Room was small but perfect for the one night, fresh bedding and towels and shower was powerful. Lots of tea, coffee, sugar and milk in the room. Richard was brilliant, we were originally given the top floor but when he saw I have trouble walking we were given first floor with a few stairs. Overall perfect for what we needed, would definitely book again!

Wonderful 2-Night Stay – Great Location and Helpful Host! We had a fantastic two-night stay at Marine View. We are a couple who travelled into Brighton by train and arrived well before check-in time. Richard was incredibly helpful and friendly, allowing us to drop our bags off early so we could start exploring straight away. We opted for the room-only option since we love exploring local spots, but the breakfast looked delicious. We stayed in the basement room, which was clean and featured a very comfortable bed. The Wi-Fi was great, and although the property is very central, the noise levels were perfectly acceptable. The shower was adequate for our needs. While blackout curtains would have been a welcome addition, their absence wasn't a major issue for us. The location is excellent. It is very close to the seafront and surrounded by some fantastic nearby cafes and convenience stores. We would highly recommend staying here!

Traumatic experience – Hidden check-in rules and hostile management. My friend was stranded at Gatwick on 27 June and booked this hotel via Hotels.com. The platform only stated check-in started at 10:30 AM, with no mention that it closes strictly at 9:00 PM (21:00). By the time the hotel emailed us this critical policy, my friend was already on the train to Brighton. When I called to explain the emergency, the staff member refused to be flexible, became incredibly hostile, and shouted at me over the phone. Upon arrival, my friend was initially refused entry and was only let in after other hotel guests stepped in to help her. The manager then came out and aggressively demanded an immediate £20 late fee in cash. While paying a late fee is understandable, the extreme rudeness and lack of safety empathy for a stranded solo female traveller were unacceptable. Avoid this place if you need reliable customer service or clear booking terms.
