The staff and the cleaning were impeccable. The breakfast was amazing that was included with the stay and while I didn't use the VIP credit it didn't really cover one service so it just didn't seem as worth it to me. It was still a wonderful stay. The hot springs were not as hot as I would expect but it's a natural temperature so it was nice just having the bar located near the pool.
The staff and the cleaning were impeccable. Absolutely gorgeous grounds. We watched 2 sloths in tree above us just around the corner from our room (one of the drivers pointed them out for us) Only thing that wasn’t perfect was wishing the hot springs were hotter, they were warm at best. But will definitely go back - can’t wait. Stunning views of the volcano. Beautiful pool area. And not crowded which was huge plus.

Serene property, with beautiful grounds. Simple but nice room, with all necessary amenities, huge bathroom, patio surrounded by colorful plants, with a view of Arenal volcano towering above the palms. Wonderful ambience in the open air restaurant, where the included breakfast buffet was served each morning. Buffet had so many choices, all fresh and tasty. Coffee replenished readily by the attentive staff. Stars of the property were definitely the hot spring ponds and the spa. The massage platform, perched over the swift river below, was amazing, and the massage itself very good, as well. Staff friendly and efficient. We'd be happy to return here.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR FAMILIES AND GROUPS. What an amazing place. Upon arrival the staff greeted us like we were repeat customers. They quickly checked us in and even met my request to have our rooms near the restaurant. the rooms are actually small cabins with spectacular views of the volcano and native fauna. The buffet breakfast was amazing and had great variety, the lunch and dinners were also great. The resort has a great pool area with swim up bar and adjoining hot spring. the areas and rooms were always kept very clean by the staff. The resort is large and they have golf carts and buses to ferry you around the complex, or like many , you can walk. the location is 5 minutes from the town and near many tasty restaurants, and local sodas too.

This resort was amazing based on luxury plus harmony with nature. The hot springs are wonderful- about 9 small ponds and the big hot springs pool with swim up bar. Staff and service were top notch. You won’t regret staying here it’s amazing.

This was one of the most beautiful settings with the view of Arenal volcano from the pool area and even (we got lucky) from our hotel room. The hotel room was in a separate building with only two rooms in the building, this added a lot of privacy too. I loved the swim up bar at the main pool with multiple smaller spas. It was one of the best memories for all of us in my family.

This place was an absolute gem just outside of La Fortuna. The grounds were bigger and more beautiful than we expected based on the photos. The staff were attentive and so lovely to chat with (thank you so much Jose and Fernanda for making our stay so special). The eight thermal pools were lovely for an afternoon dip, and we loved that we could sit at the swim up bar or be in the covered hot tub when the afternoon rains came. Our room was spacious and the wife loved the hammock and the jacuzzi. Thank you to the housekeeping staff for restocking our coffee, providing meringues, and making fun little towel animals each day. WiFi worked well, parking was easy, and we loved opening the screen door and listening to the rain each afternoon. Our absolute favorite part of the resort was the sloths. We saw them twice near the front office and got lucky to catch one crossing the road just before we left which was such an amazing end to our trip! The only negative about this resort is the prices in the bar and restaurant. The dinner quality is okay, but we had much better quality dishes in town. Drinks are very spendy so we didn’t spend as much time at the resort or by the pool as we thought we would give how expensive they were. We really wanted to like La Saca, but having two meals there with very dry chicken, we were a little disappointed. However the staff at the restaurant were amazing! We will absolutely return to the property on our next visit to La Fortuna!

Beautiful grounds, lovely amenities. Lots of opportunities to spot local animals. There was a large cockroach in our bathrooms, but we excepted bugs. Bring old sneakers because we encountered deep mud puddles on our excursions. Overall a great hotel and delicious restaurants.

Overall I was very happy with the resort despite a couple of hiccups. The property itself is really beautiful. We stayed in unit 209 and have a fabulous view of the volcano and overlooked a grade with beautiful flowers. Nice private patio with 2 rocking chairs. The resort itself has flowers everywhere and the pool, thermals and restaurants are all in close walking distance. Con was problems with A/C and we had to call 4 different times (same day) to get it to finally be fixed (and even then remote did not work so could not turn down the A/C when it got too cold). Other con was when we first arrived there was a line of tiny bugs crawling up the wall. Called the front desk and they did their best to mitigate them while we were gone. But throughout the stay still had a couple here and there. Not a real problem as the bugs stayed in one area, and we could have called again but I didn't want them to spray anything while we were sleeping in that room. Check in was easy and quick. Pool overlooked the volcano and was really nice with swim up bar. We had desserts at the pool which were pricey but good. Only ate at the breakfast buffet so can't comment on other restaurants, but the buffet was extensive and fabulous, and the restaurant is open air looking out on green space and flowers. Upon arrival, found different chocolate bon bon type things waiting for us in the fridge, and on our anniversary had a towel animal w/rose and hearts on the bed. Overall would recommend.

