Lancaster Hall Hotel

Very convenient property when the Lancaster Gate tube is operating (which it wasn't). Clean rooms and the great boon of a luggage room where you can store luggage for up to 24 hours. Helpful staff and adequate Continental breakfast. Only fair value for money though.

The current sign has been updated to a more modern look. Bed was very soft,not firm. Lots of snacks to buy in the lobby.

Excellent value for a London hotel. FIve minutes walk to Paddington Station or Hyde Park. Lots of nice restaurants and pubs nearby so the minimal hotel bar and breakfast were no bother. Staff were very friendly. My only complaint was the very late check in and very early check out times (1030 AM) which seem excessive.

Excellent option close to Paddington Station. Quiet, super clean and comfortable.lovely staff. Would not hesitate to stay again! Early checkout at 1030am but big luggage room.

Good location for getting around central London, bar wasn’t open during our stay and you couldn’t get a drink after 11pm, otherwise a very pleasant experience

My room rate did not include breakfast. Pros: -Helpful, attentive, and polite staff. -Clean premises. -Spacious Reception Desk and a Lobby with plentiful seating and a modern decor. -Free WiFi throughout hotel, password on keycard folder. -We arrived late-morning and were allowed to leave our suitcases in the Luggage Room. Luggage can be left up to 24 hours. -Two fast lifts to all floors. -Room 315, twin single beds. Keycard entry. Small open cupboard with limited hanging space, iron & ironing board, hairdryer. Electronic safe (free), fridge (complimentary 2x Strathmore 330ml water & 1x semi-skimmed 97ml cows milk), tea/coffee, kettle, Smeg coffee machine & capsules. Wall-mounted Samsung TV (Freeview channels and Chromecast option). Table with upholstered chair. Beds with bedside tables. Bible. Telephone. Mirror. Suitcase stand. Multiple power sockets with USB charger ports. Effective air-con. Views of buildings opposite. Bathroom with bath-shower, toilet, basin. -Breakfast, served in Restaurant - 7:30-9:30am, buffet style breakfast. -Function rooms for hire. Cons: -Room - small size for two people, although it’s London. -Room - lack of storage. -Room - bathroom door doesn’t close. -Room - occasional noise from one-way street below - traffic noise, drunken people at nighttime, children arriving in morning at school opposite. -Checkout 10:30am.

Good value for money, nice staff, ideal location for Hyde Park, public transport and bike rental, fairly quiet location, restaurants nearby. Superior twin room is spacious enough and bright, air conditioning and windows can open, clean, 2 lifts in the hotel. (Continental) breakfast and room service available, but we did not use. Cold drinks and little snacks can be bought at reception for a fair price. Hotel has a luggage room, but our room was available on early arrival which was very, very nice. Next trip to London we will stay here again!

Clean and comfortable hotel. 5min walk from Paddington Station. Good restaurants nearby. Close to Hyde Park. Would stay again and highly recommend. There is a luggage room to store bags etc as there was no early check in. There is a bar downstairs in the foyer which was comfortable as well

Location was great, close to Paddington station for quick access ti Heathrow airport and tube system. Also close to Lancaster gate station for another good option to the tube. Lots of good eating options with a block or two. Hotel was very clean and staff friendly and helpful. For 8 pounds the breakfast was great. No hot food, but lots of meats, cheese, croissants, breads, jams, cereal, hard boiled eggs, juices, coffee (latte), and such. At first I thought the rooms were small, but after staying for 3 nights it worked out well. It was very clean and functional. Two elevators were quick and always available. Would stay here again.

I got bug bites on my back and arms. Too bad!!!

Stayed at this hotel a few times now.Although l think the standard of room cleanliness is not at its best.Had a three night stay and bathroom was not cleaned properly.Staiins in sink and on taps plus in bath tub we’re still there on my return to room later in the day.Come on Lancaster Hall your standards are dropping.

The hotel was nice and clean, good location..short walk to Paddington station, but the room was hot; you can't open windows..air-conditioning was too weak to cool it. I was on 4th floor. Sink in bathroom has 2 taps cold and hot.. not easy to wash...

Excellent stay. Room was neat and clean. A bit small, but average size or more for London. Good breakfast buffet, good internet, quiet, with many nearby cafe and restaurant choices. Walkable from Paddington Station.

One of my pillow cases had something that appeared to be blood on it, and my sheets had black marks on them. Also my room was very noisy, and there was a problem with the toilet. I have stayed here before and had no issues, but this stay was sub par.

Good hote, but a wee bit overpriced. Only real problem I saw was a bit of black mold in the tub area. Being this is SO EASY to rectify, I quess they just could not be bothered

Great location. Nice staff. Clean. Water would fluctuate between hot and cold when showering and bathroom door didn't really shut. Very noisy overnight in streets and some guests on the hall through the wee hours of the morning.

Good basic hotel, no A/C but otherwise comfy and silent.

Hotel was in a great location! I would definitely stay here again. However be aware that there is no AC which can be problematic in the hot summer months as the windows do not open much.

Good stay except the hot water would suddenly stop and turn cold -

Loud noise from blumbing, sounded like sirens at 2 AM. It happened when the guest upstairs was taking a shower. It was very disturbing.

Our TV did not pick up but a few channels, and when someone came to "fix" it, well, it wasn't fixed. We should have been offered another room. Really should have a couple of hot food breakfast options, and some variety of fruit.

The room was functional- nothing fancy. It did not include soap in the bathroom. :( While centrally located, the room was very loud at night as it is on such a busy street.

