Perfect for good walks along the promenade. Parking ridiculously expensive. Breakfasts delicious. Bedroom, you get what you pay for; small but comfortable. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Hardly any wardrobe space, but lovely robes and slippers for the pool.

The hotel has an informal feel which we like, the room was very comfortable and it was great to be able to sit and watch the sea from our room. It was a shame that the Steam Room and Sauna were still out of action since we were looking forward to using these, the pool and hot tubs were great though.

Hotel is right on the seafront and an easy walk to Brighton Pier and the Lanes. There is no street parking nearby so we parked the car in Churchill Square carpark for 2 nights at our own cost. Our room was bright and spacious with a great view of the sea through a large bsy window. Breakfast was cooked to order. The bar area is pleasant and quiet. Staff was excellent, and in particular, Clae from the front desk who recovered some clothing I left behind and forwarded it on to our next destination. Area along the seafront was dirty and tacky, but some excellent pubs in the Lanes area.

Harbour Hotel is great and we’ll definitely stay again. The location is brilliant. Our room was small but fine for a one night stay. The spa has lovely facilities the only thing is it’s difficult to swim in the pool when guests stand in it and chat! That’s not the hotel’s fault though. The sauna is really hot which was awesome. Lastly, the breakfast was perfect and there was plenty of choice.

Good location, the spa is amazing (although you have to do pay for access per day). The room and the hotel decor just felt quite dated and tired, not sure I would spend the money to stay again.

Mostly great, comfortable room and bed in a great location. Paid extra in comparison to other hotels for the pool (not the spa) and you'd be lucky to get two people able to swim alongside each other in that pool. Facilities were very nice but our 'complimentary gin and tonic' came without a bottle opener for the bottles of tonic and ice took over an hour to arrive, in which time we had left. They were quick to apologise though and gave as 2x free drink vouchers. Slightly incoherent charging of the spa facilities though.

Hotel feels shabby. Inland rooms have no air con but the windows were cracked, filthy and we faced a noisy hostel and building site. So choice between hot & stuffy or noisy. Spa was lovely. Little to no drinking water provided. Steam room wasn’t working properly. Pools are amazing though and fab layout. It’s what you pay for and perfect for a wet summer! Always choose sea view though. Would never pick inland again. Overpriced for what it is.

Excellent hotel and location. Only downside was no parking at the hotel. We used an app JustPark abd hired someones driveway for the weekend. This then neant lugging our bags for a 20 minute walk. Not great if you're an older couple. Spa was excellent though.

Hotel location was perfect. Close to the laines, shops, beach front, i360 and restaurants. The hotel room itself was spacious, plenty of storage, decent coffee machine, complimentary gin and tonic and a super big comfortable bed. Decor overall very nice. Staff very friendly and happy to accommodate. The weather was very hot this weekend. We had to ask for a change of room as the 1st night stay was very warm. Window didn’t open, and the air con machine supplied didn’t work. The room over all was damp and we had found black mould on the walls of the bathroom. Isolator fan didn’t work in bathroom either. Moved to another room with no issues from staff. Much better room with a window to allow air flow! Isolator fan still not working and air con still poor but overall a better room and better stay. Would stay again. Amazing location!

easy check in and nice staff unfortunately tv wasn't working and after back and forth messages nothing was done to solve this...large crack on sink basin and cups left in the room unclean, quite loud all night from outside but to be expected sea front however a couple blinds where broken so nothing to block the noise or sun

I really enjoyed my stay at the Harbour hotel. Front desk staff were really friendly/helpful and I was impressed by how CLEAN (i have high standards) and cosy the rooms were. The single room was smaller that i expected in person, the ensuite actually feels bigger than the bedroom but it was so nice and cosy and they added a good quality desk fan to help with help with the ventilation which was a nice touch. Also! full length mirror if you like those! The beds in particular have fantastic pillows/mattresses so I had the best nights sleep I've had in a while. I was initially hoping for a seaside view room but actually glad I chose a back room on the other side because I feel it made for a quieter night. The hotel is literally on the seafront so 7 mins walk to the beach was so convenient for work and lots going on to do and see on that particular part of the beach. Breakfast was good, dinner was FANTASTIC and would highly recommend eating at the restaurant for dinner as the quality and taste of the meals were great. Simple WIFI process and strong connection throughout. I will definitely be back to explore the larger seaside view rooms!

Wonderful stay and the mattress was incredible.. the pillows were very uncomfortable though. The hotel was very clean and looks beautiful on the inside, don’t get put off by the outside! The spa was amazing too. Would 100% stay again.

