Good location when attending events at Brighton Centre. Entrance & reception area very impressive. Lots of stairs / steps in hotel, especially when 1 lift out of use causing accessibility issues. Our room (307) even had steps into bathroom which we were not made aware of at check in. Breakfast was included in price from 7-10, however by 9:15 bakery items had run out & were not replenished. Room was clean but very warm with no air con just a desk fan, window could only be slightly opened.

The room was a good size, but the bath room was very narrow, very hard to get in and out of the shower. The windows were very dirty, on the outside, had to keep curtians closed, as the view looked onto the back of other building, and because of the dirty windows. This room was over priced, for all the above reasons. The windows could of done with some nice net curtains.

Disappointing stay – rooms in need of updating Unfortunately, my stay was rather disappointing. The room was in need of modernisation, with the facilities and furnishings feeling dated and not really up to the standard I would expect from a hotel of this type. There was also a noticeable dip in the floorboards, which was both uncomfortable and gave the impression that the room needed some maintenance. The biggest issue, however, was the noise at night. Our room was next to a maintenance cupboard, from which there was a constant ticking noise throughout the night. This made it difficult to sleep and was particularly frustrating as it appeared to be an easily identifiable maintenance issue that could potentially have been addressed. On the positive side, the staff were pleasant, but the condition of the room and the ongoing noise significantly affected our experience. I hope the hotel takes these issues seriously and invests in updating the rooms and addressing the maintenance problems.
