Guest reviews

What guests think

AI-generated summary based on recent guest reviews

At Fairfield by Marriott Inn and Suites Augusta Fort Eisenhower Area, many guests highlight very friendly staff, generally clean accommodations, and a breakfast that is often praised, though opinions vary, creating an experience that balances dependable basics with occasional inconsistencies. Rooms are described as comfortable, but several reviews note loud air-conditioning or road noise, some humidity or wear, occasional odors, and mixed Wi-Fi performance. Facilities feedback is mixed, with reports of an indoor pool closure, ongoing renovations (and new carpeting), and a slow elevator. The location is convenient for Fort Gordon, stores, and south Augusta, yet multiple guests felt the surrounding area was sketchy or unsafe, and one review reported a theft from a parked truck. Overall, expect a simple, serviceable stay.

What ever they use to clean the floor in the hotel rooms leaves a thick layer of oil/slime all over the floors. The smell is not good either.

Overpowering (migraine/asthma inducing) artificial fragrance in the room and someone else’s hair on the towels. I went to the breakfast area well before it was open to take a peek at the options from a distance, not touching anything and was rudely told by the man from the front desk that breakfast doesn’t start until 7. That was obvious since the lights were off. The lady setting up breakfast was friendly.

The staff was absolutely amazing at this hotel. The front desk clerk Tiara is so outgoing and friendly and engaging. She made our stay worth it. Not to mention the incredibly hard-working lady that puts the continental breakfast together every morning, who is also incredibly friendly and a sweetheart. The rooms are extremely clean and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody if we ever find ourselves in Augusta again we would definitely go back.

Check in was horrible. Took over an hour to get our room. We booked on hotel.com. When we arrived, there were no rooms with 2 beds as we had booked. The staff was unable to switch us to a king room as we had booked online. No one seemed to be able to give us a solution. We spent an hour on the phone with hotels.com and with the check in desk at the hotel before it was finally switched over. Mind you, the process points were the same. Once we got to the room, it smelled of marijuana. Check out was also an ordeal. The hotel said we had not checked in the previous day and it took 15 minutes to get out the next morning. Not planning to stay at a Marriot again due to the experience.
