Front desk was not what you expect from a Hyatt hotel, I asked to change my room from double bed to a king size, she sent me to a room for disable clients, did not tell me about the bath tub and I had a very hard time taking a shower until I finally figured out how to unplug the table from the bath tub. You would think that they would give me heads up or offer help doing it.... not this girl. Place was over booked and totally understaffed Saturday evening and breakfast on Sunday was pretty bad, not prepared to service customers, bad service, not enough hot food, etc. Only one elevator working for a very large crowd, waited 10 to 12 minutes each time we used it. Absolutely not worth what I paid for, not coming back.

Plenty if parking, but u have to pay 25 dollars per stay,but it makes up for it when they have security outside. Breakfast was really good, fresh and plenty of it. Facility was clean and plenty of staff.

Hotel over all was clean and nice. The only real problem was no hot water. Had to take lukewarm showers and the hotel knows it but doesn’t fix it. They told to run the sink for 5 minutes on hot then

Great location to downtown and river walk. Walking distance is great. The room was big and nice. I do not like how we have to pay 25.00/day for parking. I am already paying at hotel shouldn’t have to Pay to park.

It's a beautiful location on the Riverwalk and would have been wonderful if it wasn't in the middle of remodeling. The room we were assigned, smelled like sheetrock and across the hall they were drilling loudly. Their lobby is closed and you check-in in a small hallway in the back. There are workmen everywhere. However, the staff was great when we complained. They moved us upstairs further away from the construction to a wonderful room with a view of the river. If, as they expect, the construction is finished by April, I'd stay here again. Just wish I had been warned.

Great service from the front desk secretary. Room had ants. My bathroom was not all the way clean. Could tell on the toilet it was used prior to me getting into the room. Wont go back.

This hotel had incredibly clean rooms. They smelled impeccable! They only have one washer and dryer for the entire hotel and there was a line of people who needed to wash and dry. There is a rude man who was at the breakfast bar when it was closing telling who can and can’t get breakfast. Other than that this was a really nice hotel. I would stay again.

Breakfast service design is poor. The line snakes around the room and into the hallway. It is very small room for the number of people. The food was fine and staff were visibly working hard to keep up. Bar - I was served an old fashioned with cheaper liquor than advertised and no cherry. Nope. View - of the air conditioning unit and roof. Backside of the hotel was a nice view of the riverfront.

This hotel was in a perfect location—right in front of the Riverwalk, making exploring the area on foot easy. I parked my car once and didn’t need it again since most downtown spots charge for parking anyway. Breakfast exceeded my expectations. It was a full, hot breakfast with plenty to choose from, and the breakfast tacos were a standout. I especially appreciated the real hot sauce—not the bottled kind. It was a great way to start the day! The room was a pleasant surprise. The beds and pillows were incredibly soft and comfortable—some of the best in a hotel. I enjoyed my stay.

The room was spotless, although it has a very weird layout. The restroom door is centimeters away from hitting the toilet. And the parking is pricey. Only thing really going for this hotel is the location.

Definitely walkable to the river walk, Alamo, shopping and dining, but expect a minimum 15 minute walk. The area around the hotel may be a little sketchy at night for someone not used to a larger city. This is due to a lack of lighting in the surrounding areas leading up to the hotel. Other than that, the hotel is great! Very clean, spacious rooms, recently renovated, and super quiet.

My reservation was double booked. The night manager was the opposite of helpful. I was charged for 2 rooms instead of 1. I then catch an early flight home was not able to get a refund for the extra night. Paying for extra nights and extra rooms is the reason ill stay somewhere else the next time I'm in town.

The accommodations were great, but the staff was outstanding. Every staff member was friendly and eager to help. I have stayed at many hotels, and the team at the Hyatt Place San Antonio was a notch above all others. Seriously, I thought we were at the Four Seasons! Oh, and the breakfast was fantastic too!

I have to give this hotel a 2 star rating for a very huge problem to me, and for something that's never happened in my many years of booking hotels online. Weeks in advance, I booked a double bed room and paid for it immediately. On the day I arrived, at check-in, I was given a King room, which I most definitely did NOT want, did NOT book, and did NOT pay for. I told the front desk clerk my confirmation, reservation, receipt, etc., all said DOUBLE ROOM, 2 BEDS. She was absolutely unhelpful and implied I had changed the booking (I had not). And because all the double rooms were booked I was stuck with the King room and had no explanation offered as to how this happened. That's not okay. What happened?? Additionally, there are multiple undisclosed charges on my credit card now pending for over $120, that were NOT included in ANY of my final bills or receipts (not for parking, room charge, etc). What are these for?! Nobody informed me of additional charges upon check in or check out. That being said, the hotel was otherwise pretty good. Smells nice, looks clean, great location, you can easily and comfortably walk to downtown, family friendly. Breakfast was good with many options. And even though I was given the wrong room, it had a nice view toward downtown from the top floor. I liked this hotel but after my experience with booking I probably would not stay here again.

The front desk was super helpful. They accommodated our early check in. We were in town for a baseball game that started at the time we were supposed to check in. We even received a call to ask how our stay was going. Everyone was so friendly. Will now make this my go to when in town. Thank you!

No bell hop to assist with luggage my kid was in a wheelchair with a sprained ankle. No one offered assistance Three different parking lot gate keys did not work very frustrating. Definitely not coming back there. Will not recommend

We had ants in our room on the 3rd floor. The hotel was "under renovations" during our stay, which was not mentioned on the website. So the restaurant, coffee shop/cafe, and bar were all closed. There were no open coffe areas throughout the main areas like stated on the website, and the "main lobby" was set up in a tiny hallway where people accumulated and you had to squeeze by. I get that they were trying to improve their property, but they should also stop advertising the amenities that they are not offering at this time. I was very disappointed that we couldnt even find a pot of coffee in a main area of the hotel so we could sit and visit. The breakfast menu was good, but we had to eat in a room that was thrown together every morning that had not near enough seating for guests. Like I said, a warning before arrival or a statement on their website letting cuatomers know what will not be available should be fair. And possibly some discounted rates.

I didn't give this place a 5-star rating because their breakfast could have been much better. The eggs and oatmeal were runny and gross. They ran out of bagels and didn't bring any more. They should use a toaster for the bread because the machine they use requires you to use it around five times on each side to get it brown.
