Loved this hotel - soon to become a favourite in London. It’s close to Paddington so easy to get the Heathrow express. Lovely spacious room with a kitchen. Lots of activities (like movie nights and yoga) if you feel like meeting up with people and being social. Friendly backpacker type vibe but more luxury and elegance. There’s even a laundry with free washing machines and dryers - even the detergent was free. Only downside was that the pool and spa were closed for maintenance and that was something I really wanted to use after long haul flights.

Beautiful place. The amenities are great and included, lovely steam bath and sauna plus the pool. Free coffee in the top floor communal area. Also you can do your laundry for free. Great place if you're in London for a weekend.

I have read every review for this hotel so thought I would clear some things up We are a couple and book hotels based on location for a good running route and the gym. This place is next to the canal to run or walk and have a lovely route into London. The gym has everything you need for cardio or weights The pool / steam room / sauna is relaxing there were enough towels but as other reviews very limited seating area to fully relax and shared changing area but easy to go back to your room and there is a cubicle shower area The studio is compact but ideal if you want to have a fridge / toaster/ kettle/ oven in your room and plenty of communal space - bar area, additional longing downstairs and one on the tenth floor Although on the canal there is a motorway beyond that so sitting outside isn’t too quiet or relaxing 5 min walk from Westbourne Park tube. Directions take you just around the coroner continue under the arch for hotel reception Staff are friendly and helpful Breakfast is pay as you go we didn’t have it but it looked lovely. Pastries and granola Room was clean and it gets cleaned every 4 days so if you want it daily don’t book here

This place is amazing - it’s like a resort hotel in the heart of Notting Hill. Beautifully styled but with real substance to back it and friendly staff, the cafe is brilliant, the spa is luxurious, there’s free classes and film screenings and an amazing vinyl listening lounge. Can’t believe how good it was!!

Great hotel would stay again - new clean, spa amazing! But missing some things that made the stay challenging for an older female like a shelf to put things in the shower, a top sheet if you sleep hot, couldn’t turn the fan/ac on for some reason to circulate air and kitchen is only meant for heat up meals or pasta and sauce. Nothing to clean dishes with like a sponge or dish towel. Missing things to actually cook. No mixing bowls or trays for oven to bake anything in. Still great to have the facilities to use. Tv also has the BBC radio channels on it if you like music. I didn’t ask at the desk because they never answered my email during an entire week on not being able to access the app and when I asked for something else most hotels provide I was sent to the high street at night to buy myself. I would stay again and bring a few things with me and hit a dollar store. This is not a luxe hotel experience. No slippers, shower cap or anything but really nice shampoo body wash conditioner. Bed is good too. Great concept and close to good areas (15 min walk). If coming from Gatwick take train to Farrington stop then 1 minute easy transfer to tube - easy with luggage! Spa has all gender change rooms a bit weird at first but it’s really just to store your things and the showers are completely locked and private. Most people change in room anyways. Gym really nice and has massage guns and filtered water.

The concept is cool but, I’m sad to say, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. This long stay hotel only opened in June and it’s already feeling a little worse for the wear. The common spaces are beautiful, and the gym is great, but the rooms are a little small and sparse (and have awful bathroom and vanity lighting for such design focused hotel!). The worst part, however, was the cleanliness. They don’t clean daily or even every other day so people would leave huge bags of garbage (and dirty diapers!) in the hall, just making it feel a little junky. I was also quite grossed out to find one of the pans in my cabinet was covered in grease because it hadn’t been cleaned between guests.

Stayed 3 nights. Had to try and check in 2 times after 3 pm before I finally got my room. Got a dirty room with dirty pillow sheets and some blue stains on the sheet. Looked like mold and was smelling. I had to complain for 1+ hour without getting a different room from the hotel. Then Contacted Hotels.com and they said they will found a new hotel, but they didnt. They contacted the hotel I stayed in and then I received a new room. New room had a problem with the sink. I told the reception about it 4 times to 4 different people, but NOTHING happened. I used a water bottle to manually empty the sink of water every day. Probably the worse customer oriented hotel I have been to. Not even the supervisor/manager seemed to care. Just because you know the first name of every person living in the hotel, doesnt mean you are service minded. Overall the hotel was good, but the service horrendrous. Maybe some kind of weird racial profiling from the reception, I dont know. I mean how long does it take to fix the sink? Even getting clean towels was problematic…. See pictures of dirty sheets and broken sink below.

