The guest house is in a great location, the rooms are spacious and well cared for. It is in a very busy road, so if you are a light sleeper it may be an issue for you, but they do have ear plugs available.

This property is on the main road and there’s a hospital close by so it can be a bit noisy but only during the day. It is very conveniently located close (short walking distance) to dining, shopping and the grocery store. Our Luxury Suite room was huge and luxurious. There was a fridge and kettle and a French press and oat milk in convenient packets. (They came in and cleaned it while we were out.) There was a shower and bathtub (which I’ll use next time). Brandy was friendly and gave us an excellent dinner recommendation. (We got lucky to get a seat.) We parked in the back and could leave through the fire door (if only we hadn’t left our charging cord behind!). Ben Nevis is just a short drive away so this was a perfect place to stay.

Lovely guest house within an easy walk of the train station and town center. Comfy bed and large bathroom. Apparently it was purpose built as a guest house some years ago, not converted from another building, which explains the size of the bathrooms. No lift. Allowed me to store luggage between checkout and sleeper train departure in the evening.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maclean Guest House. We were able to easily walk there from the train station and to then walk to the downtown area where all the shops, cafes, etc were located. The room was quite large and exceptionally clean. It had everything we needed and then some! We highly recommend this place and would stay here again without hesitation.

The Maclean Guest House was in a very convenient spot within Fort William. It was an easy walk to get to the main commercial street, yet far enough away to have easy parking. The facilities were very nice. The only negative is that the hot water in the showers did not work for more than one minute in either room my group booked.

It was a very nice room, very comfortable. Our room and the rest of property was extremely clean. There was a nice lounge downstairs. Brandy (owner???) was super helpful and friendly. Guest house within walking distance to train and bus station and to shops and restaurants in the town center. I'm only sorry we stayed one night.

The owners of the guest house were very kind and tried hard to make things right for us, but this stay just wasn’t for us. The building itself is very loud with creaks, water dripping, and once people move about, you can hear every footstep. It’s also on a main road through town where people drive faster than I expected and there’s near constant traffic. There’s no A/C so if you open the windows, there’s the constant road noise and the risk of midges as there are no screens. They provide earplugs which is kind but wasn’t enough for this light sleeper. After a cold, rainy day, we came back to find the hot water wasn’t working in our room. They did their best to help and make it right but it was rough to not be able to take a hot shower. I recommend staying near High Street, off Belford Road. Or stay elsewhere as there isn’t much going on in Fort William - even the locals said most folks stay in Oban. I will say that the room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable!

Spacious for 3 adults. Large bathroom. We were on the 3rd walk up which would be difficult to carry up suitcases if you were elderly. Room was too warm for sleeping. We did crack the window but didn’t open it due to rain. Very clean & quiet except for road noise.

Nice big room, comfy with a nice view. It was on the top floor and the staff helped with luggage which was nice. It is on a busy street but I slept through it all. Some noises from the hallway, but nothing major.

Close to train station and downtown area. The room was clean and comfortable but very tiny. During our three night stay two nights we were awakened at 2am to guitar playing, singing, yelling. The third night was quiet so we were able to sleep.

The owners and staff were absolutely amazing. They were so accommodating as we were getting married at the end of our stay with them. Our room was very clean bright and well decorated. Parking was very convenient. The location was very central to everything. If we ever end up in fort william again that’s the only place we will stay.

The location is perfect for access to the train station (including the Jacobite train) and bus station, just a 7 minute walk. We had a nice view from our window. The room was very clean and we had everything we needed, including coffee and a press. Good quality tea as well with sugar and milk. The only thing which might be a problem for some is the traffic, which does quiet down about 10 and the sounds from other rooms around you. The activity above is easily heard. We were quite tired at the end of the day and it was not much of an issue for us. It is a lovely place to stay and close to everything.

We found the Maclean Guest House perfect for our stay in Fort William. We liked the off-street parking, and found access to the town center, train station, groceries, and Ben Nevis perfect. We also appreciated the onsite staff, property security, and little extras like paper plates and silverware available if needed. Highly recommend.

This property is on the main road and there’s a hospital close by so it can be a bit noisy but only during the day. It is very conveniently located close (short walking distance) to dining, shopping and the grocery store. Our Luxury Suite room was huge and luxurious. There was a fridge and kettle and a French press and oat milk in convenient packets. (They came in and cleaned it while we were out.) There was a shower and bathtub (which I’ll use next time). Brandy was friendly and gave us an excellent dinner recommendation. (We got lucky to get a seat.) We parked in the back and could leave through the fire door (if only we hadn’t left our charging cord behind!). Ben Nevis is just a short drive away so this was a perfect place to stay.

The guesthouse is the perfect spot to stay in Fort William and explore the Highlands. Check-in was quick and easy, the room was very comfortable and everything in Fort William is an easy 10 minute walk away.

This was a perfect place to stay with my college-aged children on a family trip. The room was spacious and clean, with plenty of lighting options (bedside lamps for reading, etc.). Location was excellent: close to train/bus station, shopping district, restaurant, and grocery store. A wonderful place to stay in Fort William!

For our 24 hour trip up to Glen Coe and Ft. William, the Maclean Guest House was the perfect overnight stay. Brandi at check-in was lovely and full of suggestions. She was able to quickly accommodate a last minute change in our plans. Clean, comfy, and relaxing night!

Very well appointed property. Clean and modern. Great central location, parking, easy to find, friendly and welcoming staff. Flat screen smart tv; beverages; mini fridge; great shower. The only drawback is that there is no breakfast provision but you know this when you are booking it. Highly recommended.

Great location. Waklable to the downtown area and a great jumping off point for the things to do in the area. We took a day trip to Eilean Donan and had a great day. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the hosts are super helpful if you have questions or need recommendations. Heads up the town doesn't open early if you need breakfast before 9am.

Comfortable, clean room with new fixtures, everything perfect. Great shower. Quiet, very solid-seeming. Beautiful view over the town out to the water. No breakfast provided, but there is plenty of coffee and tea, plus a small fridge—we got breakfast stuff at Tesco the night before (5 minute walk) and it was grand. Highly recommended.

Room was large, very comfortable and clean. Check in and check out was very fast annd efficient. Our room faced the street and we could hear vehicles driving by during the night. Other rooms not facing the road might be quieter. No restaurants or food service on the property and it’s a bit of a walk to the restaurants.

Excellent location. Wonderful host. Went above and beyond for suggestion book prep. Accommodating to our needs. Will definitely stay here again next time and would highly suggest them to others!

This was a great find only a 5 minute walk to restaurants and a grocery store. The room had ample space for the two of us including a small refrigerator which is nice. The bathroom and shower were also in pristine condition. At the front they had some disposable utensils if you needs them and the parking lot was also a nice freebie.

We had a top floor room with a view of the lake far beyond but it was on the warm side in the summer. There was a welcome ceiling fan remote controlled. The car was parked at the rear of the property but there was a back door which we could use to move the luggage.

A great place to stay! We originally booked for 1 night, but extended to 3 because it was so good: Perfect location, 5min walk to everything and easy spot to get to by car. Superfriendly staff too!
