My boyfriend and I loved everything about the property! There are golf carts to take you everywhere around the property at anytime and umbrellas available on every corner in case of rain. The food and service was amazing each time. We had the same waitress our whole entire stay(Cindy) who was super sweet and patient with us! Cindy is amazing. We are so happy we met her. Every other staff member we interacted with was awesome as well and very helpful. This property was very romantic and intimate. It also had everything we needed. THANK YOU AMOR ARENAL!

My wife and I went for our honeymoon and the resort delivered far above and beyond our expectations. The casita was beautiful, clean, and private. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. The restaurants, pools, massage, yoga room, and hiking trails were all top notch. They even helped coordinate a few offsite excursions. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting La Fortuna.

The cabins ("casitas") are lovely, comfortable, and very private, with hot tubs built into the deck and a plate glass view of Arenal Volcano from the double rain shower. Beds extremely comfortable. Wonderful staff. Two on-campus hiking trails with lots of animals. Gym, spa, and yoga and meditation cabins also look directly out into the rain forest. Beautiful.

This was the most beautiful property! Our shower was huge and had an amazing view of the volcano. Awesome hottub on our own personal, private patio. Swim up bar with fantastic drinks, amazing food and wonderful hikes on the property. I would highly recommend this place!!

The Hotel Amor Arenal is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The private casita is a little sanctuary nestled in the jungle, allowing you to experience the jungle from the safety and luxurious comfort of its well-crafted rooms. You will feel like a cast member in The White Lotus. The best parts: 1. The view of the Arenal volcano is stunning, but clouds often hide it. That's ok because there is plenty to look at with complex patterns of tropical plants crossing a valley and ridges. 2. Wake to the sound of parrots and howler monkeys 3. Sip morning coffee from your own personal deck and hot tub. 3. Take a dip in your choice of three beautiful pools - one with a swim-up bar that is heated and a cool pool with a waterfall. 4. Animal sightings - from snakes, to green-eyed tree frogs, slots, parrots, monkeys. 5. The grounds are meticulously cared for - secluded and safe with stone pathways, an open air restaurant, meditation decks and two hiking trails on property that are the right amount of challenge. 6. Extremely accommodating service and staff. You really don't have to (or will want to) leave the property. They have everything you need from a coffee house and gym on premise to a spa and trails. My only recommendation for the hotel is better weather stripping beneath the doors so that the jungle stays out. We had a couple of gecko and bug visitors that managed their way in. Who could blame them, though!

Room was beautiful. Staff was extremely helpful when booking excursions, using the shuttle to get to town, and getting around the property especially in the rain. Food at the hotel was good but it's also close to town and you can get good food while out. Spa was great.

From the moment we arrived at Amor Arenal—welcomed by Abigail’s calming energy after our long drive from San José—to the moment we checked out, everything was exceptional. Every team member we met was warm and attentive. Crystal stood out for her friendly, knowledgeable guidance on the local wildlife; Griselda for her restorative, soulful wellness session; and Jhonny for his consistently kind and thoughtful service. The team at El Rancho was also wonderful, and the food was outstanding—fresh, flavourful, and beautifully authentic. Every meal impressed us. Our spa experience was memorable as well—from the soothing aromas and ginger-lemon tea to the Sleepy Sloth ritual with Tibetan bowls, hot stones, and essential oils. And our casita was the true highlight: beautifully designed, with incredible volcano views from both the private hot pool and the breathtaking shower. The only regret was that we didn’t stay longer…could not recommend this destination more.

We absolutely loved everything about the hotel and the staff service was superb. The only thing we did not like so much was the food for lunch and dinner. Everything else was phenomenal. If the hotel could provide a breakfast buffet and a more aunthentic menu, that would make it so much better. The personal jacuzzi in the room and the volcano views were amazing! The staff super friendly and accommodating.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. The place is beautiful, our room was always clean. We enjoyed the spa couple treatment. The staff are very friendly and it feels like they just want you to be happy and enjoy your stay. We celebrated our anniversary and my birthday and the staff really made an effort to make us feel special. We would definitely recommend this place and would be glad to visit again.

This was by far, the nicest resort we have ever stayed at! The comfort, cleanliness, and views from the room were top-notch! This is luxury while being surrounded by nature and I cannot overstate how incredibly fun, peaceful, romantic and the list goes on...this stay was. The customer service from each and every individual at the resort was incredible - they truly and genuinely get to know you and interact with you during every passing. The restaurant food was phenomenal and the spa was absolutely breathtaking and like nothing we ever experienced before. You need this experience in your life, trust me. Book the trip and you will have the time of your life!!

