Hotel is in a great location but the walls are very thin and you're often woke by people speaking loudly in the mornings and only 1 shared bathroom for all paying people in the whole hotel? Very unusual

The description was not clear about shared bathroom. There is no elevator, take this into account if you have heavy luggage. Place is not clean, there is some mold in the walls and objects, and powder. The location is very good.

As with most hotels in this area the rooms are tiny and there in no elevator and no A/C. The room did come with a good fan and a large opening window which faced the back gardens. The room is nicely decorated and equipped with kettle and fridge. The hot water was hit and miss at times. I would stay there again, maybe not in July.

Room still had trash from previous guests and the only bathroom/shower was down 2 floors and was constantly wet and didn’t look like it had been cleaned for days. the room was tiny but It did have a fan in it which was great as it was quite hot and the wifi was high speed and very reliable

Didn’t pay a substantial amount but expected the basics to be clean. Found bodily hair in the twin beds on bed covers and bedsheets and had to go and complain. Disgusting. Staff passed it off as hair from washing. What does that even mean?? Pubic hair. Gross. Do not stay here. Filthy. I sat in the room and watched the guy begrudgingly change them.

The Room was messy, on the ventilator there where leyers of dust, under the bed they clean last time a long ago. there was only one bath/shower room for all guests. the wall in room 303 where full of nasty stuff, it felt like a thrid world country snd not london

The service was very poor, the place was very dirty, the room was extremely small and dirty, and even had a dirty coffee cup that someone else had drunk. The reception staff yells, receives people from their circle, and talks until late, preventing guests from sleeping. They also smoke in the reception area. My room had no windows, and I almost got cigarette smoke poisoning. They don't clean the room either, and the shared bathroom is filthy.

The staff never answered back my messages through the platform before my travel. They were very cold with no interest in welcoming you. The hotel has no room service unless is asked for it every day ..!!!

Room was very small, almost filled by a double bed which was reasonably comfortable. Pillows were very hard. No window in the basement room. I cannot recall this being made clear at the time of booking. Sheets were immaculate and room was reasonably clean although there were stains on the walls. Plenty of tea and coffee available. The hotel is very close to a bus stop and only a few minutes walk to Victoria Station. For my three night stay it suited my needs. The staff were not at all friendly. Whenever I walked through reception I always said hello or good morning, mostly I was ignored with only the occasional response usually lacking any enthusiasm. When I asked for a second towel for my hair I was told they only gave one towel per guest. I was however, reluctantly given a second towel.

Functional, but tiny room. My son called it - it was like playing the game OverCooked: the beds fill so much of the room that there is barely room for one person to walk any path, so we had to coordinate all actions while in the room, to let people move around. Lack of AC was a problem for us, but probably not an issue except in summer. Note that not all rooms have a private bathroom, but ours did.

It does what it says on the tin. Basement box room no windows, ideal for me as a loan traveller going to a gig. 5 minute walk from Victoria stations. Not sure I’d try showering in the shared bathroom as it’s a low arched ceiling and the shower head isn’t connected to anything. Friendly check in. A pub and takeaways and restaurant on your doorstep. Will definitely stay again.

Basic but clean. Bed comfortable. I stayed in the single en-suite. It was a very small room but you get what you pay for. Had everything it needed, hot powerful shower, no leaks, and all very clean and actually had a small double in the room. Bit noisy when people go up the stairs right outside your room. But as I said, can’t complain when you are paying less than £60 for central London.

Decent budget hotel in a nice area of London, good value for money. The bed was comfy and they let me leave my luggage in the lobby for free. They allowed me to check in early but charged me £5 per hour for this, which I wasn't used to. I was satisfied overall, would return.

Receptionist was not quite happy to see us. She was not at all friendly. She made us to wait till 3pm for check in. We stayed for 3 days but nothing offered. Room was very tiny and no tissue paper was provided. But this hotel in in the centre that was on the good point to stay there.

As I arrived in London in the morning, I headed to the Chester in hopes of getting an early check-in. I was told that there weren't any rooms available, and that I could leave my bags there. The bags are left in the lobby so I opted for waiting to see how quickly I could get into a room. A room was ready about half an hour later, but once I had moved my luggage, I realized that the carpet was damp near the bathroom. I went back to reception and told them that that room wasn't adequate. Another room became available about half an hour early. I was charged £5/hour for the early check in. As the room was on the top floor, it was quite warm. Luckily there was an opening window, which I kept open a bit during the day and all night. I think it would be dreadfully hot in the summer. The location is ideal; just a short walk to Victoria Station.

NOT EARLY CHECK IN , our airplane arrived early so we tried to do early check in since all we wanted was to lay in bed for a while , this hotel doesn’t do early check in like others do for a charge , staff were kinda rude , didn’t offer any help and went to sleep in front of us while we were standing there with all our luggage , not even a bathroom to use , the rest of the experience was meh but overall not friendly staff which is important when you’re in another country
