Elizabeth Oceanfront Suites, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We we quite surprised by this property. We loved the grab n go breakfast, the nightly salmon chowder and the fresh baked cookies. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking garage was a bonus. The view from the balcony was amazing.The fire pits were enjoyable. The pool needed cleaned but I would happily stay here again.

Right on the beach with an ocean view! In addition to a continental breakfast in the morning, they served a delicious salmon chowder at 5pm and fresh baked cookies at 7pm. Very informative about the tides. Convenient to walk to the beach or Bay Area. Indoor heated pool and jacuzzi were great and we loved eating by the fire pit- it was great!

Parking garage has a height limit of 6’2”. Larger vehicles need to park on the street. Beds were very comfortable.

Even the parking lot has an incredible view! Pool and hot tub were great. Fire pits and outdoor seat were a great way to get out of the wind.

We stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay. We have stayed in the Allred and Hallmark previously and Elizabeth is right up there with them. The beds are huge and very comfortable. The sand and fire pit out back is enchanting and the pool and hot tub was relaxing. Staff was very friendly and everything was modern and clean. I like to leave the sliding door open to fall asleep to the ocean so would have liked a screen. I was a little concerned about seagulls sneaking in. The one low point of our stay is that my daughter got food poisoning from the smoked salmon chowder. It is the only food that she ate that the rest of us did not. Other than that, we highly recommend this hotel.

Property and room were clean. I also liked the sand area in the front with fireplaces. Breakfast was good but no onsite restaurant - no wine/beer on site. Unfortunately, people kept leaving the slider open to the pool, so the indoor pool room was probably 50 degrees and the pool itself probably not much warmer, rendering the amenity worthless. It may be beneficial for the property to simply seal that extra door off. Three times it was left fully open on saturday morning.

Elizabeth Oceanfront Suites has become our go-to place for staying on the coast (they're more affordable than Hallmark). One of the things I really like about EOS is that all their rooms are pet friendly. Also this time I was able to use their pool and spa, and both were very clean and good temps. The outdoor sitting area with little fires going will probably feel better in the summer--a little too cold still in May. But it looks nice, and would be a fun place to hang out with friends/family. Things they can work on: the cable TV guide did not match the channels, there needs to be a channel guide. And for the complimentary breakfast... please get a toaster! They're like $30 bucks at Walmart. A defrosted bagel heated in a microwave does not cut it. That whole breakfast thing can be much better. But it's just a suggestion. The staff is very friendly, and while it's a bit of a walk, it's pretty easy to get down to the beach. I would definitely recommend staying at EOS.

Location of pool & hot tub wasn't clearly signed/indicated. Exercise room not well equipped. A few minor maintenance annoyances. However, staff was very friendly & responsive.

The very morning we left for the hotel, I received an email saying that there pool were down for repairs. While this is not the fault of the hotel, it did majorly dampen our enthusiasm for our stay, as one of the reasons we chose this hotel was for its indoor, heated pool. The issue was never resolved during our stay, and had the pool been available, we'd have given the hotel 5 stars on everything. It would have been nice to have been comped an additional day, or offered a partial refund.

Parking is a little difficult if you have a truck, garage is small. Rooms were clean and front staff really nice. Love the area to lounge in with the fire pits! Beach view in the morning is wonderful

Dirty room (hairs, sand, etc.), broken appliances (TV didn't work), water damage, slider door broken, supplies in room not restocked (towels, coffee cups) key card doors hard to operate (keys not read; doors not opening), elevator in major need of updating and servicing, dirty hallways and stairwells. Very disappointing.

We love staying here-usually make a trip to Newport area a couple times a year. The rooms are comfy & we enjoy the view & falling asleep to the ocean sounds. The slider door stuck & the carpets getting a little fraid but we'll keep coming back. The staff here are the best!

In particular, it's a very comfortable hotel. The rooms have ocean views. The staff is very friendly and attentive. For me, the breakfast is a great option; you can bring it to your room. What I didn't like was that the pool was dirty, the carpet in my room was ripped, and the ceiling fan was dirty. Other than that, everything was fine. Not to mention that at 5 pm they offer you chouder soup and at 7 pm they offer you cookies. The bathrobes in the rooms are very soft.

Loved the friendliness of the property staff!! The facility was exceptionally clean, the views from our room were stunning, and location was just a short stroll to the beach walk-down path.