This resort went above and beyond any of our expectations. The photos do not do it justice- the property is quiet, full of native plants, wildlife, and the property is maintained meticulously. The rooms were extremely clean, designed well, and the individual villas were SO much nicer than just a hotel room. Our porch of our villa had a beautiful view of the volcano. The biggest highlight of our trip was the staff. Every single staff member we encountered was kind, respectful, helpful, and made us feel welcome. There was no request too large for them to accommodate. We purchased a “day pass” for another hot spring resort and were so disappointed by the staff, services, and the food. We couldn’t wait to return to our resort. The excursions offered by the resort were so much fun, and every little detail was planned for us. All we had to do was show up. The pools are so nice, maintained well, and offer a variety of temperatures. The hot spring ponds were secluded and really made you feel like you were in a natural hot spring in the middle of the jungle. Finally, the food was incredible. The complimentary breakfast buffet was some of the best food I’ve had in Costa Rica, and I looked forward to it every single morning. There are also 3 other restaurants on the property with dining options for lunch and dinner. Overall, I can not express how great of an experience this was and I would absolutely return to this resort for my next vacation!

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Arenal Manoa & Hot Springs Resort for our honeymoon. We have stayed at numerous hotels internationally and we can honestly say that Arenal Manoa is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The hotel itself is beautiful (the scenery is stunning and wildlife is incredible) and our room was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel facilitates were well looked after and the pool area was always clean. The hot springs were wonderful and there are plenty of them, even when it was busier. The staff are incredibly friendly and could not do enough to help us enjoy our stay. We would especially like to thank José, Carlos and Edwin who served us multiple times - they were so helpful and friendly, and really helped to make our experience memorable. The food was slightly expensive compared to local restaurants, but was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. We would recommend Arenal Manoa to anyone visiting the La Fortuna area and would love to visit again one day. Thank you Arenal Manoa!

Great 10 Hot Spring pools! View from room was spectacular; but the walls between rooms was paper thin and if our bathroom door wasn't closed, we could hear our neighbors. This was also true with the shower...could not take a shower when our neighbors were due to lack of hot water. Good restaurant, excellent breakfast and VERY pleasant dining room. Plenty of fresh drinking water available. Nice walking around resort. Beautiful spa overlooking the river. Birds, flowering plants and iguanas abundant. Hope the hotel reception can replace their area rug soon...dirty and falling apart. Sushi bar and pool were outstanding for a smaller meal. Happy hours 4-5 and 5-6! Yes, highly recommend the resort. Don't be surprised by the gravel road that takes you there...

Overall I was very happy with the resort despite a couple of hiccups. The property itself is really beautiful. We stayed in unit 209 and have a fabulous view of the volcano and overlooked a grade with beautiful flowers. Nice private patio with 2 rocking chairs. The resort itself has flowers everywhere and the pool, thermals and restaurants are all in close walking distance. Con was problems with A/C and we had to call 4 different times (same day) to get it to finally be fixed (and even then remote did not work so could not turn down the A/C when it got too cold). Other con was when we first arrived there was a line of tiny bugs crawling up the wall. Called the front desk and they did their best to mitigate them while we were gone. But throughout the stay still had a couple here and there. Not a real problem as the bugs stayed in one area, and we could have called again but I didn't want them to spray anything while we were sleeping in that room. Check in was easy and quick. Pool overlooked the volcano and was really nice with swim up bar. We had desserts at the pool which were pricey but good. Only ate at the breakfast buffet so can't comment on other restaurants, but the buffet was extensive and fabulous, and the restaurant is open air looking out on green space and flowers. Upon arrival, found different chocolate bon bon type things waiting for us in the fridge, and on our anniversary had a towel animal w/rose and hearts on the bed. Overall would recommend.