From arrival to check out this resort has gone above and beyond. Not only is the property beautiful and well-maintained but the people are so kind. We will forever remember some of the people we met, Ronald, Leonardo, Natalia (hostess at restaurant), reception and the multiple golf cart drivers. I will forever remember my 40th birthday because of the top notch hospitality we received. Thank you Amor Arenal.

Really a luxury stay. I’m not used to such all encompassing service. Even provided some gifts for our anniversary. Great site with great sights. Privacy was excellent and views were stunning. Jungle is a bit noisy but we found it a perfect background white noise to accompany the summer rains.

Me and my partner travelled from London England. Beautiful accommodation with stunning grounds. Bed was very comfortable and staff were very attentive to detail. They gave us extra pilllows, an abundance of towels and even gave us a fully stocked mini bar that was free for our use. Loved my time there and will definitely be recommending to others.

We had an amazing time at Amor Arenal! I booked the hotel based on the photos of their unique bungalows, rustic design with modern amenities and a private outdoor hot tub. Those bungalows exceed out our expectations during the four-night stay. The most amazing part is their wonderful staff, from front desk staff Byron, to Willie, to Valeria and Lauren at the restaurants, truly passionate and caring. The spa is serene. We travel around the world a lot. Amor Arenal is definitely one of our favorites now, comparable to 137 Pillars House in Chiang Mai.

The stay at amor arenal was amazing and worth every penny to me and my wife. We enjoyed the service as they were ready to help a phone call away especially when it came to spotting wildlife like sloths or toucans. The breakfast here was amazing as well and we enjoyed the open scenery to the rainforest while eating. Amor Arenal absolutely took my breath away. I’d put it right up there with Nayara Springs—just on a smaller, more intimate scale. The private villas are pure luxury, with stunning wooden architecture that blends beautifully with the natural surroundings. Everything is thoughtfully designed for comfort: powerful AC, a dehumidifier, excellent water pressure, and perfectly hot showers. The mini fridge is a dream—stocked daily with complimentary sangria (honestly, some of the best I’ve ever had), beer, and a selection of nonalcoholic drinks. I couldn’t get enough of the fresh fruit juices and local fruit each morning. This is one my favorite places I’ve ever stayed. The room was beautiful and we loved the wood and rock used. The shower room with view of the Volcano was absolutely amazing as was the outside space. The bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed having a couple movie channels to watch in downtime. The complimentary mini bar and breakfast was very appreciated. We can’t say enough about the wonderful staff, they anticipated needs and were so thoughtful and fun. We were lucky we were able to see the Volcano so often, and we really enjoyed seeing the Toucans outside our deck! The bungalows were close together but very private, everything was well done!!

Our stay was amazing. From the time we arrived from the gate to the time we left. The concierge, valet, and everyone in the resort were so friendly and accommodating. They treated us like we are family. Every time we dine in the restaurant they knew who we are and accommodated my son who is gluten free. I would highly recommend this resort. Our room has our own jacuzzi and amazing views of the arenal volcano. Our shower has rain shower head and Amazing view of the volcano as well while showering. They refill the bar every morning.

The Hotel Amor Arenal is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The private casita is a little sanctuary nestled in the jungle, allowing you to experience the jungle from the safety and luxurious comfort of its well-crafted rooms. You will feel like a cast member in The White Lotus. The best parts: 1. The view of the Arenal volcano is stunning, but clouds often hide it. That's ok because there is plenty to look at with complex patterns of tropical plants crossing a valley and ridges. 2. Wake to the sound of parrots and howler monkeys 3. Sip morning coffee from your own personal deck and hot tub. 3. Take a dip in your choice of three beautiful pools - one with a swim-up bar that is heated and a cool pool with a waterfall. 4. Animal sightings - from snakes, to green-eyed tree frogs, slots, parrots, monkeys. 5. The grounds are meticulously cared for - secluded and safe with stone pathways, an open air restaurant, meditation decks and two hiking trails on property that are the right amount of challenge. 6. Extremely accommodating service and staff. You really don't have to (or will want to) leave the property. They have everything you need from a coffee house and gym on premise to a spa and trails. My only recommendation for the hotel is better weather stripping beneath the doors so that the jungle stays out. We had a couple of gecko and bug visitors that managed their way in. Who could blame them, though!