Room was large and quite nice. Bed was EXTREMELY high and felt dangerous getting in and out of. Toilet seat not securely fastened to toilet. Coffee maker but no tea or cocoa.

Great views, breakfast was pretty good and the room was nice and clean, it hadn’t been cleaned great before we got there but the property overall felt clean.

Staff were great. Room was clean and spacious with an amazing view. Balcony could use a bit of cleaning, but otherwise very nice, walkable and we highly recommend.

Spotless, everything was perfect. Staff was friendly and helpful and always keeping the towels in the pool stocked and helpful with directions. The room is right on the beach and the patio was very relaxing. The walk to the beach is just a short stroll down the steps or the trail. Very quiet hotel and I felt very safe there. Family friendly.

Excellent customer service and the facility seemed new and was very clean. The beds are super comfortable, it was easy to regulate the temperature in the room, and they had a great tv with loads of options to watch. The pool and jacuzzi area were super clean, refreshing and a ton of fun for the kids! We will definitely return.

We felt welcomed the minute we arrived. Our room was lovely, the bed was so comfortable and the view was fabulous.

All rooms have a balcony with an ocean view. There is a gas fireplace on each room, which was very cozy. The bathroom, though exceptionally clean, had a bit of a sewage smell if the door was kept closed with the fan off. That was not appealing. Parking on the main floor is not desired, as sea salt ends up all over the vehicle. Parking in the lowest level prevents any sea salt, but be cautios, as there is very low clearance to get in.

I loved the ocean view and the staff was so caring when I had a mishap. The only thing inconvenient was the height of the beds. For a short person, they were not very manageable. I would suggest asking for the stepstool they provide....I wasn't told about that at check-in

The carpet in our room was wore thin at the sliding glass door as well as the sliding glass door to our balcony was difficult to open, as if it had fallen off runner. The fireplace is not work. We did call about the fireplace and it was fixed very quickly. Overall I would stay there again. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free cookies and salmon chowder every night. The view can’t be beat.

The room we stayed in was recently remodeled. The electric fireplace was very inviting. The beds were extremely cozy (could use deep pocket sheets though). The lobby entrance is beautifully adorned. We were offered cookies upon arrival. It was a short trips us, but a memorable one. We will definitely be back!

Great view, somewhat dated hotel.

Located right on the beach. Rooms are spacious with king size double beds and beautiful balcony to watch sunsets. The breakfast included is a grab and go.

The beds are huge - be sure to ask for the special step stools they have- The views are amazing from the room.

The toilets flush very loudly and the beds were super comfortable.

I’ve seen this hotel for years and it was time to try it. The counter staff was very friendly, positive, and helpful, so check in was smooth and pleasant. The room was excellent; it helps that all rooms are oceanfront with private decks. And the bed was exceptionally comfortable.

We had a great stay! Out room was so comfortable and clean! I want to give a special shout out to the front desk Caleb! He provided AMAZING customer service! It makes all the difference. I will be back

We had trouble getting towels and washcloths each day (we called the front desk and asked for them in the morning and then had to call again in the late afternoon, as they hadn't been delivered- this happened every day of our stay).

Amazing customer service!

I was excited to book Elizabeth Oceanfront Suites for a special one-day vacation with my toddler before our baby arrives. Being very pregnant, this trip meant a lot to us. Before booking, Caleb promised a top-floor corner room facing the lighthouse, assured all cleanliness concerns would be addressed, and guaranteed a 12 PM late check-out if I joined their free membership. Trusting him, I booked and confirmed the room the next day. At check-in, Caleb confirmed the late check-out, but the room was NOT as promised. When I asked, he shrugged, gave no apology, and no alternative. The AC didn’t work; the room was 80 degrees, forcing us to close blinds and lose the ocean view. Maintenance visits wasted hours of our $450 stay, ruining our plans. Front desk staff Aaron was rude, hung up on me, and then became unreachable. We moved to a downgraded room that smelled of dog urine and had no phone. Fresh towels were brought in a garbage bag — disrespectful and completely unacceptable. The pool was filthy, with used bandaids and looked like a construction site. Felt uncomfortable letting my toddler swim in such conditions. On checkout day, staff knocked early 2x, then said I wasn’t signed up for late check-out despite Caleb’s promise. Manager Tiffany promised to call me but never did. This was by far the worst hotel experience ever, with broken promises, rude staff, disgusting conditions, and no accountability. Save your money and sanity — book elsewhere. You will regret it otherwise.