Overlooking Brighton's expansive beach, nicely renovated hotel with a surprisingly welcoming underground spa, where I had a thoroughly recomended deep tissue massage. It could do with a bit more diligent dusting and vacuuming though, both in the rooms and communal areas (the lift for example). And although everyone was helpful & polite, ask a receipt for everything extra (i.e. the not so good value for money breakfast) you pay for as it may not show on their system and you may be asked to pay twice.

Room was far too small for 2 people. Real lack of space in both bedroom and bathroom. The bed itself was uncomfortable with an extra thick duvet which isn’t what is required in the middle of a heatwave. We woke up to maggots on the floor of our room. Windows didnt function properly so there was a real lack of fresh air, the mini fan provided isn’t sufficient to keep an entire room cool. Overall I’ve paid for a hotel room that failed to provide the basic requirements of a hotel booking. Rarely make comments on these but this must be the worst experience I’ve had.

Very small room with little or no space to hang anything longer than a tee shirt. Bed squeezed into a corner so could only get in & out from one side which made it difficult for the one against the wall. Very expensive for such a room a small room & breakfast not included either. Hotel lovely with very nice staff but there is a nightclub next door and both nights Friday and Saturday it played very loud music until 4am, so not much sleep. A shame as overall lovely hotel and location.

Lovely property and great bar and spa facilities. Disappointed at the lack of aircon in our room (although our friends room did have A/C…) and 2 poxy fans that blow warm air at you!

I’ve always liked this hotel as it’s quite small and it always felt a little special. But this time I felt very much like just a number, no real welcome or attention given at any point. Deluxe Room (sea view) - whilst bed was very comfortable and bathroom adequate the rest was a little tired and I found it rather lacking. Especially for the price.

We booked a “cosy double” room for 2 nights, which was so tiny! The small double bed could only be accessed from one side, meaning I had to climb over my partner to get in and out of bed! There was literally no space in the room, would be ok for one person, but not a couple. We requested to upgrade soon after we arrived but were told the hotel was fully booked. We had an awful first night and on day 2 we asked again for a different room and was again told no. We booked a “cosy double” room for 2 nights, which was so tiny! The small double bed could only be accessed from one side, meaning I had to climb over my partner to get in and out of bed! There was literally no space in the room, would be ok for one person, but not a couple. We requested to upgrade soon after we arrived but were told the hotel was fully booked. We had an awful first night and on day 2 we asked again for a different room and was again told no. It was my birthday & had a wonderful time. Stayed for 2 nights Sunday 8th December for 2 nights along with my daughter. We enjoyed the spa, the restaurant & our room was lovely, clean & a sea view. Checkin was very goid & I must say 'Clay' on reception was amazing. A very professional, friendly man whom made our stay very good. The restaurant/bar staff were friendly & helpful. We stayed here 2 years ago & have to say will always come back to this wonderful gem whenever I stay in Brighton. Only living 5 miles away is a bonus too. I totally recommend this hotel. Arrived around 12:30 for a 3 pm check-in. They were very firm on saying I had to come back at 3 but let me check in my bag. I asked if I could use the spa before 3 given that I was also paying for that separately and the staff were very firm on that too. I don't understand that - I wouldn't even have minded paying an extra £10 for another day's worth but I think I was made to feel like I was being demanding for even asking. On top of that, two of us were spending over £200 on treatments at the spa between us, so it really wouldn't have killed the hotel staff to recognise that. I then left my bag and went out for a wander. When I came back with my wife to check in at 2:45, the room still wasn't ready and nor was anybody else's. 3 pm is already quite late as a check-in time and its four hours on from the standard check-out time. When it got to 3 pm though, the staff smiled and told me that my room would be ready at 3:15 pm! No real apology, no explanation and no effort to put things right - if somebody has to wait longer, the staff should do something like offer them a late check-out or tell them that they're welcome to a complementary coffee on the house etc... In the end, I made a point of going down to the spa and using that from 3 pm because I was paying for it and they couldn't get my room ready. This morning, before I checked out, housekeeping also knocked. No wonder no rooms are ready for 3 pm if the staff try to clean a room on the day of checkout before the guest left

Hotel is right on the seafront and an easy walk to Brighton Pier and the Lanes. There is no street parking nearby so we parked the car in Churchill Square carpark for 2 nights at our own cost. Staff was excellent, and in particular, Clae from the front desk who recovered some clothing I left behind and forwarded it on to our next destination. We had a lovely stay, very much appreciated up-grade, lovely surprise of gin in room with binoculars on table with comfy chairs. Lovely spacious room, very comfortable bed, pillows and quilt. Lots of space for clothes, iron and hair-dryer. We were only going to have breakfast the first morning, but it was so nice and we thought very good value, we had it the next day as well. Didn’t have an evening meal as didn’t see the menu at reception until the last day. We regretted not seeing it as we certainly would’ve. The hotel has very helpful friendly staff and we would definitely stay there again.

