We had to stay here on an emergency for the night it wound up being a pretty decent hotel. It’s a little older, but the air conditioning units worked absolutely perfect got the rooms nice and cold. The car was parked right in front. The elevator was very small.

Rooms are basic but very clean with a fridge. The hotel itself is very clean and the floors are washed twice a day. The hotel breakfast is fantastic, fruit, bread and baking, and choice of breakfast menu item. There is a great rooftop pool overlooking the city and ocean. The staff are simply the best from the front counter staff of Amelia and Gilberto to the serving/cooking staff of Mariano, Dulia, Estela, and Feliciana.

This is a family owned property and it shows. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. Literally 3 minutes walking distance from the ferry. Great bakery attached to the hotel. The smell is amazing. Terrific breakfast. Wonderful roof top pool.

If you are staying in a budget this hotel would be a good choice. Close to the ferry terminal and next to the Cozumel plaza the location is great. Also staff are friendly. The best part about this hotel is their breakfast which was really nice. They had sit down breakfast everyday of tea/coffee/juice, fresh fruits, bread basket and a choice of eggs, pancakes, french toast, chillaquiles etc that you can choose and they make it to order. There is a nice bakery adjacent to the property with fresh bakes every day. The roof top is also nice with great views of the ferrys and cruises docked at Cozumel. However the property is pretty dated and needs major upgrades. The elevator is old and slow almost feels like it might stop working at any time. Rooms are dark with low lighting. A small window with no views. Beds are not super comfortable. Also there is a very loud karaoke bar right opposite to the hotel that was playing loud music and drunk singing till 3AM. So not recommended for families with children or who need peace and quiet to sleep.

The hotel is nice and walkable but parking is very limited. They only have parking for 6 cars and if you don’t get parking with them , then you have to park in the street , and hope you find parking out there.

The location was extremely convenient. There were many restaurants within an easy walking distance. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. And the bathroom was nice and the towels were generous. There was also a a lovely & delicious breakfast included. I would highly recommend Hotel Plaza Cozumel and will return.

Great location downtown near the square and waterfront. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. The front desk people helped us with all our questions and needs. GREAT free breakfast with fresh fruit and bread and made to order hot food. A bakery is 10 steps next door and we smelled wonderful fresh bread all the time!

This is my favorite hotel for staying downtown. Great sit down breakfast and a clean and cold pool on the roof. Close to everything. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Cant beat it for the price!

Simple clean comfortable rooms; easy walk from the ferry, restaurants, and shops; free breakfast; there’s a bakery next door and a drug store on the corner. Taxi stand down the block. Bar soap and small shampoo bottles provided but no conditioner. The windows have regular curtains not blackout, so if city lights bother you bring an eye mask to sleep. Go watch the sunset from the great bar / restaurant down the block called Aqui + Ahora. Or you can watch the sunset from the rooftop pool at this hotel. The pool is fantastic - clean and well-maintained with beautiful views and lots of seating. Overall very happy with this hotel.

This property has a decent location downtown, but is on a one way street. The bathroom was recently remodeled and was very nice...beds are poor, pillows like a bag of cement. Although the rooms from the outside look amazing, it was quite hot since the maid turned off the A/C, while gone and came back to a blistering hot room; Windows do NOT open for any type of airflow. Security wise...doors have chinsy locks for keys and old school chain on door locks and are subpar. Room has no safe for valuables and doors could easily be kicked in or down or lockpicked. Breakfast was great and service was average.

A lot of bang for your buck. Yes it’s dated, but everything is very clean and great working order. The air conditioning was cold as I like it. The bed was very comfortable. The room and linens smelled very clean, not of bleach. The pillows could’ve been better. The room was very clean and minimal and spacious. The menu for the free breakfast is excellent. I was with a group of people and we had many different things each morning and everything was wonderful. The staff is excellent.

The front desk staff is rude and unwelcoming. They don't greet you not coming not going, not even at check in. They act like you are a burden. The only interaction i had with them was at check in and check out. Extremely unfriendly . The rest of the staff is very sweet , they tell you good morning good evening etc. I don't need them to kiss my behind but a simple Good morning would be nice. I asked for a taxi and the reply was " turn right go to the end of the block and turn left. " really??? Call a taxi! I won't be back

The hotel is nice, very well located. The only down side is the lady from the front desk. Not friendly at all, we understand she is going her job, but not the right actitud to treat customers.

From start to finish, a fabulous stay. As a solo traveler, I always felt safe. The front desk team was very helpful as well. Breakfast was plentiful and the service was efficient. I was sad to check out as I felt like family. They even arranged to have my laundry done on the last day for a very fair price.

The street is under construction and the hotel isn’t alerting their guests. There is NO parking and no way to park close. Their profile says free parking. We couldn’t use our reservation, and Hotel Plaza Cozumel is not refunding my money.

Centrally located. Very clean. Cold AC. Great hot breakfast. Extremely attentive staff. This is my second time in the last year at this hotel, and the hotel was perfect for me just like the first time. Our friend Group had four rooms booked, and everybody is as satisfied as me.

The location was extremely convenient. There were many restaurants within an easy walking distance. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The beds were comfortable. And the bathroom was nice and the towels were generous. There was also a a lovely & delicious breakfast included. I would highly recommend Hotel Plaza Cozumel and will return.

The location was perfect. Walking distance from the ferry terminal and a couple of rent car companies. The staff were kind and the breakfast and rooftop pool were very nice. The night club in front of the hotel was a little noisy, but not a serious problem.

This is a family owned property and it shows. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. Literally 3 minutes walking distance from the ferry. Great bakery attached to the hotel. The smell is amazing. Terrific breakfast. Wonderful roof top pool.

Rooms are basic but very clean with a fridge. The hotel itself is very clean and the floors are washed twice a day. The hotel breakfast is fantastic, fruit, bread and baking, and choice of breakfast menu item. There is a great rooftop pool overlooking the city and ocean. The staff are simply the best from the front counter staff of Amelia and Gilberto to the serving/cooking staff of Mariano, Dulia, Estela, and Feliciana.

Great location downtown near the square and waterfront. The bed and pillow were very comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. The front desk people helped us with all our questions and needs. GREAT free breakfast with fresh fruit and bread and made to order hot food. A bakery is 10 steps next door and we smelled wonderful fresh bread all the time!