This was by far, the nicest resort we have ever stayed at! The comfort, cleanliness, and views from the room were top-notch! This is luxury while being surrounded by nature and I cannot overstate how incredibly fun, peaceful, romantic and the list goes on...this stay was. The customer service from each and every individual at the resort was incredible - they truly and genuinely get to know you and interact with you during every passing. The restaurant food was phenomenal and the spa was absolutely breathtaking and like nothing we ever experienced before. You need this experience in your life, trust me. My boyfriend and I loved everything about the property! There are golf carts to take you everywhere around the property at anytime and umbrellas available on every corner in case of rain. The food and service was amazing each time. We had the same waitress our whole entire stay(Cindy) who was super sweet and patient with us! Cindy is amazing. We are so happy we met her. Every other staff member we interacted with was awesome as well and very helpful. This property was very romantic and intimate. It also had everything we needed. THANK YOU AMOR ARENAL!

We stayed in 4 different places in Costa Rica. Amor Arenal was the BEST place by far! If we come back, this is the only place we will stay. We have never stayed at a place where customer service was at the level of this hotel. From the check in process where you relax in the reception area on comfortable couches with drinks and snacks, with a personalized orientation of the property, to the golf cart ride to your personal casita with the "wow" factor as the door is opened for you. The accommodations were exceptional, private, very quiet, gorgeous, exposed wood, very tasteful touches, spacious, clean, fully stocked complimentary mini bar, home made chocolates to enjoy, jacuzzi spa on the patio with views of the rain forest and Arenal volcano, comfortable beds, netflix, wonderful bath products. The restaurant was exceptional, food excellent including the "order off the menu" complimentary HUGE breakfast with views of the volcano. We also did the tasting menu at the hotel's Costa Rican restaurant which was so fun and delicious. We did the complimentary guided hike around the rain forest hotel grounds which was very interesting. A special shout out to special hotel employees we met: Enrique, restaurant manager, Laura, reception, Raquel, customer service, Raquel, restaurant hostess, Oscar and Wilson, golf cart drivers / bellhops, Benny, hike tour guide. My wife and I went for our honeymoon and the resort delivered far above and beyond our expectations. The casita was beautiful, clean, and private. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. The restaurants, pools, massage, yoga room, and hiking trails were all top notch. They even helped coordinate a few offsite excursions. Would 100% recommend to anyone visiting La Fortuna.

Amor Arenal was incredible. The private pool with the view of the volcano made everything. Oscar was wonderful, he not only was great in helping us get around the resort but spent time showing us a pregnant mom sloth and bringing Berny over to look through his telescope. Such a wonderful way to end our honeymoon, they gave us chocolates, sparkling wine, and flowers as well. The staff and service were great. Would recommend to anything looking to relax, have a beautiful view, delicious food, and a great location for grabbing a taxi into the town of La Fortuna.

We stayed at Amor Arenal for 3 nights and had the most amazing time. The hotel itself is gorgeous, the room was beautiful and the facilities in the room were brilliant. All staff were incredible, from check in to the restaurants. The food at the restaurant was also incredible! We managed to see the volcano from our room and the restaurant, so beautiful. It isn’t walking distance to anything but that didn’t matter for us. The yoga & meditation platform was under construction while we were there unfortunately but other than that, it was faultless!

This place is absolutely beautiful, from the volcano being right in the back yard to monkeys swinging through in the morning. Service was amazing, there was nothing the staff wasn't willing to do to make the stay there the best ever. This place and the people exceeded my expectations. I will be returning soon.

The cottages are very very beautiful, spacious, private and with a fantastic view on the vulcano. The kitchen is good, especially the 6 course gastronomic menu. The ‘easy’ trail was beautiful and just enough excercise for our group.

Property is unmatched! The customer service, the rooms, the grounds, everything was perfect. It is close to downtown area but still get that secluded feel. It’s definitely a hotel to enjoy your company as there is not much to do unless you leave the hotel but definitely a good spot for one or two nights.

Amor Arenal was incredible. The private pool with the view of the volcano made everything. Oscar was wonderful, he not only was great in helping us get around the resort but spent time showing us a pregnant mom sloth and bringing Berny over to look through his telescope. Such a wonderful way to end our honeymoon, they gave us chocolates, sparkling wine, and flowers as well. The staff and service were great. Would recommend to anything looking to relax, have a beautiful view, delicious food, and a great location for grabbing a taxi into the town of La Fortuna.

