This is a convenient hotel to Paddington Station. Typical mid-tier hotel, with a very small lobby. Coffee shop/restaurant attached. No working or lounging space. It seems pretty pricey, I guess based on the location. I've stayed twice for the convenience and, meh, it's a hotel. Not much light in the rooms. Beds are comfortable and the AC works well, as that is sometimes in doubt in the UK.

Hotel was really nice….just disappointed because we had an early start on the last day & asked if they could do up a breakfast box for us, seeing as we had prepaid breakfast…..the day manager told us that the night manager had to organise it & when we asked the night manager, he said that he couldn’t do it….so we got nothing….😒

Ive stayed at a number of Hotel Indigos and unfortunately i dont think this one is in keeping with the brand. The design felt half hearted, the rooms are absolutely tiny, and the air conditioning is really inappropriate and the rooms end up like a sweatbox. The restaurant is the Bella Italia next door, but its so cramped in there breakfast wasnt exactly relaxing. It was clean, and the staff were helpful, but they are let down by what the hotel offers.

This was an excellent location, so close to transportation and several different types of restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel deserves a round of applause. Their food was delicious and they always went out of their way to make sure you were satisfied. So accommodating and all so pleasant. Our hotel room was a twin and quite a fair size for a London hotel. Exactly like the picture on their website. Will definitely stay there again.

Location (5 min walk to Paddington station which means fast train to Heathrow and easy access to Tube) was great. Very small room but good, hot, modern shower. Great breakfast served in cute downstairs cafe. Walkable to Kensington Gardens. No bar at premises but at least 4 pubs just outside the door. Good dining options very close.

Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast was well sorted and plenty. Rooms are small but well appointed and clean. Within walking distance to paddington station and tube with plenty of food options and shops in the immediate area. We dinned at hotel restaurant one evening and all parties were pleased with pasta options ordered and service.

Great location just around the corner from Paddington station. The twin room I shared with my daughter was on the first floor with a view to the front of the building. It was a lovely clean room with plenty of space. The beds extremely comfortable. The hotel was clean and staff were warm/ welcoming and very professional. Would definitely stay here again

We have stayed in many 4 Star properties and this is NOT a 4 Star property. The ONLY benefit to staying here is the proximity to Paddington station. We stayed in a standard king room- the bed is not an American King- more like a double. I question if it wasn’t actually a double room, but as we were too tired by the time we checked in, we lived with it. The room was dirty- there was dust everywhere- the shower door was stained with soap scum, the rugs felt gritty under bare feet, and it smelled bad- kind of a dank, musty smell. The decor displayed online was no where to be seen- the wallpaper was peeling off of the wall- end tables stained. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. The check in took a ridiculously long time- there were no bellmen or staff to help with luggage. I would say staying here is a half step up or equivocal to staying in a holiday inn. I expect cleanliness and elevated service- this was not it.

The room smelled of cigarette smoke although the room was supposedly a non-smoking room and the front desk claimed the hotel was a non-smoking hotel. The solution was to open the door to the balcony. The air-conditioning was not on, presumably because it was noisy. There was no room service menu in the room and when i went down and asked the front desk for one just before 9.30pm, they omitted to say that orders were not possible since the restaurant wasn't taking orders any longer. So when i returned 15-20 minutes later to the front desk - well before 10 pm - it was not possible to order food. The phone in the room was in operating. The bedroom was tiny, but the bathroom was ok however.

A Nice Hotel in a Wonderful location just down the street from Paddington train station. It’s an upscale neighborhood with great Pubs & restaurants. Our room was small but clean and updated. The windows didn’t open and the bathroom shower was rather small but overall we had a comfortable stay at Hotel Indigo

The decor was pleasant, the towels, robes and slippers were clean and soft. The room was cosy and the television hood. However the room was not spotless and very noisy. I didn’t sleep well as a result. The receptionist tried to charge me for my stay when I had prepaid and didn’t apologise. The porridge was inadequate, a cheap plastic pot. Considering the cost of a nights stay, I was very disappointed. I won’t be staying here again.

Great little hotel, hidden away a stone's throw from Paddington. A nice little park opposite the hotel to sit in and 10 mins walk to Hyde Park. Great location, quiet yet close to amenities and tube/station. Nicely presented, modern hotel. Nice modern room, small but had everything you needed. Loved that they still had a kettle option as well as coffee machine and pods. A fridge in the room with free water cartons and glass bottle of milk - no plastic!

Conveniently located close to London Paddington station. Rooms are clean but despite that, the property conditions seem to be going downhill. Most notable is the air conditioning seems to be hit and miss as the non-park facing rooms heat up like an oven during summer

The hotel is in a great location, it is spic and span clean, the attached restaurant is AMAZINGLY TASTY!!! The staff was pleasant. That said, I would not go back, nor can I recommend it. Upon check in we were informed that we (two people, one of whom is 6'4" or 1.93 meters tall) had requested a twin bed, but they were going to give us a king bed. Now, I have an email confirming my selection of a king bed. I was charged for a king bed. What we got was a bed that measured (yes we double checked) 135cm x 190cm (roughly 4.5' x 6'). THAT is a European DOUBLE bed, NOT a king sized bed. When we commented on it we were told, correctly, that European bed sizes are smaller than USA's. Yes, we said, we know, but this bed did not meet the measurements of a European king- we checked those specifications before we booked the room. Our staff member, a lovely woman named Maty, told us with a straight face that this was THEIR definition of a king size. They had another king, an elite king, and that one was bigger. Look, the primary reason for a hotel is a safe, clean place to sleep. My boyfriend couldn't sleep. He was longer than the bed. If we need to pay for and book a bigger bed- no problem, but we need to know what we are getting. Don't tell me that I am getting a king, then slip me a double. And WHY would you say I requested a twin???

