Fantastic staff, restaurant and location. A perfect hotel to visit Southampton or spend a night or two before a cruise. The restaurant on sight is also excellent. Other restaurants are in walking distance as well as shopping and museums.

Enjoyed our pre-cruise stay at this property. The location is great and the staff was incredible. The fish and chips in the dining room was good also. We only experienced one hiccup-one of our suitcases was missing from the storage area when we went to collect it after breakfast. The staff and manager worked diligently to find it and after 45 minutes of worry, the team found it in a secondary storage area.

Jakob at check-in was great. He not only got us checked in with a smile, but he took care of booking our taxi to the cruise terminal and breakfast for the next morning, which was delicious. It was a short but lovely stay.

Check in staff was great but the front desk for my wake up call failed. I asked for two calls, one 15 minutes after the first and neither came. This caused me to wake up later than the rest of my group and breakfast was rushed. Checking out I mentioned this and the manager checked and saw the request and apologized. She offered me points that were good for a 1 night stay supposedly but I didn't receive them. I used the IHG website chat and was told I would receive a callback, never happened.
