My fiancé and I stayed for 14 days. Some things made me sad. First, after 4 days, I asked for the room to be cleaned, and then they turned the sheets inside out. After another 4 days, I asked again for clean sheets, but they didn't put them back in. I didn't ask, but I asked for clean towels myself and found them very dirty. The pool was dirty, the chairs were broken. The people who work there were very polite.

The renovated inside of the motel is decent, but the outside still needs a lot of work in the fact that they charge you to park at a motel that’s being renovated is ridiculous. It’s not close to the events. You have to walk four blocks down the street just to cross over to the beach. The chairs at the pool are disgusting. Bad low hanging wires in the under garage part in electrical cords running from the building next-door over to this building. The outside tiki bar was not open. The inside bar was not open. Most of the staff does not speak English. Also, the water pressure is terrible and they should’ve redone the bathrooms.

This hotel is being renovated and the rooms are very clean but not sure how long it will hold-up. The pool area is right on the street and not very comfortable. A reasonable priced hotel if you are looking for a convenient place to stay with no frills. Beach access is 1/2 mile away. Parking is pricey for a hotel away from downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Our room was spacious, however the floor was dirty. The lounge chairs at the pool were cracked and broken. The patio and waterfall around the pool were also in disrepair. We had to ask several times for a bucket of ice and to have our room cleaned. The phone in the room was not plugged into the wall. When checking in we were NOT met with a smile or even eye contact. Many of the front desk people were less than friendly. It was not completely clear from the website that the hotel was undergoing renovations and that there was a fairly long walk to the public beach access.

The floor was swept but when you walked on the floor before and after bathing your feet would be black with dirt just after walking a few times back and forth. When I went down to ask them to clean, I noticed that the cleaning cart only a few doors down had a vacuum cleaner and no mop, Therefore, these rooms, including the bathroom are never mopped. Beware of dried urine from previous guest around the toilet and shower entry. Sorry but if you have tile and in this case simulated tile, you have to mop with disinfectant.

This property is nowhere near the beach. They say they have airport shuttle service, but you have to call and arrange it beforehand and pay for it. The property is appears to be under construction, based on the fact that when I opened the blinds in our room, a sea can was blocking any view there might’ve been. The office building is dank and dated, and I hesitated to sit and wait for our room to be ready The gate was broken on the entrance to our room. There was not a single chair to sit outside on the gated area. There was no seal around the air conditioner, and I could put my hand between the wall in the unit, which would explain why there were bugs in the room. There was a second exterior door in the room that was locked from the outside, and for some reason had a peep hole to look into our room. I covered it right away, but it was concerning to me that it could be opened from the outside at any given time because there’s nothing on the interior side to prevent it from opening.

The floor is dirty when you walk on it and you get stuck. Bed linen with stains. The bathroom is very small, no exhaust fan, toilet paper holder was broken. The room is very humid. I don't recommend staying there!!!!

We were expecting a room with a balcony which was advertised and when we arrived we were informed the only rooms with double beds are in the older motel 2-story building. Seems a bit deceiving.

The AC unit in our room sounded like a big diesel pusher starting every 20min. You are on a main road with bad traffic noise. The beds are like hammocks and some people do like that but we prefer a bed with some support. We were suppose to have a king bed but they moved us to a room with 2 doubles. Lots of recent upgrades but the place does need a lot more upgrades.

Location was convenient and safe, room was clean and nicely renovated however the walls are paper thin. I could hear everything going on in the rooms next to me and above me as well as street noise, so I’d recommend a noise machine or ear plugs if you plan to stay here. Also not sure if it was just a problem with my room but the water in my shower didn’t get warmer than lukewarm and the handle didn’t even turn all the way to hot

Arrival was confusing as the hotel has been renamed and is undergoing major renovations. Our room was completely updated and very comfortable. As would be expected due to location close to the road, noise from traffic did wake us each morning.

The outside of the building is in less than fair condition. The rooms have had renovations - but the walls are so thin you can hear everything in the next room. We had the unfortunate experience of having the room next to us loudly spending “quality time” in bed with eachother.

The building is VERY OLD! However, once you got inside the renovated rooms, they were nice. Right on a main busy street, so it was noisy. The pool is right next to the street, so we didn’t use it. Not a relaxing environment. At least a 15 min walk to the beach. Longer than advertised.

The room was nice and clean. But the outside area is not especially the parking area. I just don’t understand why I have to pay parking fee. Usually Florida has a lot of spaces that we don’t need to pay. Just saying. The receptionist on duty was not considerate at all. Even if I have my ID and the credit card that I used to purchase handy, he’s still wants my husband to come.

The reception staff was totally uncooperative. The rooms communicate with each other through doors, which was very disturbing. Our neighbors, a group of girls, room 407, had a party all night. Loud music, many visitors, screaming and a strong smell of drugs! The receptionists acted as if it was normal and did not intervene. I recommend you think twice when booking at this Hotel!

The room was decent, however I had an issue with the bed. It was extremely uncomfortable and sunk in. I woke up all night long with a neck and shoulder pain. I let the staff know and they offered me another room for the next night. That bed was no better than the first. I was offered a discount but never received it. I spoke with two acting managers both agreed and said would receive a discount for my experience. However, later come to find out they would not offer me a discount I was never contacted my an actual manager. I requested to speak with the manager several times and still have not heard anything from anyone who’s in charge of that hotel. Very disappointed. I’m not a picky person and dont usually write reviews but I can’t help to feel like I would want others to know about this as they can avoid a terrible nights sleep on uncomfortable beds.

The house keeping never refreshed my room and the people at the front desk have terrible customer service. They put a parking violation on my car after I paid for my parking this place is trash seriously will never stay here again. Plus they take such a high deposit 200 dollars and tell you 7 buisness days before u can even get your money back just a terrible hotel. Will never recommend to anyone I know.

If you know what you’re getting for the price, then this is a fair hotel… It’s been repainted and rebranded, but still shows areas of disrepair and age. Pool was very nice and clean. Good location very close to a CVS and Winn-Dixie as well as restaurants. Parking is very tight and limited, and they do charge an extra unannounced fee for that. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Very narrow hallways and balcony walkways. We paid for early check in between 11 and two and got in our room about 1230. Overall, 3/5 stars. If you’re looking for a more economical hotel, stay in comparison to nearby resorts and don’t set your expectations too high then this is the place for you. Lastly, beach access is about a 15 minute/half mile walk. Public transportation runs right in front of the hotel.

Perfect 10 minute walk to the beach! Easy to get to restaurants, and convenient stores. Felt like a very safe area, our room was so comfortable! Would highly recommend! Also only 15-20 minutes to get to the airboats for the Everglades, and 15 minutes from the airport!

We were not notified of the renovation, so we were surprised when we checked in. I have stayed at your hotel three other times and enjoyed the pool, bar, and restaurant on those trips. I was very much looking forward to that on this trip, so very disappointed those amenities were not available to me. Love the convenience of being able to eat, drink and swim all at the hotel. Had to go other places, so very inconvenient!

Royal Beach Palace is no longer... it is now called "The Garden". Location is good regarding grocery stores, pharmacies and eating options. The room we had was decent, with a coffee maker, fridge and safe. The thing that was annoying is that we were not notified by Expedia or by the hotel that both the lobby and eating area were under construction.

We were not notified that the property is under construction. The restaurant and bar are also under construction, so they're closed! The junk piled up all around the back makes for a crappy view. Definitely not worth the money.
