Stay Apartments Bolholt

The apartment was big enough for two people. There is a small but fully equipped kitchen (including a microwave). Access to the room and the building (at night) is via code. The assistance service is quick and efficient in case of problems. There is also a laundry room and a left-luggage room. There are some free parking spaces in front of the building. Downtown Reykjavik is within walking distance (parking in the city is problematic!).

Simple amd clear instructions sent for accessing building and room. WiFi was easily accessed. Room was very clean when I arrived. Bathroom had wet-room format. Shower always hot with great water pressure. Two bath towels and two hand towels (stayed for 3 nights) which was plenty. Apartment had a microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine with free pods, 2-hob stove. Cooking and eating utensils available in various drawers. Drinking water from the kitchen taps, so filled my bottle each day. Room had good heating, except I had a leaky radiator. Aside for that, I would stay here again as it is away from the main hustle and bustle, but easily accessible via public transport (10mins) or long walk (30mins) to central location.

I loved the access to attractions in the city. 30 minute walk tops! Would stay here again. They don’t clean your room while you stay unless you pay a fee. I wasn’t aware of that. It would be advantageous for Stay to provide a broom and dustpan for guests who do not want to pay the extra fee. Our floor was dirty and I was cleaning the best I could.

The room was large and comfortable. It was self check-in so check your email for instructions. We used the luggage storage both before we checked in and again before our ride to the airport came and picked us up so that was a nice feature to have access to. The beds were comfy and there was a small kitchen with pots and pans and dishes. We got the family size room and we were comfortable during the time we were there.

There is no one on site but communication through email worked well. the apartment was spacious, well furnished. kitchen was nice and well equiped. Fridge was small but not too small, there is no freezer or oven. microwave was little but served it's purpose. The view from our apartment was beautiful. they have a laundry room for laundry, fresh towels and toilet paper. beds and quilts were very comfortable.the only bad thing was no storage, lived out of suitcase. we would definately book again.

Great home base for our vacation. We stayed 5 Knights and it was perfect place for day trips around Iceland. Very clean and free easy parking. Plus killer water pressure!

Room was nice and clean, didn’t see any staff as we were busy out and about but they provided clean towels when required. Would definitely stay again.

Great location- we walked to downtown and the touristy area in a mile. Easy parking, apartment was well appointed and spacious. The bathroom shower did not look like it was cleaned after the previous tenant, though.

Stayed in the family studio. Conveniently located, only few minutes drive to the center, but the cleaning wasn't done properly -- There were stuff that left by the previous guests in the bathroom and the bed sheet has stains. You can ask for towel changing but at least per two days. Would be nice if the stuff can pay more attention on cleaning in the future.

Clean room, sofa bed is comfortable. Check in and out was easy.

Das Zimmer war schön groß, das Bad leider sehr klein, enthielt zu wenig Haken und Abstellmöglichkeiten. Beim Duschen wurde durch die ebenerdige Dusche der komplette Raum geflutet. Die Sauberkeit war stark Verbesserungswürdig, überall Staub, das Bad schwamm beim Einzug, die Seifenschale enthielt verkrustete Seifenreste von Vorgängern.

We really enjoyed our stay in Iceland! The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable — just what we needed after long days of sightseeing. Although there was no staff on location, everything was clearly communicated and easy to navigate with self-check-in. It felt safe, private, and peaceful. Would absolutely stay again!

This place was perfect for 2 ppl with lots of luggage and wanting some space. Was clean-ish and upon closer inspection the bathroom was quite dirty but we easily wiped it up with some Lysol wipes. The place was in a quiet area but the upstairs apartment was very easily heard with partying 3 of the 4 nights we were there. The last night , the elevator stopped working. We were in the 5th floor, which meant that we had to lug a huge amount of luggage ( we are here for 3 weeks) down 5 floors !! It was brutal !

It would have been a great stay because everything was perfect...BUT the sheets and covers had disgusting stains. This is unacceptable.

Upon arrival, I still didn’t have my apartment number or code to get into the building. I emailed the management company before flying out to Iceland because the reservation stated I would receive all of my check in info 24-48 hours prior to arrival. That did not happen. When I landed, I still had no response. I had to call on my way from airport to figure it out. I was stressing! The complex was pretty close to the city center. The room was far from elevators. It states that it is an “apartment” but don’t be fooled. It’s a hotel room and a small one at that. Two small twin beds pushed together - no queen or king. The beds were very uncomfortable- if you rolled over a little you were in the space between the two beds. It was annoying. The bathroom is small. No room to wash your face or do your makeup. Tiny sink. The shower was very small and had a shower curtain which always makes me uneasy. Anything other than a shower curtain. The “kitchen” was a small wall next to the door with a sink a couple of cabinets, a mini fridge and microwave. When I was finally contacted with my room number, I was able to go to my room. I opened the door and it was a SAUNA inside. Unbearable. I had to leave my door open with my suitcase helping it to stay open because I seriously couldn’t stay in the room with that heat. I tried to open the windows but they would only open an inch! I shut off the heater which was left on HIGH. Despite all my efforts the room continued to remain so hot

The bathroom was small and dark. I did not like the tiny shower and shower curtain. I also tripped over the wood threshold into the bathroom several times. There were steps down to the main room area. The room was very warm which made it difficult to sleep. Also loud traffic noise.

