Staff, including housekeeping, were excellent. This is an older stately hotel with lots of charm and ambiance. There’s also a small chapel in the back lobby area. The room was clean and everything worked well. Good European breakfast, excellent coffee ! Easily walkable to most local sites. Bus and train stations are 5 minutes from the hotel.

Hotel has 5 parking spaces for guests in inner courtyard. You must reserve in advance, and ask in advance the address to arrive for this parking as it is difficult if not impossible to park in front of the hotel to check-in. Quite clean but basic room. Breakfast was great.

Beautiful hotel in a very central location, and free on street parking with voucher provided by the hotel. Friendly front desk staff. Possible to eat breakfast in the garden and sit out there at other times which was lovely.

The hotel is conveniently located about a 10 minute walk from Ravenna’s train station. It’s also within walking distance to the city’s main attractions. The room we received was larger than the one we originally booked - we reserved a standard twin room and received a large one with a king bed, a separate twin bed and a spacious bathroom. The extra space was greatly appreciated. The room itself was basic, but clean and comfortable and had all the amenities we expected (toiletries, mini fridge, safe, etc.). The air conditioner didn’t do much to cool down the room - the temperature never went below 24°. The common areas of the hotel are well looked after and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was tasty and had a large enough selection. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay in this converted palazzo.

Yes, the hotel is in a "Palazzo", but, even though we were "upgraded" our room must once have been the servants quarters--no windows, very spartan and unattractive. Otherwise, hotel was fine. Staff friendly and helpful.

I had written a review that was poor, as I was very unhappy with our initial room. I think that this was the only such room in the hotel as it looked out on a noisy HVAC unit and required us to keep the wooden shutters closed to keep out noise. The hotel was very accomodating in moving our room the next day, which had a nice view of the inner courtyard and allowed us to bring in natural light to the room. The staff were very pleasant, and it really is a very nice and very reasonably priced hotel to stay in while in Ravenna. As long as you don't get Room 3, I apologize for my poor earlier review and would recommend the hotel.

This hotel was beautiful. The air conditioning was working in our room, but I don’t believe it was in all rooms. The air con is not very strong though, so if you like it really cool like we do, it won’t be that. It will be comfortable though. The king bed in the room was very comfortable and nice. There was a big array of razors, soap, shampoo packets, etc in the room. Could have been more outlets in more convenient locations (one was close to the floor and by the door, so we had to leave devices on the floor to charge. But that’s to be expected of an old location. The little town was beautiful but maybe a little rough. Overall I’d stay here again.

The hotel is very well situated; about a 7 minute walk from the railway station on the one side and straight into the district including all the tourist sights on the other. Our room was enormous - described as a "traditional" room - which had a marble floor and very high painted ceiling, a huge bed, 2 sofas and a fridge. However, we understand that some rooms are much smaller so it's worth checking what you are booking. The only criticism of the room is that no kettle or tea & coffee facilities were provided, which seems very unusual these days, but they did provide a kettle on request and we were able to get our supplies from the CoOp store only 1 minute away. The breakfast buffet only offers cold food but it is plentiful and has a wide choice and is available from 7:00 - 10:30am. A nice touch is the bowls of sweets and chocolates around the reception / lounge area which provided a welcome treat on return from a day's activities. The staff at Reception and at Breakfast were friendly and welcoming. All in all, a very nice hotel and recommended.

The rooms are small. If they put you near the front of the building there is a lot of road noise. The mattresses could definitely be better. The bed size is also small. The AC was shut off and our room was hot. They brought us a fan.

Das Hotel ist anfürsich sehr angenehm und schön. Die Lage ist perfekt. Das Frühstück eines der besten, die ich in Hotels hatte. Jedoch ist das Personal an der Rezeption ungenügend trainiert und ziemlich konfus. Als wir ankamen, behauptete die Dame, dass nur 1 Zimmer gebucht wurde. Trotz Hotels.com Bestätigung konnten wir keine Zimmer beziehen sondern wurden in einer nahegelegen Unterkunft untergebracht, die eigentlich sehr nett war aber nicht das was wir gebucht hatten. Schade!

The hotel staff was absolutely amazing. From reception to bar to breakfast staff, we had the best experience and everything we had asked for was accommodated. We stayed here before our cruise out of Ravenna, there were 9 of us and they were able to get us transport to the port without any problem. Beautiful hotel.

Breakfast is wonderful, it is close to the train station and to several sites, and there are some bikes for guests. (Some bikes are okay, some not so much.). There is a nice enclosed patio that we did not notice until our second day. Temperatures were in the 90s during our stay, and, at this hotel, electricity only worked when we had the room card was in a slot. Due to that and to the poor A/C, our suite was always very hot. They appear to have a firm check-in time, while other places would let us check in early if the room is ready.
