Amazing staff at this location, but disappointed in the food - restaurants were closed & I was unable to book the steakhouse, so had to eat same place multiple nights in a row. I went to visit a friend at another Riu and was denied entry, which left me with a bad taste towards the hotel brand, considering I was also a Riu guest (I was not trying to eat or drink at other property, simply visit my friend). Will be my first & last time staying with Riu.

Upon arrival, we weren't given any directions on where things are. The staff at check in was not friendly or helpful. The family suite was nice and spacious. The food was not good. The pools were very crowded.

Terrible experience. The buffet food was very boring and the same every day. They did NOT honor the complementary transfer from hotel to airport even though it was part of my reservation. Staff were very unhelpful and careless. It took us about 45 minutes to check in when we arrived because the girl who was helping us was training and kept going and asking somebody else. There was absolutely no room service. Very disappointing for a RIU hotel brand