The hotel's concept is very interesting and it definitely doesn't lack in facilities. However, the way guests make use of aspects like the communal kitchen, make it seem more like a hostel. Dirty dishes were regularly left on the sinks, etc. The need to use your card key to cross practically every single door in the common areas also seemed unnecessary. Finally, the breakfast was often plagued with small issues, from lack of glassware (replaced with disposable plastic) to missing items and stolen eggs, despite the staff's best attempts at solving them. Overall, there were plenty of small issues which made the stay inconvenient but not enough to dampen the overall positives.

Front desk staff were fmvery friendly and helpful! Very small TV which was a constant battle to stream/watch anything but channel 1. Offering overpriced pastries in the lobby for breakfast with an extremely odd policy of only cleaning your room once every 4 days. I stayed 1 week and my room was cleaned once. And someone elses milk was in the fridge when I arrived and when I left. I know theyre only two months old so much room for improvement, but a lot of potential!

Lovely place to stay. So safe and secure. Cleanliness was mid in terms of floors and some hairs on bath mat but otherwise no issues. Bedding clean and all kitchen work spaces and utensils clean. Lovely amenities definitely will come again!

Had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Nice amenities and the atmosphere is welcoming and cozy. However, housekeeping only comes every 4 days which is uncommon for me as North American. I don’t know if this is standard in the UK. This could be improved. Hotel is well located, close to Portobello Road. Would stay again

Loved the pool and the gym. More information was needed about the room and the hotel in general. We had to loosen a light bulb to turn off the lights. Our travel mate slept with the lights on because she couldn't turn them off either. a button on the side of electrical outlets shut off the power! Several advertised amenities were not available to us as our room keys didn't operate them, including the "listening room" and the "cinema room." Rooms shown online with chairs that were not in the room.

Positive - Gorgeous new building lovely interior design throughout and cosy but efficient studio style room. Also a great location. Negatives - Was not exactly ‘greeted’ upon arrival checked in with a very unhappy looking member of staff at reception who was not warm or friendly. TV was not working in the room. This is a brand new building and I’m honestly speechless at the way more than corners have been cut in construction. There is a big gap between the wall and the ceiling that feeds into the room next door so naturally you can hear every single sound of the guests next door it’s literally like they are in the room with you. Even a small cough or the rustling of a carrier bag can be heard clear as day. Could hear entire conversations word for word I was completely stunned tbh…I don’t know how they thought they would get away with that? So got no sleep really at all because of the noise levels which were completely due to the gap being left between rooms. You can see in my photos this gap is in the whole room, so something has been missed somewhere with any sort of insulation or basic sound proofing between rooms…such a shame as beautiful space but not worth paying if you can’t have any quiet throughout the stay

Staff was amazing, hotel was greatly designed and felt secure. Did not hear too much sound from neighbors but wish it was a little more soundproof or white noise at night. Facilities in the hotel and in the room were amazing.

The hotel only opened a few weeks ago, so everything was clean and in good condition, as would be expected. The bed was comfortable and the shower powerful and easy to control the temperature. The hotel itself is a bit difficult to find - I thought it might just be me, but I directed a few other guests to the reception during my stay once I had found it myself! More signposting wouldn’t go amiss. I’m probably showing my age, but I’d like to turn on the TV and have access to the usual freeview channels, not have to stream through my own devices. Staff I came into contact with were effective enough but not overly friendly. Good space in a studio room (without a kitchen) but soundproofing is non existent, could hear everyone around me having showers etc all throughout the night. Comfy bed but sadly didn’t get much sleep - the curtains are a very thin, light veil, which isn’t great in the summer months.