The Spa was a disaster for me, the Lady that massaged me was brutal and would not let off the pressure either. I was in tears after it, I hope this is a one off incident. They did not charge me for it because my husband mentioned it to them which was nice, but nothing further was done. The drinks were good but way too expensive, this led us not to use the restaurant because of all the extra charges they put on top of the price mentioned. The staff was kind and helpful, the premises was beautiful but be ready to hike, very hilly, this was fine for us but may be a problem for other.

The Hotel Amor Arenal is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The private casita is a little sanctuary nestled in the jungle, allowing you to experience the jungle from the safety and luxurious comfort of its well-crafted rooms. You will feel like a cast member in The White Lotus. The best parts: 1. The view of the Arenal volcano is stunning, but clouds often hide it. That's ok because there is plenty to look at with complex patterns of tropical plants crossing a valley and ridges. 2. Wake to the sound of parrots and howler monkeys 3. Sip morning coffee from your own personal deck and hot tub. 3. Take a dip in your choice of three beautiful pools - one with a swim-up bar that is heated and a cool pool with a waterfall. 4. Animal sightings - from snakes, to green-eyed tree frogs, slots, parrots, monkeys. 5. The grounds are meticulously cared for - secluded and safe with stone pathways, an open air restaurant, meditation decks and two hiking trails on property that are the right amount of challenge. 6. Extremely accommodating service and staff. You really don't have to (or will want to) leave the property. They have everything you need from a coffee house and gym on premise to a spa and trails. My only recommendation for the hotel is better weather stripping beneath the doors so that the jungle stays out. We had a couple of gecko and bug visitors that managed their way in. Who could blame them, though!

The place was absolutely beautiful. The casita was beautiful, extremely clean and comfortable, and the bed was very comfortable. We absolutely loved everything about the hotel and the staff service was superb. The only thing we did not like so much was the food for lunch and dinner. Everything else was phenomenal. If the hotel could provide a breakfast buffet and a more aunthentic menu, that would make it so much better. The personal jacuzzi in the room and the volcano views were amazing! The staff super friendly and accommodating.

Amor Arenal absolutely took my breath away. I’d put it right up there with Nayara Springs—just on a smaller, more intimate scale. The private villas are pure luxury, with stunning wooden architecture that blends beautifully with the natural surroundings. Everything is thoughtfully designed for comfort: powerful AC, a dehumidifier, excellent water pressure, and perfectly hot showers. The mini fridge is a dream—stocked daily with complimentary sangria (honestly, some of the best I’ve ever had), beer, and a selection of nonalcoholic drinks. Despite the villas being side by side, the layout gives you complete privacy. You never feel like you’re sharing space; it’s your own personal sanctuary. The food was another highlight. I couldn’t get enough of the fresh fruit juices and local fruit each morning. The beef dishes were fantastic—especially the traditional beef, beans, and rice plate, and the lomo saltado, which was packed with flavor. One of my favorite features of the property was the private trails. We loved exploring them and spotting wildlife right from our own hot spring! Amor Arenal far surpasses any place I’ve ever stayed on vacation. It was overall a MAGICAL experience if I could give it one word. Every single detail of the resort is made to maximize your experience. The casita was stunningly beautiful, private and I felt like royalty being there. The staff all are genuinely kind and go above and beyond to make sure you get everything you want or need. The breakfast was huge and fabulous. The dinner menu at the main restaurant was the only thing I was disappointed with. The cheapest dinners are $25-35 which I don’t mind paying but the dinners we got were bland and very average in my opinion. I understand that most resorts try to cater to the general populations taste. The best meals we had in CR were the ones in local restaurants on the side of the roads when traveling town to town. All and all Amor Arenal I very highly recommend.

Truly amazing property. It’s so nice that it is easy to forget you are in a jungle, until it’s night and all the jungle bugs want to try to get into the room - but can’t. Deck hot tub is the place to be with an amazing view. Dining was very good and staff were ultra attentive and accommodating.

Every team member we met was warm and attentive. I honestly cannot think of a better place to visit and stay. Everything here has been thought through all the way to the smallest details. The staff are phenomenal, the grounds are breathtaking, the hospitality is unheard of elsewhere.
