Unfortunately there was no breakfast provided and the elevator was not working. A basic hotel and therefore expensive stay.

Need to advertise no parking and where the nearest parking lot is

It was great, the lift was being replaced, so that was inconvenient, but safety first! They let us know before hand so all was good!

Bed was very comfortable. Room Was a great size. No place to put any toiletries as no room around sink. No luggage holder so had to put suitcase on the floor. Good location but street noise and noise from bar across the street was not great. Had to lift suitcases up and down stairs on the same floor—another thing to tackle.

The property is very walkable to all major landmarks and is very convenient. We would have rated the property higher if we had been informed about the renovation. We would stay again

This property actually has two buildings. The staff was super friendly and helped us take our suitcases from registration to the second building where our rooms were located. Though there were some visible signs of previous damage like the carpet being warped and pulling up from the floor, overall the room was clean and comfortable. The biggest annoyance with this hotel was accessibility; in order to get into the lobby for registration you had to go up steps and on the floor where we stayed you had to go up two steps after getting out of the elevator.

Location is wonderful. Close to shopping, restaurants, tourist attractions, and right by an Airlink stop. Staff were friendly. Elevator was down for the time we were there, but that was not a signicant problem, just a minor inconvenience.

My orginal booking was for other hotel or they have changed names i have booked breakfast. The new hotel does not do breaks 😡

Excellent location, staff were all very friendly. Hotel is very run down. Bathroom in our room definitely needed replacing which made it look dirty. The location makes up for it being a bit run down as it is about a 20 minute walk to all the sites

The suits are lovely but the rooms in the hotel could do with a deep clean and a way to avoid mould growing around the window frame due to condensation.

Would not, could not recommend. Surprised by the good reviews. Carpet was full of stains and loose debris, so clearly hasn't been vacuumed between bookings. Pillowcase had a stain on it, there was a blond hair on the comforter (I have dark hair). Sheets did not smell fresh or clean, didn't feel comfortable sleeping between the sheets so I slept on top of comforter with a towel over the pillow. Washroom smelled like urine, I would rather use public toilet over room bathroom. The whole room smelled off-putting. Although we chose this hotel based on location, it was very noisy and without air conditioning, you had to keep the window open. Piano bar below open until 3am and noisy high-traffic street, good luck sleeping. Wifi was almost non-existent. Barely 2 bars at best, could not connect video or even voice call over wifi. Not worth $500CAD/night, even if peak season.

The hotel staff were very friendly and check-in/out was easy. The room we were given had a stale smell & there was plenty of mold in the bathroom. Unfortunately, a mouse also found its way into our room on the first night by coming under the door. We were promptly moved to another room which was a nicer, cleaner version of the room we paid for. Overall, we only needed two nights but otherwise we would have seriously considered moving hotels.

The hotel was extremely worn down, there was blood under the sheet, and they didn’t want to change it at first. It was extremely dirty, and we had to ask them to vacuum as there was dirt all over the floor. It didn’t look at all like the pictures, we were promised a king-size bed, but it wasn’t—it was a 1.40m bed. Absolutely the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. The staff were very nice, and the location was good, but the hotel need a renovation.

The best thing about this hotel was definetly the location - walking distance to all atractions, restaurants and all the Edimburgh has to offer. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. The rooms need desperately to be updated along with a deepcleaning of carpets and the bathroom. There was smell of mold in the room and in the hallways the entire 3rd floor smelled bad as well. Also the bathtub drain was very bad and took way too long to get the water down. Finally the elevator wasn't working.

When we got to our room we had an unflushed toilet and a dirty towel on the floor. We had a broken tv as well and didnt get help for it until the third time we asked staff.

The room was very small. No air conditioning, but provided a fan. Very noisy outside having to have window open. Shower super small. Tv didn't work at all. Not smart tv so couldn't use any apps as a back up. WiFi was not consistent/reliable. Our room didn't get cleaned one of the days. We were walking out as cleaning crew was walking in. We told them we were leaving for the day and please clean the room.

It was convenient for a one-night stay before leaving for a tour. The room was pretty comfortable and quiet, it had air conditioning, which was good.