We loved our stay at Mason & Fifth in Westbourne Park! The place was brand new during our visit, and here are a few reasons why we enjoyed it so much - and why we’d love to come back. Everything was clearly designed with guests' comfort in mind. We especially appreciated the well-equipped gym, the pool and saunas, and the 10th-floor kitchen with a coffee machine, fresh fruit, stunning views, and a relaxing lounge area. The staff were friendly and laid-back, and our room was cosy, clean, and tastefully decorated - just like the rest of the property. The location in Westbourne Park worked perfectly for us and made getting around London easy. The only downside was the bed - it was just too small for two people, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, we’d absolutely love to stay here again on our next trip to London - hopefully, it stays within our budget!
We loved our stay at Mason & Fifth in Westbourne Park! The place was brand new during our visit, and here are a few reasons why we enjoyed it so much - and why we’d love to come back. Everything was clearly designed with guests' comfort in mind. We especially appreciated the well-equipped gym, the pool and saunas, and the 10th-floor kitchen with a coffee machine, fresh fruit, stunning views, and a relaxing lounge area. The staff were friendly and laid-back, and our room was cosy, clean, and tastefully decorated - just like the rest of the property. The location in Westbourne Park worked perfectly for us and made getting around London easy. The only downside was the bed - it was just too small for two people, which made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, we’d absolutely love to stay here again on our next trip to London - hopefully, it stays within our budget!

Our room was very small with minimal facilities. No desk or chair, very small bedside table, no coffee making facilities. Our room wasn't cleaned but I don't know if we should have requested it. The hotel facilities outside the room were much better. The 10th floor has a comfortable lounge area with free coffee and fruit. There is also a nice viewing area up there. You get a free coffee per day in the bar area also on the ground floor. We didn't use the gym area. Given the low cost we would use the hotel again.

The overall building and property is very nice with a ton of guests areas . The rooms are very small and not a long term apartment type hotel. The staff never responded on the app which they advertise as their communication. AC is nice and so is the gym. Would stay again with not many bags as a shorter trip.

Positive - Gorgeous new building lovely interior design throughout and cosy but efficient studio style room. Also a great location. Negatives - Was not exactly ‘greeted’ upon arrival checked in with a very unhappy looking member of staff at reception who was not warm or friendly. TV was not working in the room. This is a brand new building and I’m honestly speechless at the way more than corners have been cut in construction. There is a big gap between the wall and the ceiling that feeds into the room next door so naturally you can hear every single sound of the guests next door it’s literally like they are in the room with you. Even a small cough or the rustling of a carrier bag can be heard clear as day. Could hear entire conversations word for word I was completely stunned tbh…I don’t know how they thought they would get away with that? So got no sleep really at all because of the noise levels which were completely due to the gap being left between rooms. You can see in my photos this gap is in the whole room, so something has been missed somewhere with any sort of insulation or basic sound proofing between rooms…such a shame as beautiful space but not worth paying if you can’t have any quiet throughout the stay

Stayed 3 nights. Had to try and check in 2 times after 3 pm before I finally got my room. Got a dirty room with dirty pillow sheets and some blue stains on the sheet. Looked like mold and was smelling. I had to complain for 1+ hour without getting a different room from the hotel. Then Contacted Hotels.com and they said they will found a new hotel, but they didnt. They contacted the hotel I stayed in and then I received a new room. New room had a problem with the sink. I told the reception about it 4 times to 4 different people, but NOTHING happened. I used a water bottle to manually empty the sink of water every day. Probably the worse customer oriented hotel I have been to. Not even the supervisor/manager seemed to care. Just because you know the first name of every person living in the hotel, doesnt mean you are service minded. Overall the hotel was good, but the service horrendrous. Maybe some kind of weird racial profiling from the reception, I dont know. I mean how long does it take to fix the sink? Even getting clean towels was problematic…. The staff here was so amazing and the room was wonderful. The biggest plus was that we needed to drop our bag a couple of days early so we could go explore the Scottish Highlands and the team here allowed us to store our luggage early! This was such a plus and made a huge difference in our trip because otherwise we would have been hauling around two giant suitcases. This hotel is responsive, polite, And so accommodating in every possible way. I would stay here every time I return to London. I highly recommend this place.

This was a business stay, it ended up being a solid choice in terms of comfort and within commutable distance. One gripe I had is the amount of doors you have to scan through to move through the building, every two steps there’s a new door to scan through — other aparthotels e.g Locke don’t operate like that at all, even with a public bar/restaurant on the premises. What was most concerning is how invasive the check-in process is. You visit a Hilton and you flash your ID, they match the name and sometimes require a card to put on file. With Mason & Fifth, they make a record of your ID number (in my case a Driving License Number, my guest had to supply his passport number). Then they request your full credit or debit card number to be entered into a tablet, no encryption or nothing, no card insert option — they record this in plain text? No real reason why. It’s incredibly invasive and the data collection practices are excessive & questionable compared to other hotels.