Pro's: From my first conversation with Caleb I knew I would get Stellar Customer Service. This was our first time staying with E.O.S. and I had many questions which he was patient and very knowledgeable with his replies. When we arrived for check In we were greeted with a smile and a welcoming deamor after a long drive and Caleb had all requests filled from xtras in the room and fresh COOKIES waiting....Ummm Yes please:) This was AWESOME and was so APPRECIATED!! Emma was AMAZING & Kind also during our time of need late at night. The vending machine was being finicky with credit cards and she was able to get me 2 bottled water's and 2 apple juice boxes which was definitely needed as we were down to only 1 bottled water to share..I definitely appreciated her kindness and help:) The rooms are spacious with lots of amenities and AMAZING balcony views that are great for relaxing & rejuvenating your soul with all the beach vibes. Con's: The carpet in the rooms DEFINITELY need replaced or at least high traffic area at the least! my big toe was punctured on the bottom when I took my heels off and was walking over to get my slippers on OUCH! The carpet is shredding away from the transitioning strip which leaves sharp tacking exposed which caused my injury! It hindered me going into the hot tub and pool because I didn't want to share guest amenities with an open wound! Really upset about this! However I have faith that the GM Tiffany will reach out soon and hopefully accommodate!

Easy check in with nice staff

It's pretty much ON the beach, so that's nice, and each room has a fantastic view. The street it's on is dingy and poorly lit.

Friendly and accommodating staff. Nice room and very comfy bed. Easy beach access. Close to restaurants and shops.

Could use a fresh coat of paint and a little love, but every time we stay there, it’s a pleasant and quiet experience. It’s location is great to get to the beach and shops right around the corner.

Location was right on the beach. Great view. Not easy to get to the beach though. Hotel sits on a sandy/rocky bluff.

Friendly service and a clean, comfortable room with amazing views of the beach... what more can you ask for? This hotel worked out really well for our three-person family, and the convenience of location and their service made our trip really enjoyable. You should be aware that they have no direct beach access on-site (the public beach access is about a block away, though, which we still found perfectly convenient. It's a nice paved path, but might be too steep for those who are older or mobility challenged.) They have a lovely outdoor firepit area with sand and lots of seating, which was popular at sunset. They do go out of their way to add nice little extras to make things more comfortable, even though they seem to be (like many other places, especially on the coast) understaffed right now. We will be back!

Great place to stay while in Newport. Ocean views. Close to shopping and restaurants. Walkable.

Our room was very clean. Front office offered clam chowder daily and fresh cookies. Good location, however hotel does not have direct access to the beach but close enough to walk around. Very pleased with our stay. Would stay here again.

While on the beach, the beach access is not ideal. No breakfast available - even for purchase. Not "walking" close to restaurants but a very easy drive

Staff was friendly. Lobby had free treats that were yummy. Parking is tight but doable. Walking to town is nice and felt safe.

I didn't appreciate that the description says that breakfast is included. It can barely be called a contiental break. No fresh fruit, fresh muffins, toast or any type of cooked food.

We like our stay, Only one minus - the breakfast options are not a lot, just few. Stuff is friendly, ready to solve any issue. We like pool and spa in hotel.

This property is beautiful. I've never had a true waterfront experience before. The staff was lovely, parking is easy, and the room was spacious and quiet. The only issue is that the breakfast was inedible.

Awesome experience. The only item I would highlight is the lack of better breakfast options but the view of the ocean makes up for all. And there are great brunch places within a few minutes of the place.

Absolutely breathtaking views from the room and the stay was very comfortable. Staff was courteous. All rooms have beach view which is awesome. I was also provided a crib with no extra cost. The only downside was that the breakfast wasn't buffet but grab and go. I only went the first day because there wasn't much that I wanted to have. There were boxed juice, muffins, boiled eggs in fridge etc. But if you have other breakfast options, this is absolutely a "must stay" place.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was great. The hotel overlooks the beach with a nice ocean view from every room. The beds were very comfortable and the room included a fireplace. The complimentary salmon chowder in the lobby was delicious! It’s a very short walk to Nye Beach. We can’t wait to stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. We had two kids (17/11) and the king beds were great for everyone to spread out on. The view from our balcony was perfection and the fireplace was a nice place to warm up after a day on the beach. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed swimming. Staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that the breakfast was not what we expected. It is a grab and go situation as opposed to waffle maker/scrambled eggs/sausage, etc you would expect with a complimentary hotel breakfast. We made it work though and we would definitely stay here again!
