Older style property but our room must have been recently renovated because everything looked brand new. Even the bathroom exhaust fan cover was spotlessly clean. New fluffy towels, new furniture, even the toilet looked new. The bed was very comfortable, the shower pressure was great. Spotlessly clean. The exterior public areas were just as clean. I was concerned the room was going to be too noisy as it was upstairs directly next to the traffic lights (room 19) but there was very little traffic and didnt really notice any noise until maybe 6.30ish and it certainly wasnt loud enough to be a problem. No noise transferance from other rooms and it was apparently fully booked at the time we were there. Off street parking. Service station with convenience store directly across the road (again, no noise from here either). The only negative was the wifi was non-existent which didnt affect our stay in any way. Highly recommend this property for an overnight stay in Townsville.

The young couple running the business are very good. I liked the deal with the included breakfast: fill in a form when checking in (before a certain cutoff time), and your selections will be delivered to your room before 7pm.
