Comfort Suites Springfield I-70

The swimming pool was closed. No discount was offered and we were not told in advance. This appeared not to be recent and looked like it was not going to be short term. The lobby had muddy foot prints from the time we checked in and was still there 15 hours later. The fridge needed defrosted, the hall light flickered constantly , the phone in the room didn’t work so we had to walk to the front desk to communicate with them, some power outlets didn’t work properly. We had a note slid under the door saying we wouldn’t get maid service between night one and two due to a do not disturb sign on the door and we had that sign removed by 8:00am. We had to request said service The most disturbing thing was our key cards wouldn’t work after the first night. When I went to the front desk and presented the cards the lady just asked the room number and activated them without asking my name or for any identification. This is a very concerning security issue. Anyone who kept a card at checkout could access any room at will if this is a regular habit. Overall management or ownership appears to lack pride. It was not what I expected from a Comfort Suites. I will likely be staying in that area in the future but will likely be looking for a different hotel because this was very disappointing.

Room was clean and spacious. Nice breakfast. The pool area is small but nice. Unfortunately the elevator broke while we were there and our room was close to the stairs so every time someone came through the door slammed and it was terribly loud. And then when we left we had to carry all our stuff down 4 flights.

There are lots of best’s for this comfort inn best pool, best breakfast, and best of all they had a parking garage for motorcycles. There is one strange thing. No rooms have toilet paper dispenser. In fact mine had no toilet paper at all. All in all great place to stay

Small bathrooms, small gym area and no hot tub were areas with left with more to be desired. Fair price and clean.

Great staff, breakfast had a good selection, property was well maintained, pool and fitness center were on par, room was spacious and clean. The only inconvenience was only one elevator. I would still recommend to everyone.

I was a guest there for four days and was assigned a room on the fourth floor. After day one, the elevator was out of service and remained out of service for the duration of my stay. Being on the fourth floor for three nights with no elevator service was very inconvenient. I probably won’t stay there again.

Elevator broke after I checked in. I was assigned to the fourth floor and had to use stairs for THREE days/nights because the elevator never got repaired. I probably won’t stay there again.

Breakfast was good, room was clean hotel overall was clean, only complaint was the water in the pool was pretty cool.

For Springfield, newer and nice conditions, convenient to I-70, but adjacent to highway was noisy. Easily hear other guests. Toilet was literally sized for children. Nice breakfast and pool. Parking lot lights super bright.

Clean hotel with a great location and friendly staff. The pool was clean but the water was very cold! Nice breakfast, well stocked and clean.

Floors were very dirty in the room. I stayed here three years ago and the motel was in much better condition.

Our room was clean but smelled with some cleaning chemicals. Fortunately front desk swiftly helped assigning different room which had no issues.

Breakfast was good, clean area. Room was terrible. Smelled moldy, damp. Sheets were old( thin, balled up material) floor was sticky/dirty, toilet leaked water everytime we flushed. Bed was sagged in middle. We will try a different hotel next time

We stayed at this location which is under renovation. Every evening and Sunday morning the lobby smelled heavily of Marijuana. Breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful.

we stayed twice in this hotel over a one week period. I room and the breakfast were ok BUT the floors were filthy on both occasions. After walking around the room barefoot, the shower floor was dirty from residue transferred from the floor. We did have the floor mopped one day and it was better. At lease some of the dirt had to come off the carpet. This morning one of the bath towels delivered yesterday was dirty as was the floor matt. This is by far the dirtiest hotel/motel in which I've ever stayed. We weren't expecting the Ritz but were expecting aclean room.

Very dated and the room smelled. It had laminate flooring in the room and when I went to put my shoes on the bottom of my feet were grossly filthy. The breakfast sucked! The area was just scary. And restaurants are very limited.

I would not recommend this Comfort Suites. The place did not feel clean and when I entered the elevator, there was trash and spills on the floor. The room doors were dirty - as if someone used a dirty rag to wipe them down. The room reeked of cigarette smoke and there was dust on the counters in the room. The room was very run down, which I could have dealt with had it been clean. The comforter had pulls in it. I will say the sheets appeared to be clean and the mattress was comfortable, but that's the only positive thing I can say.

The original room had bugs and stains, super gross. Then they tried to upgrade us to a jacuzzi room to make things better. However, that room was disgusting as well. I have pictures of the clogged filter with hair in the jacuzzi and MORE nasty big stains on the pull out. I was tired and it was just one night. Wouldn’t recommend or stay again, even for a free stay.

Cockroaches and our keys didnt work each time had to go to desk we left early due to cockroaches.

This hotel was clean. Rooms are large and well equipped for the price. However, our room smelled like stale cigarettes (in a non smoking hotel). The shower curtain would not stay closed risking water all over the bathroom. The sink area and bathroom have motion sensor lights which are very irritating when getting up in the night as the full lights come on in your eyes whether you want them to or not.

It hotel was great but the mattress had no support and our backs band the metal bottom around bed base makes noise every time you get in our out of bed

The bed was horrible. The room was very clean but was really loud from the highway traffic. The curtains wouldn't close so the room was very bright. I couldn't sleep.

The room was nice but the metal under the bed made a lot of noise every time we rolled over. Also the elevator was next door and made lots of noise.

The hotel has clearly had some cosmetic updates but could certainly use some real TLC. Counters and mirrors in bathrooms were new but the vanity itself and other features were old. Motion sensor lights in hallway outside the bathroom were annoying as they woke up others in the room when someone went to the bathroom at night. Lights near the beds had reading lights attached that didn’t work. Outlet on the nightstand was broken and only had USB ports.

