Very Clean, good variety for food. Beach was hit by hurricane so sand has been pushed inland. Staff generally friendly - always said "HI" but I think it is the expectation. Main pool very big. Golden pool (lazy river type) excellent and more quiet. Silver pool - regular horizontal pool but can only get in by ladder type stair. Don't drink so have no comments on drinks.

Been to many other resorts and this is hands down the best! Pool is amazing and the nightlife is UNMATCHED. Live bands and performances almost every night and DJ on top of that after all in a close and inviting public square. Staff and the entertainment team are top notch and the food is incredible. 5 times visited, many more to go!

This is our favorite resort in Mexico. The staff is so cordial and accommodating. The food is absolutely fantastic. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. If you have not been here, you must add it to your bucket list. Pure relaxation. My only complaint was the spa. They should expand it and add a hydrotherapy area. It's quite small and the treatment rooms are close to what was supposed to be the quiet lounge area. Yet people sitting there were so loud I had trouble relaxing.

We had a good experience at the resort. Beautiful scenery and landscaping. One thing we didn’t like was charging of the cabana on the beach. The restaurants were very accommodating and the bartenders were great! Shout out to all the bartenders at the pool bar, next to the food truck! Amazing service! The housekeeping was exceptional as well. Delighted to have the room cleaned each day, but was impressed with the night shift, turning down our bed, closing the blinds etc.

I like the fact of all the outdoors around and lots of palm trees and lots of birds and some other wildlife and reptile and snakes The only thing I would improve on is the gym Was too small, not enough machines like treadmills and yoga in the weight room made it very difficult to lift weight Need bigger room for weight and different rooms for floor expertise yoga Food was great and service great too At first was difficult to get beers and water in our mini fridge but after I complained once it was taken care of Good resort and great staff

The only thing that is unlikeable is the people reserving chairs that they won't use. Just be an adult and share :). Food choices, beach area, pool area, staff was excellent. Loved the room.

The overall experience was pleasant. Its a beautiful and elegant property. Its quiet and safe. I would possibly stay again after experiencing other hotels for comparison. My concerns: The room is very musty. I thought it was normal being near the water but then I went in 4 other rooms during my stay and they were not smelly at all. I dont know if they have to change the filter. I washed my all clothes when I went home and they still smell like mild dew; even the ones that were not worn. It was just them being in the room. Its disgusting. At check in we clarified that it was a mix of my birthday and our honeymoon. They said they would give us a little treat and there was nothing. Our other couple friend we attended with that checked in after us was also their birthday and anniversary, they put roses and some cute little treats in their room. I asked about the VIP expedia rewards and it seemed like they were not any different than anyone elses stay that booked without expedia. We didnt receive anything special.

Everything is absolutely perfect here! The staff is incredibly courteous and professional! We felt so safe and welcome here! Also the food is absolutely outstanding! They also never run out of any alcohol or food. Everything here is always clean and perfect aswell like the restaurants, bars, stores and washrooms. The decor here is beautiful too! Could not have asked for a better stay here. This place has ruined every other resort for us because now we will only be coming here from now on!

We loved our stay! Some highlights: - The food was great. The amazing buffet for breakfast/lunch and the Mexican restaurant were highlights. - The beach area was beautiful and there were lots of chairs so you didn’t have to fight for a group together. - The entertainment team was a lot of fun. We did a few activities and watched some others and had a great time. Shoutout to all of the music performers and the MC Pedro. - Great shows in the evenings after dinner. We watched traditional dancing, burlesque, and fire dancing. - Housekeeping was amazing and our room was cleaned twice a day. Always new towels and kept tidy. - The property was very large and the staff was great at zipping us around in golf carts for dinner and when it was raining. We would definitely stay again!

Rooms. Shower is terrible, trickles out. Super small spray. Goes hot and cold the entire time you’re in it. Restaurants. Tried all the Themed ones except Mediterranean. The only one that was ok was the French. The problem is they don’t serve the traditional kind of food each one says it is, and just not much flavor. Best one for breakfast is the steak house at the beach. Mar y Tierra. The best one for lunch is buffet. Dinner is again the steak house. Restaurant service was ok. A lot of waiting time, for drinks and or food in all restaurants. Service at the lazy river for drinks and food was better, however the food is just ok. Room service was Basic. Takes around 45 minutes. Pools. If you want a chair get up at 5am to put towels on them because they are gone by 7am. If you want loud activity pool, that’s the main pool. Lazy River was much quieter and laid back. It’s a nice resort, love the adults only. It’s clean and beautiful. Biggest complaint is the food. We have been to several different resorts in the Riviera Maya. 8 I can think of. So I am comparing from our favorites. For the same price I can go to a better resort, I won’t name any because this is just about Valentín Imperial.

