El hotel no cuenta con estacionamiento propio, y al llegar fue un lío encontrar un parquímetro. Lo bueno es que generalmente hay lugares de estacionamiento disponible afuera del hotel La zona es muy segura y está cerca de quinta avenida. También está a pie de playa, pero hay lanchas alrededor y el olor a peces es insuperable.

Great little hotel. Our room was okay. Beach is not swimmable and lots of seaweed but thats everywhere there. Too many boats in front to swim. Pool small but clean. Not much room for even sitting in area around pool and our room was upstairs jn the back of hotel.. Cant beat the location!!!

The hotel overall was great, we were a block away from 5th Avenue and hotel has its own private beach. We went with children and the hotels beach tide was too strong for the kids to get in so we had to walk to the other side of the beach. The only down side was there’s only street parking and we got a ticket for supposedly not paying the meter. We didn’t want to go fight it, but we were wrongfully ticketed. Be careful it’s a scam, save every ticket once’s paid.

Smells like fish! The water is very muddy & you CANNOT get in. DO NOT BE TRICKED BY THESE Pictures. Locks to doors are sketchy. No chairs at the pool. The pool is shaded…no sun.

I rented what is call the penthouse & the view was beautiful it was right on the beach they offer breakfast for an additional charge which I liked the breakfast was good & they bring it to your room! The staff was very friendly and helpful as well as the night guard very sweet man! The only bad thing was that it didn’t have parking but they have meter parking outside.

The private beach for the property has washed almost completely away. Pictures of hotel need to be updated. There's about 20ft of sand from the end of the deck. Very disappointing on that front. Aside from that, it was a nice place. Pretty, quiet, security at the door on the overnights. Not much in terms of food or drink though. Besides a small breakfast, you have to leave the hotel for everything. No kitchen or bar.

Great boutique hotel close to the famous Avenida Quinta (5th Avenue). We enjoyed drinks and appetizers at neighboring restaurant, and they served us on the beach chairs. We also had fantastic beach massages at the place right next door. This is not a "beach destination" hotel, as there is practically no beach, but that was not our purpose for the 2 nights stay. I would stay again!

Playa Palms is a small hotel right on the water. It is located on a small, quiet street, yet close to the noisy/lively 5th Ave. It is a lovely place with its white balconies and patios. A narrow pool invites to cool down. Beach chairs await every day. The water is not great for swimming because of anchored fishing boats right there but a large public beach is very close. The staff was super friendly. Our room was spacious, very clean, nicely outfitted, with a nice bath and patio. We enjoyed this hotel and would recommend it.

I really enjoyed my stay at Playa Palms. Check in took minutes, rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly. The location is amazing. We walked to Walmart and bought a few essentials. It was a quick and easy walk, maybe 10 minutes. 5 Ave is a very quick walk but the hotel is very quiet and we were there over a weekend. There are boats tied up close to the beach, but you can still get in the water. The city works of Playa work very hard to keep the beach clean and clear of seaweed. I will be back!

We stayed 2 nights and would definitely return. Property was beautiful, clean and quiet. The room was very comfortable, clean and decorated tastefully. Everything worked properly and we even cooked dinner one night in our kitchenette. Plenty of storage for all of our things to be put away. The pool is smaller but gorgeous and clean. The staff really want you to enjoy your stay and were available as needed to help. Stay here for the Mexico beach vibe, without the noise. Loved it.

The picture on Expedia was very deceiving, I thought I was going to get a partial view of the beach and a bigger room. I can see the beach if I poked my head out the balcony. Also, my room didn’t have a hammock, which was something that sold me on the room. The room wasn’t clean, I had a dirty towel and pillowcase. The location was decent and close to Quinta Avenida, I felt safe walking at night. There’s a club right across the street, “La Vaquita” you can’t hear what’s going on at night, the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Oh! You have to make sure you tell that what you want for breakfast, if you don’t, they won’t bring anything out. Not even if your order was the same the last nights. This is a decent inexpensive place. But I wouldn’t stay there again.

I stayed here on a solo vacation last week. It was a great place, walkable to all the fun things in playa. The staff was amazing, the place was clean, and the room itself was great I would say the beach in that area of Playa del Carmen was not really swimable due to the rocks and boats. However the beaches near by offered more swim able areas. I’d totally stay here again.

Die Unterkunft war sauber, sehr geräumig und komfortabel.(wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Straße raus) Es war recht ruhig und man hat vom Innenstadt Partymeilen Lärm nachts nichts mehr gehört. Super Anbindung vom AdoBus Alterna und vom Fähranleger nach Cozumel. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden wiederkommen.

I stayed in a studio with ocean view. It was fantastic! The room was clean and I had a great stay. Very close to the Quinta Avenida with plenty to do… Restaurants, cafes, shops, clubs. Everything within walking distance.

Lovely property right on the beach. Much nicer than staying to a large American chain hotel. Staff were wonderful. Only one block from busy shopping and restaurant/bar street but totally quiet. All units have lovely balconies with a hammock. As others have said, the beach is small, but right next to larger beach area. Highly recommend!!!

The beach and the pool were lackluster. We thought we were going to be getting a second level suite, but we were on the floor and had to share a patio, which was not what we were expecting. Got in trouble for swimming in the pool after 6pm, but saw people smoking on their patio and they didn't get in trouble. Walls are very thin - you can hear a pin drop. Staff was unable to communicate efficiently, with the exception of Alfredo (he was the star of the show - he seemed to keep the quests happy) The tv and internet did not work and we received no bars of service inside the room.