Our bed made noises when you moved on it.

This was without a doubt the worst bed I’ve ever slept on. It was too soft and the frame was made of metal which made a metal popping noise with every move. My back was hurting so bad because it was just too soft. I was told the hotel got all new mattresses but as you can see from the photo this was not new. Bathroom was so small that you had to maneuver around the toilet just to close the door. Walls are thin as we heard our neighbor on his phone plus we could hear the voice of the person he was talking to. Doors are loud when shut so we heard multiple doors slamming. And the breakfast was lousy and barely warm. The only plus about this stay were the fresh hot waffles you make yourself! Don’t waste your money at this hotel. Pay the extra $ and stay at the Hampton inn next door.

The AC in the room was preset to 72 degrees and locked or broken. Very inconvenient for getting a good night sleep. Hot and not cool enough. Light bulb in the stand was burned out.

when we got to room the phone and air conditioning where not turned on. The front desk came up immediatly and fixed problem

Tv wouldn't work at first but staff finally came up and got it working. When we checked out, no receipt was given. Said it would be emailed but never did send!! Breakfast was great and rooms clean and bug free.

Where shall I begin. I had reserved 2 rooms. The young man at the front desk gave us rooms next to each other. At midnight-our phone rings/ they say/ this is the front desk. What is your name? They said to come to the front desk and said we are not supposed to be in that room and if we don’t leave/ he is calling the police. He kept insisting- how did we get into that room/ u r not supposed to be there. We showed him the key card he gave us, He put into the computer the wrong room- but instead of profusely apologizing / said we can go back into the room. It was unbelievable. The rudeness of this guy/ after waking us up at midnight and insisting that this is not our room/ / this guy needs to go. Not to mention some kids running up and down the hall most of the night. I suggest u find another place. It is not worth the aggravation

Nice property and quite busy. Make plain what you want in respect to room cleaning. Guy busted in when the do not disturb was up after we told him no maid service was wanted. Told him again no thanks as we were on a work meeting. That was on Friday. After that, no attempt was made to clean even with the do not disturb sign off the door. On Sunday we told the maid to please clean the room. Not clean when we came back that night. Called the desk for clean towels and they had us come and get them. After they sent us back up to get the dirty ones. First time this has been like this.

Staff was very nice , helpful and welcoming.

We didn't think the staff was very friendly... Wouldn't have hurt them to SMILE when we checked in and out. They would just stare at you when they saw you later, very uncomfortable. We thought they were from another country and could not speak English. We were 600 miles from home.

No one st desk to check you in. Stood there for 15 mins. When checking out i waited 15 mins and no one came. Ended up leaving key on desk. Poor service

As my rating indicates - my experience was just okay. I guess I had hoped for better when I booked. Nothing dramatic - just annoying. Check in good - then when I entered the room there was a very strong smell of disinfectant (never went away over two days). The remote for the TV didn't work. Got new batteries, but still didn't work. Was told to turn it on manually - which turned it on but remote still didn't work. Fine if you want to watch the channel it happened to be tuned to. Mentioned they could fix it when out the first day - was not fixed. So now I was just looking for things to be annoyed with. Drawers would not stay shut. The faucet in bathroom hit the mirror, so could not be turned on completely. Ice bucket in room - but no ice machine on our floor. As I said, was fine - but not excellent.

Convenient loacation

The facility was in an ideal location for me. It was close to several dining options and located in a quiet and safe area.

I love their waffles. Clean and comfortable room. Safe location right off the highway.

Comfy beds, clean room, couch and kitchenette in room... Nice breakfast with protein (eggs, peanut butter, sausage, etc.). Convenient location in a safe area.

We had a good experience at this hotel. Our event was in Cedarville, but the drive was easy and only took about 10 minutes. Glad we choose Springfield over Xenia or Dayton. It was the right choice.

Excllent location right off the freeway. Property is very clean and well maintained. Excellent.value for money. The only downside is that you can hear the cars on the freeway next to the hotel. I imagined the car noise sounded like HUuuuu. And I fell right asleep!

We stayed on the parking lot side, which was fine. Glad to not have been on the freeway side which was much noisier.

The hotel was convenient and clean. Breakfast was good. It was located right off the highway so there was a bit of traffic noise but that was to be expected. Overall it was a great place to stay for a night.

This nice hotel is conveniently located off I-70 and highway 72, just 15 minutes from Cedarville University. The room was clean, well stocked, and comfortable for an overnight stay. Having a microwave, refrigerator, and sink in the room was helpful.

It was very easy to check in and check out. Breakfast offers many options!

This Comfort Suites appeared very well-maintained. My room was clean and pleasant-appearing. The breakfast had a mix of hot and continental-style selections.

I love their waffles. Clean and comfortable room. Safe location right off the highway.

Good b-fast!!

I had a good stay in a nice, large room with plenty of amenities. Breakfast was also quite good. Scrambles eggs, sausage, toast. There was also cereal and oatmeal to choose from. This hotel is perfectly located for the I-70 traveler, just off the exit.

We come twice a year for the antique show. Always chose to stay with this hotel because of great breakfast, comfort beds, stays always nice , & our beds are always made daily .

Had a great stay. The pool was clean and the breakfast was superb! Will definitely be back to comfort suites!
