Let me start with the positives, as the negatives are a lot. Only and main positive is the staff at the reception and restaurant who is very welcoming and attentive. Esp. the breakfast staff is very welcoming, keeping an eye on all guests and their needs especially Aniko. All are good. We asked for mushrooms for breakfast and they arranged every time. We didn’t have lunch or dinner there, so can’t comment on the staff serving the same, if they are different. Now where this hotel miserably fails, 1. Small room, minimalist facilities for £220 per night. 2. Very bad Wifi signal. 3. TV free channels sometimes worked, sometimes didn’t. Netflix, etc. that runs on the internet did not work at all. 4. Double Bed was too small, may be enough for 2 young kids, but not for the adults. 6. Tiny bathroom to fit WC and shower with basin. 7. Hair dryer very basic, stops after few minutes of use. 8. Security issue - many rooms are long walk from main reception. Main door of the building for the rooms block area is always unlocked. 9. No peephole to room door. 10. No lift. People carried heavy bags over the stairs. This is definitely not a £220 per night room. They have leisure facilities but, 11. Very dirty lockers. 12. The keys of lockers have no wristbands. So, people had to leave their stuff in the lockers without locking them. 13. Shower taps are broken. 14. Steam room handle is broken. 15. Very basic breakfast for £14 per person. No bread variety. Not many things for vegan/vegetarian.

Our rooms were spacious and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent with large selection. The bar and reception area was very comfortable and with great wifi. Little or no wifi in the rooms. The pool and jacuzzi was very nice. Changing facilities and access to pool needs renovation. Staff extremely friendly. You can walk to city centre in 20 minutes. Overall, we will go there again.

I really liked this hotel. I was travelling alone and felt safe and comfortable. Really nice breakfast, parking was convenient. The best bit were the staff, I had a huge backpack, they saw me coming and opened a different door so I didn’t have to struggle through the rotating door. Really friendly and kind, answered my questions. Would book again.

Hotel in good location for Ben Nevis unfortunately the hotel is in need of maintenance and update the facilities are on need of modernisation and repair. The food is mediocre and limited selection. The room felt small and stuffy ensuite basic facilities. Very noisy and narrow corridors could hear people moving around the rooms either side and above or wandering up and down. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was kept clean and the breakfast was okay for a buffet selection. The hotel is currently under refurbishment hopefully when finished will look and feel better.

stayed there one night in June, it is an older facility but our room looked like it was recently renovated. The room was very clean but small. I did find it very expensive for what it was. But I guess that's what you have to expect in Fort William in June. Not much Hotel competition.
