The Charm Brighton Boutique Hotel & Spa

Room good, breakfast fine, nice bathroom. In the room there was insufficient hanging space and too few hangers. In the bathroom there was only a tiny shelf to house your lotions and potions. Nice, polite and helpful staff. A good place to stay, but the external environment was less than desirable.

Was a lovely hotel stay and in a great location

We had a "luxury double room". This was reasonably big with a very nice ensuite bathroom. The over bath shower was particularly good with a powerful stream and hot water. In terms of downsides, the room was in the basement of the hotel so no view out of a window other than into a small quadrangle in the middle of the building. A quirk was that there was a door out of the bathroom into the quadrangle with a small table and 2 chairs so if anyone wanted they could sit there, although I'm not sure that anyone would want to. The soundproofing wasn't great so noises of people walking around above came through quite easily. Fortunately other guests weren't noisy so not too much of a problem. Also because of how the plumbing outflows worked we could hear the water coming from room above, like toilets flushing and shower outflows etc. We had a complementary breakfast one morning which was good with a nice choice of items and the option to ask for fresh poached or fried eggs. Free wifi easy to access. The location is good, in Kemp Town with Brighton City centre and seafront easily walkable within 10-25 minutes depending on intended destination. We walked from the hotel to the train station an about 20 minutes. OK to stay as long as you can put up with some noise from other guest rooms.
