This hotel has very limited TV service with no menu or guide. Appears to be a flop house for low income population. Couples fighting in the hall. Pit bulls and assortment of large aggressive dogs in the hall all night long. Clean. Friendly staff, but like living in a horrible inner city slum.

Behind the hotel building there is an events center/nightclub that starts playing wall vibrating music until 2am. It was awful!!! Whole family was awake until the music stopped at 2am.

Property had no working pool like the site stated. No onsite restaurant, no infant cots or cribs. Everything was old and rusted and the motel stank so bad. Tried to turn the heat on and it started smoking. Heated up my food and the glass plate in the microwave shattered. No amount of money makes these conditions ok. Staff was respectful. Property needs major updating.

Disgusting place. Bug infestation. Armed robbery occurred over the weekend. Absolutely no parking due to bar next door. Children roaming the hallways, slamming doors, running up and down the hallways all hours of the night. Would never recommend to anyone.

The property was okay, first room I've stayed in that did not have carpet. The bed squeaked. But the worse part is the hotel is next to a club. I heard the dull thud of the music until 2 am. My room was on the front and end furtherest away from the front desk. I went out to my car at 1:30 to het sleeping pills and there were many young people hanging out in the parking lot. Happily, no damage to my car, but i did not feel comfortable at this hotel.

This place was absolutely disgusting. Yes Bed bugs and roaches. Got my deposit back and waiting on the manager to contact me for my room refund. Checked in at 10:40pm left @ 12am. Was told management will contact me but that was after the night clerk whom I have on video tell me that the manager is too busy to care about a complaint about his property. I have videos and pic on bed bugs and roaches running on walls.

I booked the room for 1 night for New Year eve. We really only needed it to crash after attending a party. The bedding was filthy. The front desk did give us new sheets but they too were filthy and not the right size (King Size was needed they gave us full size) Went to ask for the right size and was still given the wrong size but they were clean. There were roaches in the bathroom. The towels looked as though they were washed with no bleach. The dirt stains were still there from whoever used them before. The curtains had 2 way tape on the length edge side to hold it to the wall. The ironing board wouldn't stay open past floor level (which we had to get from the front desk it wasn't in the room). The ENTIRE Hallway smelled of marijuana. Just bypass this hotel. The only nice thing in that room were the lamp shades which were still in the plastic and appeared to be new. I am a believer of you get what you pay for but come on. That hotel look like it should be paid for by the hour. I would NOT recommend this place to stay not even if its just for sleeping!!!!

God aweful tried to check out and get refunded but they kept telling the support team at hotels.com that the manager was not there yet staff never changed and I saw the manager multiple times while they were saying there was no manager. Where to start first room… bed bugs… second room just as yuck plus roaches scurrying around

Hallway smells of smoke. Side door to outside pried open with a rock. Smoke coming inside from smokers outside the door. Bedsheets looks dirty and unwashed, smells dirty and wrinkle. Room and hallway smells muggy or moisty. Overall could not sleep on the bed, checked out and went to a different hotel. Advise...demolish the hotel and rebuild to standard.

Not a good place to stay. Our room should not have been rented out by the property. Among other things, we had horrible animal smell, holes in the bathroom door, mold on ceiling in the bathroom, cigarette burns on the comforter and more. We were originally going to stay 4 nights but checked out the first morning, refund or no refund. I can share pictures and videos if anyone would like to see it.

Very loud nusic playing all night till 2am from the restaurant or hall attached to it. The check in people or owners talked ina different laungauage when i went to check in half hout early. She came back to me and sais soeey we dont have any rooms clean yet you will have to come back. I wont stay there again

The room was gigantic and clean, the only thing ( and I usually don’t care about this) was that I had no shampoo or body wash etc and that was pretty lacking in the room. But 10/10 would totally stay here again! Very cheap for the quality, it was great!

The hotel is very outdated. Shelves in the shower were coming off, looked like someone had just put calking on it. I think this place is more of an extended stay , like people live there and pay a daily rate. I could hear children running up and find the hall after midnight. The phone in my room did not work.

Beds were hard and the pillows were too. The hallway was crazy busy all the time it was hard to sleep but it was cheap and wasn’t that bad. I don’t recommend if you have kids.

It was horrible. We tried tolerating for the night but the smell was so bad that we had to switch hotels the next day. My daughter was sneezing the whole night almost having an allergic reaction to the smell in the room. The next morning the water was shut off saying there was an issue with the water pump. We asked for a refund after the first night since we weren’t going to stay the second night they said no. They also don’t have a room service number or a customer service number. They didn’t even have the owners number. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! Spend more money and choose a better hotel than this one. Front desk doesn’t seem to have any experience.

First of all the people checking me in had an attitude which I didn’t appreciate. Couldn’t understand her and couldn’t hear her through the glass. Homeless were at one of the doors! Someone was banging on one of the doors to let him in and when I tried to call front desk phone had no dial tone! Came to find out from other people their phone didn’t work either. The whole hotel smells like SKUNKWEED! And I find it funny that there is a sign in the room that says No vape, No smoking and No WEED! Everytime I flushed the toilet the stopper wouldn’t go down so I had to manually push it down! The light in the bathroom in my room 132 was full of bugs! And the day I checked in there were 4 cop cars at the door! Cop told me he wouldn’t let his mother stay there! I am from Pennsylvania and just thought the Red Roof was a good place to stay! Never again! Very disappointed! Asked for a refund and she just walked away from me.