Great communication with straightforward access via key codes, sent via email before arrival. The studio apartment was well appointed and comfortable. Good but basic cooking facilities and comfortable beds. Parking was easy outside the block. The only down side was it was very hot so we had the small windows open for some cool air.

It was okay, room was a little on the tight size so lacking space. No where to put any clothing a part from a couple of coat hangers on the coat hooks. Lived out of suitcase.

Great place to stay. It’s an apartment with hotel vibes. Within walking distance to everything. The only negative is how small the shower is. Other than that it was a great place.

Good location - about a 20-25 minute stroll into the centre. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchenette in the room and a good shower. Quiet and nice view over the snow covered mountains from our room. No staff so it’s self check in but they sent comprehensive instructions and we got into our room without any issues. Rooms are a little tired but very clean and comfortable Plenty of free parking outside. A branch of the fabulous Braud bakery is across the road for delicious pastries and coffee and not mobbed like the ones in the centre.

Apartment was very nice and well thought out. Very easy process in and out. Arrived past midnight and was a breeze entering the building and apartment with the codes provided. Communication with property manager was also top notch.

Everything was pretty much as described. Though we got a little hiccup that the door code we were given to access our room was wrong. Be prepared to have to call their phone number as I saw other reviews sharing the same experience. Otherwise, it was all good.

Asked for early check in but got “computer says no “ answer. Not one minute earlier.

Check in experience was miserable. Room code did not work and when I called the apartment support, they said my room number had changed and provided me with new code stating they had sent an email about the change. But no change information was sent to me

Poor communication. Arrived at property to find out door code does not work. Finally able to speak to a person after one hour, received another door code that worked, however the apartment was already preoccupied. Boholt informed us they do not have a room/apartment for us even though I had booked and paid on June 20, 2025.

The room is not ready at check-in time. We waited for more than 30 minutes until the room is ready. The bathroom is super tiny. They did not replace my towels even upon request. Not a comfortable stay.

Wir hatten kein Email mit dem Zugangscode erhalten und waren Vorort etwas ratlos. Am Telefon bekamen wir dann die entsprechenden Informationen und konnten unser Zimmer beziehen. Das war gross, sauber und hatte eine Küche mit Kaffee Maschine. Die Unterkunft ist etwas ausserhalb vom Zentrum. Aber die Stadt lässt sich bei einem längeren Spaziergang gut erkunden. Wir hatten eine Nacht gebucht. Für uns hat es gepasst.

Convenient spot if you have a car. Easy code-based checkin. Plentiful street parking. About 2 km from downtown, so not really in the heart of the city; you'll probably want to drive or take a bus. There is a fantastic bakery (Brauð) in the gas station just a few meters away.

Excellent place! Easy to reach all roads and go out of the town or just walk around in Reykjavik.

Very good place to stay clean easy to find .we took day trips from Hilton Nordic which is across the street stop .

Really fab place, we were close to all roads and the centre, free parking and cooking facilities and table and toiletries Only issue was there no communication where to put rubbish (just a sign on the wall next to instructions for bed settee) would help as we took 3 days to realise where to put it !

Very neat and clean apartment. Free parking outside the front door was always available. Grocery store close by. “Downtown” is a little far to walk - we drove there.I would definitely stay here again. Only negative - I would have liked a coffee maker instead of the espresso machine.

Nous avons voyagé en famille de 2 adultes et 2 enfants (10 et 14 ans). Nous avions loué une voiture pour pouvoir visiter la région. La localisation de l’hôtel était très adéquate. La chambre est bien équipée et comme le coût des restaurants en Islande est exorbitant, nous avons profité de la présence de plusieurs épiceries à proximité pour manger à la chambre après nos longues journées de visite. Nous recommandons fortement!

Good location with free parking and WiFi available. We went with family of 4 with two teenage boys. The rooms are compact and just sufficient. Kitchen is good but no dish washer. There is a small fridge. We were able to cook. Sugar was missing so we had to grab some things for grocery. Overall a good place.

Overall we enjoyed our stay the studio it was clean and quiet within easy walking distance of the centre or alternatively there were lots of buses. The kitchen was fairly well equipped but what really let it down was no mugs! Considering the place seemed to have been furnished by ikea why no mugs?

Apartment was very clean, stocked with everything we needed (microwave, toaster, stove, sink, fridge, coffee machine, tea kettle, pots and pans, plates, towels, shampoo conditioner and other soaps, etc) for a quick trip and all at a reasonable price. Location was walkable to our pickup locations for tours, downtown area, and grocery options. If you want to use laundry, you need to have coins. Would recommend to someone who wants to save money by cooking meals and not eating out as much.
