Delightful hotel in a perfect area for walking to town and restaurants

Clean room, comfortable bed, a bit overpriced for what it was but great location within walking distance to shops and restaurants.

I rarely write a negative review about our hotel stays, but we were extremely disappointed with Casa Cody. The grounds were beautiful and charming, but the room we stayed in, was extremely small, very dark, had no seating to speak of. The bathroom had absolutely no counter space at all. And the only place to set your toiletries was on a shelf above my head. We were supposed to be given an upgrade and a bottle of wine upon check-in, but that did not happen. The bar was supposed to be open on Saturday night until 10 o’clock, but there was no one working there when we came by around nine. Additionally, we called the hotel to see if we could get a bottle of wine for a room, and nobody answered the phone.The location is in great proximity to downtown Palm Springs, but I cannot recommend this hotel.

The Olympic suite/cottage had an odd musty smell. The rugs needed to be cleaned as they kept shedding hair. At night, the bugs came out around the suite (must have been attracted to light). The primary bathroom toilet got stopped up after one use. The secondary toilet seat had a chip in it. Overall, while the suite's esthetic appeal/decor was nice, it needs a major deep cleaning and improved maintenance. While the staff attempted to address the smell, the other items did not become apparent until later in the evening before bed and the next morning prior to check out. I was thankful I only booked the room for one night. Maybe the other rooms are nicer.