I was upset with this stay!! We had a double bed room 2 guests with only one towel set. Could never get the extra towel set. 2 adults cannot use the same towel and washcloths!! Had to find a Family Dollar and buy towels

We had many issues with our stay at Red Roof Inn Wilmington New Castle on Wed. 3/29/2023. Just about everything in the room was very old, worn-out, or didn't work. The bedclothes were all dirty or stained and had burn holes in them. We asked for clean sheets which we put on ourselves but they didn't look any better. One of the pillow cases was shredded on the open end but was tucked into itself so you couldn't see it until it was removed. The hotel should be ashamed to actually use sheets and pillowcases that were too shabby for a dog shelter! Pillows were small, lumpy and pretty much unusable. The metal table lamps were very rusty, and one had no light bulb. The AC/HEATER unit did not work at all. The closet door was broken and askew. There was an empty plastic gatorade bottle under the mattress at the headboard end, which we discovered when we changed our own sheets. The amenities promised a coffee maker in the room, but there was none. In other words, the housekeeping and cleaning of the room was shamefully poor! Especially in contrast to a brand new looking, shiny, and well-appointed entrance lobby and front desk. The staff brought us the requested set of sheets, but showed little concern for our complaints and discomfort. Final straw - the manager was never available to talk to that night or by phone when we called twice the next day. We would appreciate hotels.com looking into this terrible treatment and service we received at this hotel.

There was no one at the front desk when i checked in.After 15 to 18 min wait, i finally get a room key..go to the room and the key does not work. I had to go back and forth THREE times before i got a key to work. Then i had to jiggle the key to get it to work

Pulled in with friends, felt very unsafe called tried to cancel. They refused told them how unsafe and unsavory the area was and they tried to make excuses. Expedia did try to help us. Unsuccessful will be looking at other ways of getting our refund. Do not stay here very unsafe. Wish we had taken a picture.

I was warned not to stay here because of people actually live there for various reasons. I stayed there because it was close to my destination. The walls were chipped there was rust everywhere there was a hole in the curtain. And the kicker was the all Night party thrown in the room next door room 228 to be exact. Music blasting and loudness in the room and hallways. I used a coupon I wished I used it on another hotel

This motel is located behind a cemetery on a dead end road. The only options for food within walking distance are the vending machines. Stayed here because I was on a budget. Do not recommend unless you’re homeless, have an extra $60 and want a roof over your head. Just plain Gross! The smell in the hallways were gagging, other guests were especially loud and disrespectful, guests openly using drugs outside, domestic fights in the parking lot….if you’re broke… stay here. They did have hot water and a chair to use as extra security under the door handle though.

Very weird location, between a highway and a cemetery. You can't really walk to any place to eat, but places aren't a far drive. The room felt like it was in a basement even though it was not - decent room, clean, large but no atmosphere. Fine for an overnight if you are in the area.

Booked room for family of four. Room had only two towels. Husband went to front desk to get two more towels and lady said it was policy that we only get two towels. We got the towels but she wasn’t nice about it and did not want to give us one towel each- we got the hotel so we could shower after a long day at the dirt race track! One of the Pillows was disgusting - I walked it down to front, also showed her picture of security lock hanging off door. She was bothered, not at all helpful. The room had outlet covers broken and on the floor. Holes in wall and table we moved in front of doors for safety was sticky. (There was a second door connecting to another room and that lock was not secure either). The Bar/restaurant next door was having Halloween party and the music was crazy loud, but the least of the problems for this stay. We checked out early morning and a different woman at the front was kind and apologetic. She took a photo of broken lock and said she would have maintenance take care of it for the next guest. We won’t be staying at another red roof again.

This property used to be clean and safe. It is neither now. It once had a restaurant, it longer does. The rooms used to be well appointed, now they are poorly decorated, less comfortable and downright dismal. I wouldn't recommend a stay here.

We didn't get enough towels and washcloths. Even left a note, but it was ignored. The coffee pot had the wrong coffee filter holder and new coffee wasn't left every morning.

Girl at front desk pleasant Room didn't have hair dryer, coffee machine nor microwave. Floors sticky and dirty. No comforter on bed (had two sheets for covers), one bed missing pillow cases (called downstairs brought up 2 pillows with cases), couple pillows were so thin had them folded in half in cases, not enough towels for 2 people, lamp shades damaged, usually give you 2 cards we only rec'd one, curtains ripped, doors entering building were very dirty, people hanging around by side door smoking no where did I see a butt disposal stand, parking lot had trash flying around, beer caps and butt ends. No restaurant open on premises as advertised with a menu...but hasn't opened yet??? Killed 3 roaches in bathroom. And for some reason on 7/31 they charged our account $1.50??