Had a fantastic stay, rooms were clean and recently refurbished. Very conveniently situated close to transport and restaurants. We had 3 adults in our group so it was great to be able to get a studio with our own kitchenette. Staff were extremely helpful, providing bag storage and recommendations for dining and attractions. The only negative was the noise from a nearby nightclub, some of us needed earplugs in order to sleep. We couldnt hear any traffic noise, only music.

Great location that was walkable to the Royal Mile and transit. Staff was very friendly as well. Our room could use an update, it was looking a little tired and we found the beds to be very uncomfortable. The bathroom was in desperate need of a remodel. The half wall/door meant to contain the water in the shower would not seal properly which meant water would go all over the floor in the bathroom every time someone took a shower. To make it usable, we had to put extra towels on the floor to soak up the water.

The room was tiny. There was no room to move, store the luggage. The bathroom has no place to put on the toiletries. The design of the room is horrible. The only benefit was it was very close to the main attractions.

Room was not a King Suite as advertised/sold. Doubled checked this with hotel prior to arrival & was told room would have a king sized bed but it didn’t. Room 130 also needs some attention in the bathroom as very obvious water damage in bathroom ceiling with lots of paint coming off the ceiling. Not what I would expect for the price being charged for the room. Otherwise comfortable & very convenient location with easy check-in process.

The room was compact, but clean. The bed was comfortable but the pillows a bit too firm. Where our room was located it was quiet. Two down sides for us, the room was stiflingly hot, there was a window, but not one you could open, and there was no air conditioning, We asked at reception if they could turn the air con on, to be told there was none, but they could provide a small fan, which never materialised. Looking on the map, it's halfway between Waverly and Haymarket stations, about 10 mins either way, one tip, if coming from Glasgow, going back you're better going to Waverly station, better frequency and choice of trains.

Great location, very small room even by European standands. The bathroom was so small it felt unsafe. Our air conditioner dripped water the entire night soaking the carpet. Whe. I told an attendant twice, they did nothing.

The staff was so helpful. They not only stored our luggage when we arrived early but they brought our luggage to our room. They also directed us to many different places to sightsee. Clean rooms. Quiet for a good night's rest. Close to many things to do. This is a win-win.

We are a family of 4 traveling for 2 weeks through 4 countries. So each time we went to a new accommodation, we were exhausted. After checking in, we went to our room where staff had already prepared the pull-out sofa bed and hideaway bed for our 2 kids. It was so lovely for them to take care of this for us! We could just relax and enjoy it! Room was so pretty with super tall ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. Very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay at cityroomz while we attended a wedding. The staff were extremely friendly and arranged for us to get checked in earlier than the original check in time which was much appreciated. The room was very comfortable, especially the bed. The room had everything we needed and I was very glad the lift was working to get all our things and our son in his buggy up to our room. Zero faults and would thoroughly recommend.

The staff and location are the best parts of the property. We stayed for 4 nights and every time we asked for directions or recommendations, each person was very well versed or at least, there was someone there who could help with what to do or where to go. Location wise, it's very central. You are close to a few open-late spots for bar food or neighborhood eats (everything closes fairly early 9 pm / 10 pm). You are a short walk to the Gardens and about 15 to 20 minutes to the Castle and the Hop on Hop off Bus which is great for seeing a little bit of everything. We had to request towels from housekeeping and they don't really clean, more just make your bed. The elevator cuts out sometimes, but the stairs aren't too bad unless you have very heavy luggage. If you're renting a car, parking is about a 10 minute walk down - and costs us about 45 euro for the 4 days. I think anywhere in Europe you have to be mindful of luggage because you'll be lugging your bags. We were right by the elevator with a window next to a casino but in my opinion, we never really heard too much of our neighbors or the outside goings-on. I would stay here again, it was exactly what we needed - safe and clean, beds were very comfortable after long days of sight seeing. Well done to their friendly and amazing staff!

The rooms were smaller than expected, but they were clean, comfortable, and centrally located. The staff was greater than exceptional. They were accommodating to two weary travelers, and more than helpful in getting transfers and tickets. A very special shoutout to Nina!