I guess all hotels in london are like this but rooms were tight. I booked a more spacious room and it was still small. Nice place though

The location was very convenient and the staff was great. It was quite warm while we stayed and there was no a/c. The room fan didn’t really do it, especially with the heavy comforters on the bed.

Very good location and the hotel was nice. However the mattress was very poor. Sagging and needed to be changed. Uncomfortable to sleep on

I didn’t experience the staff as kind or helpful. For example, there is a luggage storage, but you have to go there yourself, so unattended, and then there is a sign on the door that the hotel can’t take any responsibility. If they would escort you, nothing could go wrong. An other example, when passing the desk, no one greeted. And at check out there’s no one asking you how your stay was. In the room is a note to take the environment into consideration when you make a choice to request for clean towels. We asked for clean towels, due to circumstances, and got a handwritten note that they changed towels for now but wouldn’t do that for the upcoming 3 to 4 days. I just thought it was all a bit unfriendly and i would not recommend this hotel!

I typically do not write reviews but I think the experience I endured at this hotel merits a review. I was okay with the condition of the property given the rather reasonable price I was paying to stay at a hotel in this area. However, where I was most disappointed was the service level. I had asked to switch a room in the evening as I had noticed some odd sound inside my room whenever I switched off the lights. The front desk person kept saying that there is nothing wrong with the room and indicated that I was "crazy" to hear any sound. What\'s more appalling is that I ended up having to invite him upstairs to the room so I can prove that there is indeed weird sound when the lights are turned off. While in the room, he heard the noise and admitted himself that he heard it but when we went back down to the lobby, he changed his position that he didn\'t hear anything. After an intense spat, he grudgingly gave me another room to stay until early morning. This whole ordeal took two hours late in the evening, which could have been easily avoided had he looked for a solution as opposed to simply claiming that I was crazy. Never have I ever been treated like this by a hotel employee and I think it\'s important to note my experience here so people can make an informed decision.

I had a great stay in the hotel, and was very happy with the staff. I didn’t use the breakfast offer as I found a very nice Italian place just across the street from the hotel. Reception was very helpful, specifically Sebastian.

Fab hotel close to Paddington station and Hyde park, check in quick and friendly and accommodating as we were a little early. Didn’t use any facilities such as bar or lounge as an overnight trip attending BST Hyde park so just a stopover. However when we headed back to the hotel the welcomes were warm and friendly from all staff, twin room a good size for central London, it was quite humid in London but the fan in the room did the job. Beds comfy and nice and quiet area, bathroom a decent size but could do with updating. Would definitely book and stay again when next in central London.

There are many shops, pubs and places to eat within walking distance. It felt very safe to walk around even late at night. The hotel was clean, the staff was nice and helpful. Stayed in a twin room with 2 twin beds. It was very small and cramped but I traveled with my daughter and wanted the two beds. We were there only to sleep, shower, etc., so it did not bother us that much and the room was clean. Last morning we had breakfast at the hotel, which was a nice continental breakfast as expected. Overall, it was a good place to stay and I would stay again if I go back to London.

Great area to stay in very accessible to multiple tube stations, check in was quick and efficient. It was good to have a suitcase storage area after my checkout since I had a later flight. Would stay here again!

Staff was great. Super friendly. Had a late flight and they held our luggage all day for us at no extra charge. Rooms were small but good. Nice location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lancaster Hall Hotel late June (2025)! We were warmly greeted upon our arrival and the entire staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Nice room, comfortable bed and the breakfast was excellent with a nice variety to choose from. It was a comfortable walk (10 minutes with 2 large luggage) from Paddington Station. We arrived from Heathrow on the Elizabeth Line. We look forward to returning!

This hotel is in a great location, with easy access to Hyde Park, Paddington, and most sites in London. a few miles and you are in Notting Hill, Soho or Covent Garden. It is clean, spacious and has 24 hrs. doorperson, for extra security. The room was ok, nothing fancy, but had a fridge, tea and coffee and its own AC for customized comfort. London hotels are outrageous so within the more inexpensive options this one was a great choice.

The Lancaster Hall hotel was in an excellent location for a London stay. The rooms and bathroom a bit on the small size but clean and tidy with room service every day. The breakfast was continental with a good choice and well organised. The front desk people were exceptionally helpful anytime we needed help, overall a pleasant stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, the location is excellent, close to Lancaster Gate station on the central line. We also enjoyed the close laundrette and restaurants. I would definately stay again.

Hotel was great -quiet and clean. the best thing was also how close it was to the station (paddington) which is great to get around.

Great location and good service. We loved the idea of having this wonderful hotel so close to Hyde Park. We enjoyed walking to different places around there, very safe, and good sidewalks. Lots of interesting eating options close by and the Paddington station is so easy to access. Perfect!

Great location, easy transportation to Heathrow. Breakfast was great. Staff were wonderful.

The accommodations are basic, but the room was a good size. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Good continental breakfast. It was over 70F/21C, and the lack of AC meant sleeping with the windows open. Fortunately the street was quiet. A couple of cafes and restaurants on the same street and nearby. Close to Paddington Station. I would stay again but would be mindful of the forecast.

The hotel was good value for the money. Beds were comfartable and the room was large. You could here the noise from the hallway. Breakfast only had cold options.

Very close to Paddington Station. Superior room and bathroom were compact but comfortable and had everything we needed. We only had a one night stay and only used the hotel to sleep and have breakfast. We were disappointed that there was no cooked items on offer for breakfast.