It’s a beautiful view to wake up to every morning from our room! Our room is nicely furnished with two burners and a refrigerator/freezer and the right amount of dishes, silverware etc. Carlos and all staff are so welcoming and helpful! The beach has plenty of chairs with sun or shade. We have stayed here many times through the years and will return! Highly recommend!

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t love about this Hotel! After I reserved my stay I realized that the night clubs were just around the corner on 12th and thought it would be loud at night, but you could not hear them at all!! All the people that work there are super friendly and helpful! Alfredo greats you with a big smile and makes sure your stay is the best it can be! The water pressure is very strong and the water is hot! The rooms are beautiful with an amazing deck with table and 3 chairs and a hammock! This will be my go-to hotel when I go to Playa. It’s so close to amazing restaurants and pubs with live music. It’s right on the beach with beach chairs! This place is a gem!

On the beach. Great staff and room. 2 burners cook top microwave fridge toaster blender. All dishes pan knife glasses etc. bring small kurag cups for coffee. Can buy at grocery store about 4 -5 blocks west. Pool great. Beach nice but better swimming few yards down. Great ac and bed. Quiet area very walkable

Alfredo and Karen did an excellent job! Alfredo went above and beyond! I mistakenly reserved for different dates and he helped me to fix it. He also help us to leave our luggage while we went on a tour. Karen did great as well. Definitely will go back to the place.

We enjoy staying at the Playa Palms! Everyone is very warm and welcoming! The property is very nice and easy to get to anywhere you want to go in Playa. For guests, they have bottled water, beach towels, umbrellas, and housekeeping each day! Highly recommend the Playa Palms Beach Hotel!

the staff were wonderful and very helpful! We have been coming to Playa Palms Beach Hotel for over 10 years and it doesn't disappoint! Carlos (has worked there for around 10 years) welcomed us and was so helpful and friendly as he always is! Our room was nice and a great view, comfy table and lounge chairs on the lanai. It's easy walk out the door to the beach, each access to 5th Avenue, shops, restaurants, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will return! Highly recommend staying at the Playa Palms Beach Hotel.

One of the few hotels in PDC that has a waterfront. It has a small beach area with lounge chairs and palm trees and I love the sound of the water crashing onto the shore. It adds to the serenity of the property. Although I did see a person or two in the water, its not really a swimming beach as the propertys beach is created woth a retaining wall of sandbags to prevent erosion. The water during the day gets murky with sediment, especially because of the local fishing charters that dock right off the water. My daighter even saw a 30" wide stingray cruising iff the coastline. There are friendly locals offering services inclduding fishing charters, massages and local trinkets. The property is located a block away from the clubs in downtown PDC but angled far enough away that the sound is barely noticable. Everything is walking distance. Loved the hitel. Everyone is so friendly and I would love to go again.

Third visit to Playa Palms. Perfect location. Nicest staff. Surroundings are well looked after. Nice view to the ocean. We would prefer a room on the “sunny” side and on second or third floor for a more private feel. But it was okay to try to stay on the ground floor with the people walking by the terrasse. We like the feeling of this place because it is a smaller hotel. More intimate. And really quiet even though it is 4 minutes away from 5th avenue and all the “chaos”. Highly recommend.

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t love about this Hotel! After I reserved my stay I realized that the night clubs were just around the corner on 12th and thought it would be loud at night, but you could not hear them at all!! All the people that work there are super friendly and helpful! Alfredo greats you with a big smile and makes sure your stay is the best it can be! The water pressure is very strong and the water is hot! The rooms are beautiful with an amazing deck with table and 3 chairs and a hammock! This will be my go-to hotel when I go to Playa. It’s so close to amazing restaurants and pubs with live music. It’s right on the beach with beach chairs! This place is a gem!

A little gem in the middle of the city! Quiet and clean. Only 24 or so units. All with a view of the central courtyard. Next time would stay on the ground floor in a pool view room as the beach seating is limited and no chairs around the pool. Delicious breakfast delivered to our patio each morning for $10/person with lots of options to choose from. Be on 5th Ave in an easy 3 minute walk, just 2 blocks off Constitutional Ave. but away from the hustle and bustle. And 1.5 blocks from 2 public beach accesses. Great for a two night stay like we did, or a month long adventure! We found an oasis in Playa del Carmen.

Love everything about this hotel. Beautiful, scenic, hammock on every patio, pool between rooms, layout of the room. Breakfast was really great, but make sure you order from the front desk the day before! It was a an easy walking distance to town.

Check-in was friendly and professional and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The view was amazing. Breakfast was really good and it was brought to the room. The picture on Expedia was very deceiving, I thought I was going to get a partial view of the beach and a bigger room. I can see the beach if I poked my head out the balcony. Also, my room didn’t have a hammock, which was something that sold me on the room. The room wasn’t clean, I had a dirty towel and pillowcase. The location was decent and close to Quinta Avenida, I felt safe walking at night. There’s a club right across the street, “La Vaquita” you can’t hear what’s going on at night, the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Oh! You have to make sure you tell that what you want for breakfast, if you don’t, they won’t bring anything out. Not even if your order was the same the last nights. This is a decent inexpensive place. But I wouldn’t stay there again.

Internet is complicated, we could not get it in our room, that was the only problem for us. If you decide to go for breakfast, pass on the Continental one, but there is a bakery, Carlotta's around the corner that has great croissant and cinnamon rolls.

The room and property were BEAUTIFUL! The problem is the sargassum algae completely overtook the beach. I understand it’s a natural occurrence but it seems like it was completely out of control. We had seen other property and the algae was cleaned up in piles and didn’t stink as bad. After we mentioned it they had one person shoveling it up. We specifically booked a beach front room and paid extra. It physically made me sick smelling what came through the room at night we had to downgrade rooms with no compensation.