After checked out, I headed to the airport to rent a car and continue my trip, once in the airport I realized that I forgot my wallet inside the safe back at the hotel, I called them to let them know, and Surprise was that Dani who works there told not to worry that she will bring it to me at the airport. About 30 minutes later she was there with my stuff. This is an extra mile done for a customer. Not very often you see this. Thank you Dani a very grateful customer. Gus

The staff were truly excellent. Had a small baby with us and they kindly moved us to a quieter room without us asking and set up a cot for us. Couldn't ask for better service

The room was comfortable. The location was excellent. Walking distance to everything. Airport shuttle stop just a few streps from the door. The Faun and Feather Pub just up the road was excellent! Only complain would be the noise from a close by late night bar.

When I stayed here, it was Cityroomz, now it is Four Points Flex by Sheraton. The location at one end of Princes Street is perfect for your stay, but access by car is difficult. We dropped of our bags around the corner on Rutland St and checked in, then parked the car 1/2 mile away at the NCP Castle Terrace car park. During your stay, the castle, Princes Street and the gardens are within walking distance and if you want to go further afield, there is a taxi stand right around the corner in front of the Caledonian hotel. We would also ask our Uber drivers to drop us off at the Caledonian.

Friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic location and walkable to all attractions or get on a bus or tram stop right outside. You are right in town so expect city noises, lighting and smells.

Location is the hotel's main asset: just at the end of Princes Street, with easy access to business and tourism locations. The desk team are friendly and polite; the bed linen and towels are clean and comfortable; and the rooms have windows - you don't need to check whether you're booking a cupboard or not! The public spaces and rooms are compact and presentable but not plush. For me, it loses the 5th star because the pricing seems a little high for the presentation; if you value location more highly, you might add the 5th star in.

A perfect location for Fringe-goers (and by extension everyone wanting to explore old Edinburgh. A tidy, quiet, very friendly hotel with great transit options, including being close to the tram, which makes it handy for anyone flying in, or catching a train into Edinburgh.

I have only good things to say about this hotel. Check in was easy. The airport shuttle bus dropped us off right across the street from the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side, but we didn't spend much time there except for sleeping and showering. Tourist attractions are all within walking distance. There was even a farmer's market minutes away. Would recommend.

This hotel is tucked away in the west end, walking distance to almost everything, many restaurants to choose from and the airport bus stops right in front of the hotel. They do not have onsite laundry but the staff were very helpful in locating a local laundromat. They also no longer offer breakfast, but lots of good choices close by. For the price and the location, this hotel met all our needs

The great parts : The hotel is in a great location! Coffee and grocery are right across the street, great pubs and super walkable, and transportation, tram, are directly outside. The staff was super friendly and helpful of any questions or recommendations. If you're looking for a spot to basicslly rest, it's a great choice. Cons : it's super basic. No fridge, no lobby/restaurant/bar, they do provide coffee kettle. The walls are thin so definitely hear your neighbors. The showers, in the double room, are TINY! All in all, I did enjoy my stay. It provided what I needed. I recommend Cityroomz, again for a place to rest in between all the things!

The staff were very helpful. Lots of great restaurants nearby. It can be a bit noisy with the streetcars going by.

Great location, just a bit confusing as the name of the hotel changed to Four Points Flex by Sheraton, our Uber Driver got confused but thankfully I showed him the photo I saw in Google maps so we found it eventually. Our room was spacious enough for us, beds are a bit hard but we managed. The shower seemed a bit dodgy but we persevered, just be alert when there's be a burst of hot water, then cold water on occasion but it gets warm again in a few seconds. Our coffee and tea supplies were refilled the next day and towels changed. Only negative is no fridge but it's fine, we saved money by not buying too much though I still had some leftover food I couldn't finish after a day of shopping. Dining options are nearby too just a few steps even from our hotel - there are Greens, for quick and cheap goodies, sandwiches, drinks, baguettes ( a better alternative to McDonald's) the pub next door, etc..Thanks for a great stay guys!

Great modern room. Very clean. Close to lots of food and amenities. Easy walk to royal mile. Lots of transportation right outside including bus and teams to airport.