Air conditioner sucks,Plus, they limit how low it can go be prepared to sweat at night other than that it was ok. Food was ok nothing to write home about, seriously. First night steak was 60% all fat, I wish I took picture. People were awesome. If you like eating while you sweat you’ll enjoy this place. Once again the staff was amazing.

Stayed on the resort in March 2025 with my wife, and another couple of friends. Overall we had great time, and everyone was happy with the resort. Large property with access to the sandy beach and swimming in the sea. Pool areas with bars and entertainment were excellent. Good food, some restaurants require reservations. The surf and turf restaurant near the beach was our favorite. Overall bars and restaurant options are plentiful and not crowdy. Staff was very responsive and polite. The only downside was a a musty air in the room. We were advised to run the air conditioning constantly, and staff deodorized the room, but some smell still remained. I would consider returning to the resort next year.

We have been to several resorts in Riviera Maya, but this was our first visit to Valentin Imperial. This resort was our favorite by far. The resort was clean and beautifully landscaped. The staff was friendly and we had excellent service. Dining options were great, and the overall food quality was better than other resorts. We booked a Silver Junior suite, and the room was spacious and comfortable. We will be back.

Overall, a great hotel! We truly enjoyed our stay and left feeling refreshed and energized. The architecture is in Spanish colonial style. Lush tropical plants everywhere. Very photogenic. We stayed at the Golden Swim-up Suit. Highly recommend if you prefer a relatively more quiet surroundings and easy access to the pool (literally just outside your door). Actually, the vast majority of the time, we simply hanged out on the lough chairs outside our door at the front terrace. When it gets too hot, we jump in the pool for a quick swim and then come back to take a nap LOL The staff is very friendly and the food was tasty. I recommend the grilled octopus in the Mexican resturant. Now the downside. 1) the hotel

This resort is amazing. The quality of food for all inclusive is outstanding. So many reviews are repeat customers and so many people we met at the resort were repeat visitors. We completely understand why & we will absolutely be back. The activity staff are incredible and SO entertaining. The staff at all dining and bars are so kind and attentive. I could go on for hours about all of the pros of this resort!

The biggest issue here was the service. With the amount of money you’re paying to be there, I didn’t feel they were very accommodating. No one was really going out of their way to make our stay top notch. Also if you don’t have the Prive package they basically don’t care about you. I would say for a couples trip this would be fine but for a group it was not great.

Pros: walkable, clean beach, fun pool environment, evening entertainment, good food options Con: security is lacking We have stayed here 4 times and LOVE the resort and staff! We look forward each time to seeing Sonya at the pool and Amanda in the cigar lounge. We have come alone as a couple and also with groups of friends. Recently there have begun to be incidents that the resort refuses to handle (you can find more on these on the unofficial Facebook groups about Valentin) after security takes 20-30 minutes to arrive in the first place. While we were at the pool a woman was verbally mistreating staff and a man spoke up about it. She got upset and went to find her husband who promptly swam across the pool and punched him in the face and busted the man's lip open. My husband tended to the man who was punched while our friend held the other man back. That day the manager told my husband that they were going to move the man to another hotel. That night we saw them in the sports bar so my husband went to talk to the manager again and at the same time the group got kicked out of the sports bar for being drunk and throwing water but were then allowed to just move to the courtyard where there was music and another bar. Another night they were back in the sports bar taunting our group and the man whos face he punched. Each night my husband nicely asked the manager when he would be kicked out and we were told that they couldn't because he booked through a travel agency.

Hello, I hope my e-mail finds you well. I have texted w/one of your representatives regarding my experience @ the resort. May you please check your records? I.E. Unprofessional/Rude Staff @ French and Japanese Restaurant. The resort prides itself in no reservations, but upon arrival at their restaurants @ opening time (i.e., 6:00 pm) you are told to wait or leave. At both restaurants mentioned above the hostesses were rude, unprofessional, and one of them (i.e., Kenya-French Restaurant) screamed at me for no reason. Thank you!

Valentin Imperial is top notch. This was mine and my wife’s fourth time to this property. The staff is always very polite, kind, and extremely hard working. They will go above and beyond to make sure your needs and requests are met. This trip we brought another couple with us. They were pleasantly pleased with the property and their experience. They kept telling us how much fun they were having. The grounds at this resort are beautiful. The natural environment is what I love. You see wildlife as you walk down the paths on your way to the pools, beach, and restaurants. Can’t wait to plan our next visit!

From checking in to checking out, everything at Valentin Imperial mayas was great. The grounds are kept impeccably clean, the staff is friendly and professional and the all of the restaurants we visited were great. Our concierge, Mauricio, was very helpful thoughout our stay. Guadalupe did a wonderful job in our room. Franscisco, Milcia, Omar and Alan were some of the servers who made our stay so enjoyable. We will definitely be returning.

Only thing I didn't like is if you weren't in VIP tier, you had to proactively make reservations for dinner so you weren't eating at 9pm. With all the technology these days, e.g. OpenTable, visitors should be able to make reservations online or an app.

