didn’t feet super safe overall. I was traveling with my adult son so we weren’t concerned, but both of us said we were happy it was just us men.

Area was dirty and unsafe, no air conditioning

Everything was amazing. Its in a spot where you can access almost everything by walking.

This property was extremely dirty, had absolutely no airflow inside of the hotel room whatsoever. There was more than a few shady characters hanging around the hotel room participating in some suspicious activities.

Location is great

In a good location. Is kind of a fixer upper though.

The unit was clean, staff was very friendly, location great being across the street from Fred Meyer and Safeway. It was a little musty smelling and felt kind of damp on the floor. The bathroom was clean, but the shower didn’t drain well and the toilet seat paint was rubbed off too much from cleaning solution. For the price, it was fine for me.

The breakfast was nice in the morning, simple but convenient.
