It was good enough for 2 days but I wouldn’t want it for more than that, no elevators, building hallway was filthy, not very appealing and the room was not much comforting, the lights in the bathroom wasn’t even working I have to use the room light to help myself, and If you need a microwave and or refrigerator you have to ask for it and pay extra of course. Is ok if you need it urgently like I was at that time, if you bring kids I’ll recommend you look for something more accommodating.

For a one night stay it was very good, the rooms were clean and the area was quiet. For food theres literally a Denny's at the driveway up to the hotel, parking was easy and i highly recommend this place for short stays.

Very odd access to the hotel. The hotel itself was "OK". I'm guessing it was at capacity as there was NO PARKING when I checked in. It was a late check in but seriously ZERO parking. I had to go to the street and the driveway to the hotel is long and steep. I will not stay at this location again.

Room wasn't clean properly. After inspecting the room, I took pictures of plenty of pet hair behind the door, under the bed, and by the desk. I even found a pee stain behind the front door. We understand the motel is pet friendly but a thorough cleaning was expected. Exterior noise was clearly audible due to the lack of noise cancelling walls. Coffee and tea were offered but no hours were displayed or written anywhere. A shopping cart with trash was visible entering the driveway of the building, as well as behind which portrayed a transient encampment.

One of our rooms smelled strongly of the Mexican cleaning product, so much so that my dog smelled of the product. Our other room's bathtub was dirty. There was a ring around the tub. I definitely used my sandals when taking a shower because it was a very hot day, and I had no choice but to shower. My daughter didn't want to use the bathroom at all. The air-conditioner didn't work. Kept turning off even though we didn't put it on auto. The beds were small. Everything seemed dingy. The pictures didn't reflect the actual room.

The towels were either stained or dirty, luckily walmart nearby so we bought our own towels. also i dont think housekeeping cleans the shower as a lot of human hair in the shower on walls and tub, and if you bump the bed or slide it a tad bit over under the bed is dusty and dirty. fridge had an iced up freezer and we found out its because the fridge door doesnt stay shut we put our suit case up against it.

The check in process was easy and attendant was helpful. The room was gross. From a very dirty and grimy bathtub to hair on the towels, which were also very worn out, to the dirty sheets with stains and a loud bed metal frame, the hotel was a 1/10. You can hear the guests Nextdoor on both sides and people out until 2am it was very unpleasant. Would not recommend unless you have no other option.

This place is very dirty! There was trash in the walkways, the toilet in my room had a ring around it. I called the receptionist to see about getting it cleaned, she said the staff were on a tight schedule so they would not get to it until the next day…! Poor customer service. Mold on window sills and bathroom tub. Vegetation growing on the roof… This place is a zero.

The front window in our room did not seal correctly. Needs weatherstripping bad. Sounded like the cars on freeway were 20 feet away due to huge gap at frame. Very loud! Almost $500 a night is too expensive to have issues like this. Staff was nice and polite.

The walls were paper thin. The bathroom tile was old and gross. The sink was clogged. The beds weren’t level. Room itself was clean and tidy. We walked past a lady who told us there were hairs (private) in her bed. So she was switching rooms because of it. Outside of hotel was nice and staff was pleasant.

Check in & check out was super easy. Room was definitely not it, bed squeeked and was uncomfortable. Toilet was not leveled made noise every time you sat. The worst I think was the noise from the above rooms, you could hear every step, & unfortunately our upstairs neighbors were up until 3am Didn’t get much sleep neither did our 4 kiddos. Will not stay again. Overall rating Poor.

The rooms were so tiny that it was almost impossible for two people to fit in a room with two double beds. Beds were comfortable though. There was no space in between the two beds - maybe six inches. And if someone sat in the chair at the desk then it blocked the door. Quiet.

Clean friendly staff Walking distance to Dennys. If you prefer not to drive somewhere to eat. I booked a standard queen room not realizing there wasn't a coffee maker. Which it turned out ok because we were right around the corner from the office which had fresh coffee every morning. Also no hairdryer. I had to borrow one from the office. Would stay again, but would book a suite which has a coffee maker.

I, as a person that could be classified as disabled, struggled to get to the check in lobby, I was immediately attended to and provided an accessible and secluded room. So the staff was accommodating. Next I found the room to very clean. This facility is adjacent to a freeway but it situated so no highway noise or other disturbances would affect a visitor. Compared with others in the Motel 6 chain, I felt a greater sense of security. Also, the price was extremely affordable, considering its location in a pricy tourist area. It’s a pet friendly facility. There is an adjacent Denny’s restaurant with a convenience and gas station adjacent to the property. For visitors to the Monterey Peninsula, I’d highly recommend it

Decent price. Great location. Right off the freeway. Very close to the beach. Clean rooms! Comfortable beds. Staff was friendly. Denny's is right next door. I'd stay here again. My only complaint is the water pressure in the room. I've never encountered such poor water pressure. The shower was unusable, but there was a tub. So I was still able to get clean.

The Motel 6 was about 10 minutes North of Monterey. The hotel was a few blocks from the ocean, which made for a nice walk before I had to go to my meetings. The room was clean and met my needs for an overnight stay. It had the basics, was comfortable and I felt safe as a single woman traveling. It was easy to park and there is a Denny’s at the other end of the parking lot, as well as a starbucks down the street.

Haven’t stayed in a Motel 6 in 15 years, I was pleasantly surprised at how they have improved. Room was large, beds good, nice clean floors, 3 pillows on each bed that were queen size. Staff very friendly and efficient. Would definitely stay again. Only negative was no coffee maker in room. Had to go to office.
