Hotel is budget priced, but its not budget feel. Its well situated at starrgate end, so its quiet but just a short tram ride into heart of blackpool. Rooms are very spacious,lift to all floors,free parking in front and on street behind.

Good points: Parking on side street outside and tram stop opposite takes you all the lenght of blackpool coast. Bad points: Both Showers in room broken and water takes 10mins to heat up!

The welcome was great very friendly. Limited parking. The rooms were lovely very spacious had everything we needed. The shower was quite low pressure. And the noise from other guests arriving back at all hours meant broken sleep. We would definitely stay again as it was a great room and friendly service.

Upon booking this said it had a bar, there is no bar and no breakfast. The room picture i thought i was getting was different to what i got amd wasnt half as nice, ok for 1 night cheap stay but i wouldnt return for longer.

We stayed here last year it was a great stay So went back this year, wifi was crap Stayed 5 nights , no room service we asked twice, different guys Fire alarm woke us up 2 mornings 7am then 4am Im quite disappointed as we loved this hotel last year Plus sides big room, small kitchen area Beds were comfortable Quiet landing The guys on reception were nice blokes

Very clean and tidy hotel with the room being just what you could want at the price. Clean bedding and towels, tidy room, ensuite and tea/coffee facilities. Its conveniently located 50 yards from the nearest tram stop which is a 15 minute ride to the Tower, or a 45 minute stroll along the promenade. All I would say is that the bed could do with an extra couple of pillows

We found the room to be tired and unclean. In real need of a facelift and for £100 per night, way overpriced. One window looked out over a horrible space, with bird poo all over it, with a massive extractor fan that made a loud noise intermittently. The windows were disgusting and unclean, again with bird poo all over them. On one day we didn't have hot water. The TV didn't work in one of the rooms. Nothing like the pictures online and very disappointing.

We had bed mites all over our headboard and in our bed, when told staff to come take a look they didn’t, moved rooms and the view was terrible pigeons and poo all over the windows. The mirror in the bathroom was full of mould and the shower was tiny, looked nothing like the bathrooms on the pictures.

Avoid! Completely overpriced for what you get. The room was shockingly dated, with stained and burnt carpets, and even vomit stains on the skirting board. We booked hoping for a sea view, but were stuck facing a wall. The shower dripped constantly, adding to an already unpleasant stay. Overall, dirty, neglected, and not worth the money.

Stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast was awful. Cold beans, cold tinned tomato, 1 rasher of very over cooked bacon, 1 very cheap sausage & some toast. Didn't bother on the 2nd morning. Came back to hotel after a day out, no housekeeping had been done at all. Dirty towel still in the shower (As they asked), no coffee / tea refil, bin not emptied etc. It's a shame, as the double room with a sea view I stayed in was actually quite pleasant. I won't be going back.

Booked the Trivelles Seaview at Blackpool with the family over the weekend to watch the fireworks. We checked into the hotel to a bad smell and a room that didn’t look like the pictures. I understand not all pictures are what they actually are but the pictures look somewhat clean. However the floor was marked and dirty. All the paint on the walls were chipped and has came away. The bathroom was dirty with rust all over the radiator with paint off. With a tiny shower for a family to which my partner couldn’t fit in. We went downstairs to try and resolve the matter but they wouldn’t help. And there was people already there waiting for their complaints. All we got was a sorry and and a plea to not write a bad review. Yet wouldn’t refund or help. Just grateful we managed to get an apartment to stay in so we could enjoy our time away.

Hotel is clean and tidy, nice and quiet. The host was excellent freindly and nothing was a problem switched rooms for our girls so they had a bed each and a bigger room we will definitely return Thank You!

Perfect for one or two nights, at reduced price. Bit more attention to detail, air vents, window sills. Bed comfortable but only one pillow each, double bed but could fit a kingsize. Seaview room. Blackout curtains, tatty and ripped as nailed to window frame, as not fitting properly and letting in loads of light, fron flood lights outside window and daylight hooks broken on top. Needs fly netting across windows as when hot and windows open, room fills with flies and window sill looks like a cemetery. Nice dressing table and bedside cabinets, let down by wardrobe with mirrored front with blackended mirror round edges of each piece of glass. Bathroom good, clean and functional, shower good, toilet flush reduced, toilet brush was dirty. Headboard good quality but nailed to wall with huge 2" x 4" pieces of wood behind, so pushing forward, makes sitting up in bed uncomfortable. Not many homely decorations, 2 small pictures. Would stay as location good, just down from piers etc but with a little bit more money, time and thought, this hotel could be so much more, little gold mine if upgraded just a little. Rubbish bin on entrance was full and over flowing and was the same when we left we days later. There is free parking in the crescent, but you will fight for it, no designated disabled spaces, otherwise parking further back from coast road 5-10 mins walk or paid parking on seafront road out of the crescent. Photos of rooms are not what rooms look like.

The room was clean and tidy, standard room. The toilet seat was broken and loose, the flush didn't flush. The noise level was high, you could here everything through the walls. Only one pillow and no option for more. There was no. Fire procedures in the room. Or at entrance.