Propert is lush green with views of the volcano from the rooms. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and service is excellent. The breakfast buffet is great and has lots of options for Vegetarians and Vegans. Each room is private and none in front or back that can see inside Only issue that we had was the internet was spotty- they sent some one to fix it but was still spotty- otherwise no issues with the rest of the place

We had a nice stay at this property. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. We had dinner twice at the property and the food was so-so. The rooms were dated and beds were not very comfortable. However the pool areas were well maintained. The hot springs were lovely as well but didnt not realize hot springs were not hot but more like "warm" springs. Easy 10min drive to La Fortuna. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

This place was an absolute gem just outside of La Fortuna. The grounds were bigger and more beautiful than we expected based on the photos. The staff were attentive and so lovely to chat with (thank you so much Jose and Fernanda for making our stay so special). The eight thermal pools were lovely for an afternoon dip, and we loved that we could sit at the swim up bar or be in the covered hot tub when the afternoon rains came. Our room was spacious and the wife loved the hammock and the jacuzzi. Thank you to the housekeeping staff for restocking our coffee, providing meringues, and making fun little towel animals each day. WiFi worked well, parking was easy, and we loved opening the screen door and listening to the rain each afternoon. Our absolute favorite part of the resort was the sloths. We saw them twice near the front office and got lucky to catch one crossing the road just before we left which was such an amazing end to our trip! The only negative about this resort is the prices in the bar and restaurant. The dinner quality is okay, but we had much better quality dishes in town. Drinks are very spendy so we didn’t spend as much time at the resort or by the pool as we thought we would give how expensive they were. We really wanted to like La Saca, but having two meals there with very dry chicken, we were a little disappointed. However the staff at the restaurant were amazing! We will absolutely return to the property on our next visit to La Fortuna!

An excellent choice if hotel among the huge range in this area. Large bedrooms with large bathrooms and helpful staff We especially loved all the on-site hot springs, especially in the evenings as the pools are atmospherically lit, and you don’t have to drive in the dark for the experience! Very well located near good restaurants.

Reception staff did an outstanding job of helping to arrange transportation for our trip from the airport, any trip into town, as well as other excursions. Transportation staff (especially Freddy!) were friendly and hospitable. The grounds were beautiful and rooms were very clean and comfortable. We hope to come back again some day!

Went in to check in. Room wasn’t ready but room #was given. We told the lady we would return after we went looking around town. Came back our room was given to someone else. They put us all the way far corner and was woken up by construction crew was hammering down early in the morning. Worst stay and experience ever!!!

Their free wifi is terrible! Doesnt work. We get a free upgrade through our expedia account. The front desk guy said there were no rooms since we could only upgrade to the next level, which was fine. We saw the another room that we wanted to upgrade to and was willing to pay difference. It was on expedia. The front desk guy said said the room was triple on their website, which was a lie, i checked and it wasnt. He gave us a really hard time and would not upgrade us with the expedia price even though our reservation was through expedia and we were willing to pay different. We ended up not upgrading since it was 8 pm and wanted a ridiculous amount of money to upgrade. Hot springs at this resort wasn't anything special either. The only thing nice was the view from breakfast restaurant.

We stayed at Arenal Manoa for five days in one of the junior suites. It was a fantastic stay! The property is beautifully maintained and the vegetation is beautiful. We saw toucan, a pack of howler monkeys, lizards and countless birds. We would absolutely stay here again! The new hot spring pools were such a treat. Also, the staff is amazing. They go above and beyond for anything you need. I want to shout out Evelyn at the front desk specifically. I left my phone in an Uber and we were having difficulty communicating with the driver and she was able to hop on the phone and coordinate having him return it to the property. She is a life saver!

Absolutely loved our stay! The staff made all the difference—they were amazing from start to finish. Amazing views of Arenal volcano!! Staff provided excellent hospitality and went above and beyond for anything that was requested. Stayed 5 nights as we toured the area. Hot springs are nice and the food was top notch. Check in and out was a breeze. Even gave us a complimentary lunch one day. The flora and fauna kept us engaged and the pool are is cool. Great trip to Costa Rica and Arenal Manoa made it happen.