Loved it. The gym, the staff at reception, the wonderful breakfast and the room. I changed rooms as the first one was for physically challenged persons so went to a smaller room and it perfectly fit. As it is a complex where people actually stay long(er) term, It is very quiet during the day but at night you tend to here more sound as everyone is ‘at home’. I would pick this again next time just for the facilities and people (Monica ❤️ and Leo 🚀). Areawise it is not the most exciting area of London. Although the recently nominated number 1 gastro-pub The Pelican is around the corner !

I got to the hotel 4 hours before check in after 24 hours straight of traveling and 46 hours of no sleep. The woman at the front desk went above and beyond to get me checked in within 15 minutes of my arrival. The room was ideal for a solo traveler, spacious enough and clean and cozy. The hotel’s common spaces were absolutely gorgeous. I didn’t get to participate in any of the many kinds of events/classes they host as I was too busy but I wish I got the chance to check them out as they looked amazing as well! I do wish there was a robe in the room but that is just a little high maintenance of me! Cannot recommend enough. 15 minute walk from Notting Hill made it a perfect spot to be in the quiet but close by to a great part of town. It was easy to hook my phone up to the TV so after walking 10 miles a day I could watch my shows and eat some snacks!

We really struggled to find the hotel. The reception had clothing and things for sale so we thought it was a shop, didn’t realise it was the hotel reception as there was no signage. When we returned after our concert the area to the reception was shut off and, us and a group of other guests were stuck outside.Tried buzzing but the coms wouldn’t work. Was very frustrating!!! There was conditioner and hand and body wash but no shampoo or hairdryer, so I couldn’t wash my hair.

The hotel only opened a few weeks ago, so everything was clean and in good condition, as would be expected. The bed was comfortable and the shower powerful and easy to control the temperature. The hotel itself is a bit difficult to find - I thought it might just be me, but I directed a few other guests to the reception during my stay once I had found it myself! More signposting wouldn’t go amiss. I’m probably showing my age, but I’d like to turn on the TV and have access to the usual freeview channels, not have to stream through my own devices. Staff I came into contact with were effective enough but not overly friendly. Good space in a studio room (without a kitchen) but soundproofing is non existent, could hear everyone around me having showers etc all throughout the night. Comfy bed but sadly didn’t get much sleep - the curtains are a very thin, light veil, which isn’t great in the summer months.

We had a couple of nights stay at Mason and Fifth going to see Oasis at Wembley. The location worked out very well and we found it especially convenient for the tube (Westbourne Park is literally just around the corner and Warwick Road an easy walk). However, we thought it's in a pretty sketchy neighborhood, and though the walk along the canal was nice during the day - with a couple of good restaurants - it's not that great after dark. Inside the hotel is super security conscious! In addition it was an absolute total pain trying to find any parking nearby - and we wound up parked at Paddington Station. Pluses: the staff were completely excellent and very friendly and helpful and, though it is absolutely bare bones, we thought the price was reasonable. The ground floor coffee bar was nice (absolutely nothing whatsoever in the rooms - be warned), and the place was pretty clean and very well kept and maintained. Zero complaints there - thank you. Would we go back? Probably not - despite the excellent staff and general cleanliness we're pretty certain we can do better elsewhere (for better room amenities, parking and nicer surroundings).

Really nice hotel in a great location, its a couple of tube stops from Paddington, an easy walk from Portobello market but with good local amenities. Its set back from the main road so its very quiet for London. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, the basement pool is excellent, really good length for lane swimming, and the gym looked good. The 10th floor terraces offer brilliant views London. Really enjoyed our stay, would definitely use Mason and Fifth again.