The room booked was not the one on the website. Could not get in as was locked and staff would not answer phone. Eventually gained entry. Staff where praying. Strange set up once inside. Walked through what looked like an old working mans club with clothes on the radiators to get to our room

Mars hotel was budget friendly. Nothing special but perfectly adequate for price and location. I do give 10/10 tho to the man on reception. He was lovely whilst checking in. And then when I left my hair straighteners in the room and didn’t realise till home. This man was so helpful, I sorted a Royal Mail collection and he kept me updated with his side and made sure they were all packaged up to be sent back to me. To me he went over and above, thank you so much!

Sent to the wrong room which I questioned at reception and then I got into the room and 10 minutes later they knocked my door and told me I was in the wrong room and had to move.nobody knows what they are doing there.

Having read some recent reviews we were concerned about our visit. On arrival, the hotel like most along the front looks a little tired, however the front of the hotel was kept clean. When we checked in the gent behind reception was really polite, knowledgable and helpful. He ensured we knew the WiFi code, assisted with our breakfast orders and dining time. We travelled as a family of 5 (with 3 young girls under 7) the gent on reception had upgraded us to a larger interconnecting room to ensure our stay was more comfortable. The room was (against all recent reviews) very warm all evening/night, clean and had a new kettle. We could clearly see the management had actioned recent feedback which was very impressive. The room itself was a little tired/dated however it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel provided a travel cot for the little one which looked brand new, with a fitted sheet and cover. Overall the bedroom was great for our set up! The breakfast room was dated but it was clean, tidy and well equipped for all our needs. Again, the high chair for the little one looked brand new, with full 5 point strap - perfect! The girls had the continental breakfast offering and loved it, my wife and I had the full English. The breakfast was nice and set us up for the day. The chef/server was so attentive and polite, what a nice chap! He interacted with the kids and as busy as he was didn’t stop smiling. Overall great experience from us. Thank you.

The hotel is a little dated but the room was clean and comfortable. We were upgraded in order to be adjacent to our disabled friend and we didn’t ask for this. We had a lovely sea view. The staff were very helpful indeed. Don’t expect a palace but it was good value for money.

Perfect location for the heliport or airport.. mars & the two next door are the three closest hotels to both. The guy waited up late for me until almost 11pm when my train was delayed & they usually close at 10pm so it was really good of him. I accidentally damaged something & offered to pay for it but he wouldn't take payment...so understanding & sound of him. You can see he's investing in the place & trying to make it better, not just neglecting it like at some places. There was a radiator in the room which I could turn up or down myself & I liked that (better than those ceiling units you get in the big hotels). I was given a free room upgrade to a sea view room & it had been a steal of a price anyway so it was pretty awesome of them. I'll definitely got back because of the close proximity to the heliport but it's also very close to the beach (just over the road) & the promenade & South pier is just a short walk away.

Room was basic but just what i needed there no house keeping at hotel but to be fair i found this to be better you dont get disturbed lift in hotel very small and i need to use moobility scoota shadab would always stop what he was doing and helped me take it up in lift he was a god send nothing was to mutch bother for him really frendly as well the doirs to get mobility scoota out could be bit tricky as they were always closed but staff would help with this aswell

Absolute 10/10 for customer service! All people I had come into contact with at reception were ever so friendly, polite, welcoming & went out of their way to help you! Lovely location, very good price & very affordable. Few little DIY touches needed on the room but overall a very pleasant stay :) will be coming back!

Nice lil stay just out of the busy ness of town centre, 5 min tram journey to the tower , free parking, which was a bonus, room was clean, small, too warm for us, i just turned the rad off, was fine for the 2nd night,

The area that it is in was nice and quiet with the tram station straight over the road to take you into all areas. The staff were absolutely fantastic would definitely stay there again. Also straight over the road was an entrance to the beach which was perfect for the kids

Seaview literally was a sea view. The tram stop was directly opposite the hotel. The chef was good & I enjoyed my meal even eating more than I usually would. The road in front was busy but what do you expect with such proximity to the sea.? The lights were on which added to the enjoyment & i would stay there again despite a rather chilly shower (maybe I’m just best but I like a warm to hot shower). All in all a good hotel

It was more like a hostle not a hotel. Staine on room wall shower dripping all night. Screaming from other rooms gone midnight . Food not g00d cold warter for coffe .cold toast and the full english was bland .the cook ran of his feet could do with a server helping him so he could get the food out hot .would i stay there again. No only good thing was the bed was comfy.

It was a lovely 2 day stay, close to shops, the beach and it was quiet.A bit of paint touch up needed in the bathroom. If breakfast was available on site it was going to be a bonus. We had to go out for our breakfast which was not far off.

I hated tge breakfast the man cooking kept coughing in the kitchen while he cooked our breakfast. The room was freezing because the heating was on a time. I was very uncomfortable because of the cold. Apart from these things it was a basic room.

You get what you pay for here, it's 3 star. Big rooms, good beds, musty smell to one of our bathrooms but nothing horrendous. Friendly, helpful receptionist. Had seen complaints about the breakfast but you got cereal, juices, toast and a full English for a fiver, impossible to not be happy! Free parking all around but if you're unlucky you'll have a little walk.