This resort went above and beyond any of our expectations. The photos do not do it justice- the property is quiet, full of native plants, wildlife, and the property is maintained meticulously. The rooms were extremely clean, designed well, and the individual villas were SO much nicer than just a hotel room. Our porch of our villa had a beautiful view of the volcano. The biggest highlight of our trip was the staff. Every single staff member we encountered was kind, respectful, helpful, and made us feel welcome. There was no request too large for them to accommodate. We purchased a “day pass” for another hot spring resort and were so disappointed by the staff, services, and the food. We couldn’t wait to return to our resort. The excursions offered by the resort were so much fun, and every little detail was planned for us. All we had to do was show up. The pools are so nice, maintained well, and offer a variety of temperatures. The hot spring ponds were secluded and really made you feel like you were in a natural hot spring in the middle of the jungle. Finally, the food was incredible. The complimentary breakfast buffet was some of the best food I’ve had in Costa Rica, and I looked forward to it every single morning. There are also 3 other restaurants on the property with dining options for lunch and dinner. Overall, I can not express how great of an experience this was and I would absolutely return to this resort for my next vacation!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Manoa. The hotel cabana style room was very private and peaceful. The hot springs were a nice feature. We dined at the hotel on 2 of 3 nights, but chose the poolside bar as the main restaurant did not suit our children food tastes, however the quality was excellent. The food and drinks at the hotel were expensive compared to the plentiful bars/restaurants in La Fortuna, which is a 10minute drive away. There seemed to be plenty taxis (Uber) available into town for only a few dollars each way. There are lots of activities and excursions available in the area. Swimming at La Fortuna waterfall and nearby hot river was our highlight.

I loved the location of the property. It was centrally located around all the adventures that La Fortuna had to offer. The grounds and villas were well maintained. The staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet had a variety of items to select from. We especially enjoyed the fresh fruit and sitting on the patio of our villa early in the morning, with a cup of coffee enjoying the sounds of nature!

The beds were very comfortable and our room was clean, well maintained and had a gorgeous view of the volcano. Great variety of breakfast options. Try the hot chocolate! Had a lovely massage by the river. The staff was truly amazing. Great people! My two nit-picky wishes for MANOA are: 1. Try a different dinner menu at Saca or chef-unfortunately the food was bland, lacked seasoning and needed salt. 2. Using electric vehicles would make for better air quality for those walking on the property.

We love that they had a pool and thermal springs. The only things we didn’t love were the insane prices at the pool bar areas $30 for a shrimp quesadilla for example and $20 per drink even more expensive than in US felt abusive.

The food and drinks at the hotel were expensive compared to the plentiful bars/restaurants in La Fortuna, which is a 10minute drive away. There seemed to be plenty taxis (Uber) available into town for only a few dollars each way. There are lots of activities and excursions available in the area. Swimming at La Fortuna waterfall and nearby hot river was our highlight.

Loved everything about our stay! The staff were so nice and helpful. The breakfast has so many options for everyone and is very good. We had dinner at the sushi place and main restaurant, both were excellent. Even though the hotel was sold out it did not feel like that at all. We had some of the hot spring pools to our selves, which was so nice after hiking and exploring the area.

The breakfast buffet was fabulous. Very fresh and lots of options. The restaurant setting was so beautiful as well The hot springs were very cool at night especially. The staff could not have been more polite and accommodating

This resort went above and beyond any of our expectations. The photos do not do it justice- the property is quiet, full of native plants, wildlife, and the property is maintained meticulously. The rooms were extremely clean, designed well, and the individual villas were SO much nicer than just a hotel room. Our porch of our villa had a beautiful view of the volcano. The biggest highlight of our trip was the staff. Every single staff member we encountered was kind, respectful, helpful, and made us feel welcome. There was no request too large for them to accommodate. We purchased a “day pass” for another hot spring resort and were so disappointed by the staff, services, and the food. We couldn’t wait to return to our resort. The excursions offered by the resort were so much fun, and every little detail was planned for us. All we had to do was show up. The pools are so nice, maintained well, and offer a variety of temperatures. The hot spring ponds were secluded and really made you feel like you were in a natural hot spring in the middle of the jungle. Finally, the food was incredible. The complimentary breakfast buffet was some of the best food I’ve had in Costa Rica, and I looked forward to it every single morning. There are also 3 other restaurants on the property with dining options for lunch and dinner. Overall, I can not express how great of an experience this was and I would absolutely return to this resort for my next vacation!

We had a nice stay at this property. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. We had dinner twice at the property and the food was so-so. The rooms were dated and beds were not very comfortable. However the pool areas were well maintained. The hot springs were lovely as well but didnt not realize hot springs were not hot but more like "warm" springs. Easy 10min drive to La Fortuna. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

The grounds are gorgeous and the hot springs are nice and warm. The room is simple and plain. The beds are okay. It was cloudy when we visited so we missed the Volcanic view. The breakfast buffet has a nice variety; although we found the food to be mediocre.

This resort is amazing and the staff is great. My only complaint is that the bathroom in the room has a permanently open small window. This makes the bathroom extremely humid and uncomfortable. You have to keep the bathroom door closed so that the room does not feel the same.