The room was clean and included a mini fridge of drinks and chips. ALL of the restaurants had great food and impeccable service. The restaurants and cafe are included in the package, so you can just bring cash for tips. However, there are some restaurants with extras for an added cost, like lobster or wines. We realized early on that we brought too much cash because you don't have to pay for much. The activities were so much fun. I thought the reviews were too good to be true, but this was the best place I've ever stayed. ALL of the staff were amazing, kind, wonderful and funny. The only thing is that the resort is not in a walkable area, so you will need to arrange transportation to go anywhere. If you aren't looking to leave the resort, this is the perfect place to stay. Thank you to everyone at the resort! My best friend and I had the most amazing time!

We love the Valentín, and are repeat guests. The service is wonderful, and the grounds are gorgeous! There are so many dining options and they are all delicious! There are lots of activities available, and plenty of relaxing spots too. Just be aware that some days the beach is gorgeous, but some days there is a lot of sargassum. On those days you can enjoy the HUGE main pool or other pools.

Amazing and friendly staff all the way around. Beautiful grounds that are well cared for and clean. Rooms are amazing - we stayed in the Emerald Suite and worth the price. Beach is not swimmable due to sargassum but that is no fault of the resort They are cleaning the sand constantly. Absolutely would recommend. This was our second stay and will be back

Very nice place, our stay was phenomenal. We have stayed in many similar places but this one is by far the best, my research and evaluations have paid off. Every staff member was friendly, professional and ensured we are well taken care of. Beach did not have seaweed except one morning (it is seaweed season in this area) but the hotel ensures the sand gets cleaned daily. This is a jungle style paradise, you’d see plenty of wildlife and we have witnessed turtles laying eggs at the hotel beach among other animals that stay away from humans. Pool water is warm, but the entertainment was excellent. Sairee and her team at the entertainment/activities are spectacular 6/5 ⭐️. Men have to wear pants, closed shoes, and a collar shirt in order to enjoy the themed restaurants; this keeps the environment classy yet fun. Japanese and French restaurants are amazing, the Italian being our least favorite. Happiness is guaranteed in this resort. Definitely coming back. Most guests we have spoken with have returned 4-5 times and counting, it says something. I would stay away from the transportation Expedia has as an option. They are not accommodating and careless, we found they are pricier than a taxi fare

READ BEFORE BOOKING! If you're looking for a resort with an amazing ocean view and nice breeze, this is NOT the place for you. Although the property is beautiful, it's extremely spread out, difficult to navigate (had to bust out google maps to find places) and worst of all it's too far from the ocean and blocked by trees where you get zero breeze and and are ATTACKED by mosquitos constantly. The grounds are very secluded and it's like you're vacationing in the rain amazon rain forest. There was some pretty cool wildlife on site, even monkeys, which should help you envision the forest like atmosphere this place sits in. The staff was nice and the food was decent but the environment is where I struggled. If found myself in the pool the whole time just to get some relief from the stale heat and humidity but even then the pool was warm and gave zero refreshment. As good as the food was and as friendly as the staff was, they lacked a sense of urgency when bringing food and drinks. The activities were just OK and after 9PM, there really wasn't a whole lot to do. Considering this is an adults only place, it seemed pretty quiet and boring. The restaurants were impossible to get into (reservations were not a thing) so you were waiting outside, with the mosquitoes, 2+ hours just to eat in the non-buffet places. I was very underwhelmed and won't be going back.

The area getting into the ocean is rocky - so not able to swim easily - unless you have boat shoes. Very good nightly entertainment. Large swimming pool. Wait staff around the pool was very attentive bringing drinks.

Overall, the property was great. It was clean, staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food was good. The pool was one of the best that I have encountered. My only real complaint was the dress code for dinner. There is no reason that decent shorts shouldn't make the cut when you are on a beach vacation.

This place was awesome. The food was the best I've ever had of any all-inclusive resort. The grounds were kept beautiful, and there was like six or seven restaurants to choose from each night. Come here if you're on a honeymoon or an anniversary.

Resort is beautiful. Pools are nice. Beach would be great but was unusable due to significant amount of seaweed. Drinks were all great! Resort gets 4 stars instead of 5 because of the food. Breakfast and lunches/snacks were good, nothing special. Dinner was a struggle. The hibachi at Ginger was excellent, our other two dinners were very subpar. Filet mignon at the French place was inedible. Overall, we'd stay here again but be prepared for lack luster dinners. Evening entertainment could be improved too.

Only thing I didn't like is if you weren't in VIP tier, you had to proactively make reservations for dinner so you weren't eating at 9pm. With all the technology these days, e.g. OpenTable, visitors should be able to make reservations online or an app.

Despite the weather being terrible.. the resort and staff made our trip very enjoyable. We absolutely loved this resort. We recommend it 10/10 and would absolutely come back. The food is top tier. Best we’ve had at any all inclusive resort.