Really nice new hotel. Literally brand new it’s only been open 3 weeks on my visit. Lots to do here - I used the pool which was really nice. Although the changing rooms are bizarre. Seriously someone needs to report the architect to RIBA! I wasn’t told that the changing rooms were communal. I had my arse out getting changed and realised there’s a glass panel in the door so anyone could look in. Odd design. Then on leaving the pool to get changed I realised that the changing rooms are communal. There are no dry cubicals to change in, only 2 shower cubicals which aren’t ideal to change in as the floor is wet. Large area used for 4 hair dryers and large mirrors. Honestly the most bizarre use of space I’ve ever seen in a place like this. It won’t be long until they realise they need to rip it all out and re do it. I’m not that fussed personally but it would put women off having to change with men. Might wanna change in your room. I’ve been back since and booked again next week so will stay here as first choice while the price is affordable. The ground floor is a nice place to work in the morning too, although the coffee is pretty poor. Doesn’t live up to the pastries on the counter

Great place… still on the newer side. Lots of quiet or semi quiet spots to work or hang out. Love that they have a laundry room on site but hated making trips downstairs just to use the iron. There is a restaurant on site but the menu is subpar which was sad as it would have been a great place to hangout.

We had the best stay.. It's a new hotel and everything is top notch. We had a studio which is small but compact with everything you need. The chill out areas are great with a roof top balcony. We used the pool, gym & cinema room which is rare for London. The staff were brilliant, very friendly and made us feel really welcome. It's a 5 minute walk from the tube and the surrounding areas have lots of restaurants & bars. The canal restaurant at the hotel was well worth a visit. We would definitely stay again.

A wondeful hotel with nice rooms great facolities and pool and great value. Downsides are not a great area, beds are up against windows so good for one person but tricky for a second and no breakfast is served in the hotel.

Easily the best hotel I've stayed at in London. Stayed with friends, loved the breakfast granola help yourself, lovely pool, great guest lounge on top floor, room was compact but had brilliant facilities and the stylish decor is very attractive. Gold star for the cool and friendly staff. Will be back

Lovely hotel. Breakfast buffet was amazing! Room small but bed comfortable and shower good! Plenty to do and great facilities!

Very cool place, nice finishes everywhere and comfy well equipped rooms. The gym and pool area are really nice and the location is great for getting into town. The only negative is the breakfast: the quality of food is very good but it’s just very chaotic, not enough space to sit comfortably and whilst the staff clearly work really hard to keep it going, there is a constant wait for things to be replenished.

Cosy atmosphere and excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, sauna, and a well-equipped gym. Although the hotel is not located in the city centre, public transportation is just around the corner, making it easy to get around. Absolutely worth a visit!

Great location, really clean and great facilities in the hotel with air conditioning which was fabulous! Also a laundry room so if you are staying a while you can get all your washing and ironing done before leaving, really handy for those doing a tour of Europe. Only negatives, no mirror and plug by a dressing table for getting ready to go out and the double bed is a small standard double. Plus the bedside lights are attached to the wall right next your head so kept knocking them. Otherwise a great stay with friendly staff and well maintained facilities.

We really loved this place. Being a combination hotel and condo/work space rental it had a neighborhood feel, lots of room downstairs to hang outside your room, and was in a more low key area of town. The room was quite simple and felt like it could still use a few touches - like a chair or desk, and bedside table that were bigger than a place to put a cell phone, but it was clean and comfortable. We used the pool and steam room, and spent time by the riverside patio or other hidden areas that provide space to work or have a bite to eat. It felt safe and welcoming - in an area that is seeing a revival. If you go- spend time exploring the place and the local areas. Would be fantastic spot for a working trip.

The studio room on 5th floor cost ~£180 p.n. Had climate control (useful). Hotel looked stylish albeit with some quirks. Studio room wsa dictated by the placement of the door. The door opens, inwards of course, meaning you have to have space in front of it. The bed then was placed on the window side & the bed couldn't be any bigger than a double (no chance or a King or Queen). Which then led to the odd things. You need space, next to the window to allow that person to get into bed. Which, because of the size issue, afforded you enough space to have your legs shuffle in that side & into bed. Which then meant that the side table next to the window side was tiny (i mean size of a small plate). Which then meant to mirror it, the other side of the bed had the same side table and that meant you had half a room completely devoid of furniture. Dead space. The generous wardrobe was fitted and next to the bathroom. That meant when you opened the wardrobe, you couldn't get in or out of the bathroom. Bathroom clean & had the amenities but the toilet roll holder was placed such that your arms would constantly knock the roll onto the floor. Oddities like this extended to getting drinking water. I had to go to the 10th floor & fill up in a communal kitchen. No water from bar for my bottle. Area was fine. Easy access to public transport. You get a pool & gym. But didn't use them (no time). We had a good stay (bed comfortable) but aybe if all you want is a base look elsewhere.
