The only downside was having to fly into punta Cana , if flights were made into PP then it would put back on 12 hours onto the holiday , a bit quiet but we are good with that but not so good for the hotel

Room did not cool down. No hot water for showers. Told VIP room people about air conditioning. Said they would send somebody there and nobody came.

Some staff were very kind and helpful, room kept losing light we had to call several times for help , there was random water coming into our room I ended up cleaning it with our towels and the towels were supposed to be replaced and they never came back . Bartenders and waiters were what made the experience really nice. You can't do much more with VIP but the private beach spot and one hangout spot so I wouldn't even suggest getting it. Food wasn't great either except for Saturday which was Dominican day ,I survived on pasta and potatoes, my friend got super sick twice this trip. Overall not the best resort experience.

I paid for VIP once getting to the hotel. The check in process was easy and the person who helped us was great. We were instructed to go to the VIP Lounge where the receptionist was supposed to give us our VIP bracelets and other goodies. She was too busy on the phone and did not provide us with additional information. One of the days, water was dripping from the AC and light fixture. I called maintenance and they said the AC was defrosting and they will come back in an hour and I never heard from them again. Another night, I went to one of the speciality restaurants (Mexican) and after waiting 30 mins after being seated, our order was not taken and tacos were given to us. It seemed like it was left over meat put into tacos. Then the buffet was closed and we were not able to have dinner. The waiters/servers ignored us sometimes and once when I asked for water someone sucked their teeth. I understand this hotel is on the affordable end in puerto plata but the service has to be better. I have never experience anything like this. It was disappointing.

I can see that male staff can’t control behaviour to female guest, training staff is a most if hotel want to grow up. I’m very disappointed because I called my taxi and staff in the front door don’t allow him to in and didn’t want to us to get in to the taxi.. push me to take the taxi that they want… As a guest we have the rights to choose our own taxi and the hotel have to give me all the facilities to get it..