Had been Looking forward to this stay - great room and comfort when we arrived as we would expect but this enjoyment all changed later when we came back from dinner. (Dinner n drinks was awesome btw) Got back to the room that smelt from sewage coming from bathroom. Tried to ring reception many many times. No answer. Called the hotel from mobile. No answer. Apparently they have a known issue with phones not working. That’s a health and safety issue right there and also a pain in tye butt. There’s supposed to be a 24hr duty manager somewhere however nothing. Da nada. Zilch response Ended up sending emails which got answered at 0920am However as a result had to keep window open for my daughter and I and the club next door did not shut until 3.30sm. So had little sleep as was awoken at 0730wm by the road outside. All in all crap service which is a shame and the follow up from management in the morning I was not completely happy with either. Not staying here again. I am sure there are better hotels around just be wary of this one as amenities need updating to be fit for purpose. ☹️

Unfortunately arrived after 3pm but my room wasn’t ready so had to wait approx 30mins which delayed me using the facilities (the reason I stayed here). Other than that, everyone was polite. Nice to see vegan options for dinner and decent wine choice.

I booked the wrong date, and realised within 2 minutes. But wasn't able to cancel. The hotel did not respond to messages on Expedia, when I called they said I had to speak to Expedia as I didn't book direct. I then had to contact Expedia, who contacted the hotel, and in the end I paid for a hotel I couldn't stay in. The lack of communication was appalling.

Hotel location was perfect. Close to the laines, shops, beach front, i360 and restaurants. The hotel room itself was spacious, plenty of storage, decent coffee machine, complimentary gin and tonic and a super big comfortable bed. Decor overall very nice. Staff very friendly and happy to accommodate. The weather was very hot this weekend. We had to ask for a change of room as the 1st night stay was very warm. Window didn’t open, and the air con machine supplied didn’t work. The room over all was damp and we had found black mould on the walls of the bathroom. Isolator fan didn’t work in bathroom either. Moved to another room with no issues from staff. Much better room with a window to allow air flow! Isolator fan still not working and air con still poor but overall a better room and better stay. Would stay again. Amazing location!

Perfect for good walks along the promenade. Parking ridiculously expensive. Breakfasts delicious. Bedroom, you get what you pay for; small but comfortable. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Hardly any wardrobe space, but lovely robes and slippers for the pool.

Excellent hotel and location. Only downside was no parking at the hotel. We used an app JustPark abd hired someones driveway for the weekend. This then neant lugging our bags for a 20 minute walk. Not great if you're an older couple. Spa was excellent though.

Great hotel in a prime location! Easy access to the Lanes, the beach, pier etc and a short walk from the other beach attractions. Lovely little Spa (although we didn't use it this time) and the staff are all lovely. The restaurant does a mean fish & chips, too!

Great stay, very comfy bed, very lovely staff and useful when you want a takeaway to your room. The only things that could be better would be getting the windows cleaned and some minor mould on the ceiling. Also the breakfast cost was overpriced considering you could walk to Wetherspoons nearby and get the same for less (or get a too good go like I did). Overall great but could be amazing.

On the whole, this is a good hotel with good staff. However, there was no hotel information sheet in the room as per other hotels which I like to refer to. Additionally, there were no cups in the room to facilitate the use of the coffee machine. Beware, if you have breakfast, they do not provide butter. When I asked for butter I was told it was by the toaster but when I showed them the flora margarine they confirmed that that was the only butter that they had. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and with the exception of the above personal preferences, everything else was good. I would stay here again.

The bar was a bit tired in places. Some chairs were ridiculously filthy and worn so I wasn’t hopeful but our room was perfect in every way. A beautiful comfortable pristinely clean tidy room with an enormous bed and free gin and tonic and a happy birthday welcoming plate with mini cakes and strawberries. Sadly the bar closed at 11pm so we were refused a drink on our return just after this which was a shame.

Amazing stay for my partners birthday. Room was very well presented and hotel offered to provide flowers to celebrate and even a happy birthday message written in chocolate! Absolutely recommend the rooms with a sea view, it really doesn’t disappoint at all! The larger rooms are well worth it, tons of extra space and let you really appreciate the design of the rooms. Spa is absolutely worth the money, it was £10pp per stay when we went, and it was brilliant. Restaurant is downstairs and offers one of the best continental breakfast selections I’ve ever seen, so much fresh fruit!

Recommend to book a Superior room with seaview for a wonderful view over the sea! I usually book standardrooms but here it's worth it, thank me later! If you book trough hotels.com and not directly trough the hotel, you have to pay a fee for the spa. I don't like that you have a disadvantage as a hotels.com-guest... other than that, the hotel was lovely, best location by the sea and friendly staff :)