Room was supposed to have a balcony, but the balcony was unusable and unsafe. Room was noisy, had a terrible sleep. Staff messed up my taxi request causing me to be late. Hotel was worn and unpleasant.

Great small hotel very close (a three minute walk) to Paddington station and Heathrow express. Surprisingly spacious room, very well appointed with modern furnishings, fittings and decor., Very clean and tidy, Painless check in and out with friendly staff. all in all, highly recommended. When we checked in, we were given a room on the fifth floor, which is actually their lower level (basement). I requested another room. The bathroom was small, with no place to hang towels. There was a towel warmer right next to the shower door, and we had to be careful when getting out, as it was constantly on and hot.

I booked two superior king rooms based in a review of the Hotel Indigo Paddington based on a review from The Points Guy. Upon check in we were informed that our rooms had a maintenance issue and we were escorted to the property’s sister hotel, Mercure, through a connecting hallway. Our rooms in the Mercure were standard king rooms and when I checked the rate and pictures through Expedia, far inferior to the rooms we had booked at Indigo. I mentioned this to staff in both hotels and they assured me the rooms were the same. I have photos of the inferior room and they are nearly identical to the standard room at the Mercure. I have reached out to hotel staff for a price correction and have yet to hear back. Based on this issue and depending on the resolution offered, I will likely contact The Points Guy to offer my tales of caution to other travelers. Buyer beware that this property may bait and switch you!

We did an advanced full payment for a premium room for 4 nights. Due to flight delay, we arrived at 11:45pm. Reception staff said the room was under maintenance and that another room had been booked in a sister hotel. I then scrolled through past comments in Expedia and realised all customers were given the same excuse. I asked to speak to a manager for refund. They said there was no manager, and I had to call a reservation hotline the next morning to handle it myself. After an hour, they sent us to Ceasar hotel at 1am. Reception said Indigo didn't reserve a room for us, and they always sent last minute guests to them. At one time, Ceasar was full when the guests arrived, and they actually took up the mess by helping guests to find another hotel. Luckily, Expedia has a 24 hour live chat with real CS. The kind CS was Babbli. He's so empathetic that he offered to help with the refund so I could book another hotel. So be careful when you book the premium room. By the way, they sent customers to a standard room with a cheaper price too.

I misunderstood the term "city view" when I ordered my room, and even though the mistake was on my part, Shah and Lessie in the reception upgraded my room free of charge and gave me free breakfast. The excellent service I recieved from these two is the main reason i will probably book my room at the Hotel Indigo the next time I travel to London.

To say we were dissapointed, is an understatement! We arrived at the hotel at 8:30PM only to be told, we didn't have a room. It later transpired that there was a room but it wouldn't be available until 10pm. We went for dinner, returning to the hotel at 10:30pm only to be told that that there was in fact no room for us. We were then transferred to a neighbouring hotel to a room that was tiny and really wasn't suitable for two people sharing. I would like to know how to make a complaint.

We turned up Hotel Indigo at 5pm after a long flight from the states. After being checked in for 10 minutes we asked if there was a problem. We were told that at this point they didn’t have a room for us and they were looking at getting us a room at the next hotel! After a 45 minute wait, we finally got a room in the Mercure. The room was so tiny, it was along a narrow corridor on the fifth floor. The room was so small that we could barely get our luggage in and the blind didn’t fit properly so at 4.30 am the sun was shining right onto the bed. Our nights sleep was awful. Not what we booked and not what we expected. We were not offered any compensation, a very different level of service from the service we received in America.

My check in time was confirmed as 1500 but my room was not ready until 1615, leaving me waiting around. I am entitled to a guaranteed late checkout as an IHG Gold Elite member but I was told by front desk staff this may not be possible. 3 times my room was entered the following morning starting at 8:15am by staff, twice without knocking. Manager stated he would look into my concerns and email me but almost a week later, no such email has been received. Unacceptable for a 499GBP/night hotel. Would absolutely not recommend.

We had a few small issues during the stay which were promptly dealt with. Room was smaller than expected but very comfortable. Bathroom was clean but starting to look a bit tired. Great location.

Very convenient with location near paddington station. Room was very quiet despite being in a busier location. Easy walk to Hyde park. Probably much better areas for shopping and restaurants in London but the ease of transportation made that not matter much.

This was an excellent location, so close to transportation and several different types of restaurants. The restaurant at the hotel deserves a round of applause. Their food was delicious and they always went out of their way to make sure you were satisfied. So accommodating and all so pleasant. Our hotel room was a twin and quite a fair size for a London hotel. Exactly like the picture on their website. Will definitely stay there again.

Location (5 min walk to Paddington station which means fast train to Heathrow and easy access to Tube) was great. Very small room but good, hot, modern shower. Great breakfast served in cute downstairs cafe. Walkable to Kensington Gardens. No bar at premises but at least 4 pubs just outside the door. Good dining options very close.

The hotel is very close to Paddington Station which made day trips very easy. The staff were all delightful and went out of their way to help. The food in the adjoining restaurant was wonderful and there are many other options to eat nearby

Staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Breakfast was well sorted and plenty. Rooms are small but well appointed and clean. Within walking distance to paddington station and tube with plenty of food options and shops in the immediate area. We dinned at hotel restaurant one evening and all parties were pleased with pasta options ordered and service.
