Olympic Inn & Suites Port Angeles

Aside from the check in area, the motel was very run down. Much to our dissappointment, the pool was closed, though it looked fine under the tarp and there was no evidence of work being done on it so I wonder if they just didn't want to maintain it. After all, the place is for sale and had the vibe that no one cared. As it turns out, the same person owns the motel we stayed in in Forks- it was easy to discern as it had the same awful color scheme, lighting, bad fitting linens and furniture. Our towels never dried even though they were hung from the hangers in the sink area! Without the pool, there was no where you could sit outside as there are no balconies or areas on the property where you could "relax" other than in the dark, outdated and grungy room. The first room we were assigned (and thankfully moved from) was at the foot of the stairs with absolutely no privacy with the curtains open-it should not be a guest room-unacceptable! Do yourself a favor and do not stay here! I am surprised Expedia allows this establishment to be one of their options!

Old property, I booked for 2 nights with family, had a big travel bags. Elevator was not working, got a room in second floor, it was tough. No breakfast in this property.

Lots of parking and close to our room door. Overall the facility was nice and clean but the hot tub was not functioning which was disappointing. No biggie though. Our only real negative was the front desk staff. When I called ahead of our check in, the woman on the phone didn’t seem to want to help me, was short and ignored my question, it seemed, to make a point that I was bothering her. Then when we arrived, the gentleman at the front desk didn’t say hello, but greeted us with, “Reservation?” and “Name?” Not very welcoming, but I wouldn’t have thought as much of it if the first representative wasn’t so rude. I think the front desk staff could work on their friendliness and helpfulness - this is what most travelers come to expect from hotels, as it is literally the hospitality business.

Pool was closed

Pool ands hot tub had never been opened this summer. Hotel is old, old fashioned but room was pretty clean

Hot weather and the outdoor pool was closed for my entire stay. Staff would not let you even use the deck chairs for sun bathing despite their being no active repair work going on. The closet hangers and hardware are also getting so worn out they need replacement. The summer rates for Port Angeles W outrageous!

This hotel was conveniently located and our room was very comfortable and spacious. The road noise kept us up most of the night and we had to turn off the water supply to the toilet at night due to it recycling every 5 minutes. There was mold on the walls in the bathroom and the baseboards and door were filthy. The bedrooms and kitchen were clean. This is a dated budget hotel. There are no USB outlets and no smart televisions. The hot tub was broke too.

For $160 I expect room without peeling paint and working ice machine and hot tub ... Pool was very chilly Also breakfast would be good

Limited parking

the pool was closed but that was not clear on the website when I made the reservation. My two children were looking so forward to swimming at the hotel during the hot august days (aug 25-27) the doors and walls in the room had dirt and grime on them. the grounds had overflowing cigarette containers full of garbage

Rooms were clean and beds were comfy.

The black in the shower/tub grout is off putting and disgusting! The room and the property needs substantial TLC. The junk cars in the back lot have no place on a hotel property and degrade the quality of the property even more!

Clean

Dirty in every corner. Smelled musty. No coffee supplied. No extra blanket for the bed. The outside is shabby, at best. This property needs a complete re-work and is not worth what is charged.

Room was filthy, not dirty, FILTHY I believe there was poop on the hairdryer cord Blood (thick glob) on tv stand Dirt and grime on every surface, looked like it was compiled over many weeks or even months of not being cleaned Remote for the tv broke and absolutely filthy Door to bathroom broken Spider webs everywhere in our room and outside the entry door. No pool (advertised as open) No Hottub I would never stay here again I will not recommend to anyone ****DO NOT STAY HERE**** Very unprofessional front counter staff

The bathtub had mold all around the caulking. There were no safety strips on the tub, no grab rail and when I asked for a rubber beth mat they didn't have any. The elevator floor was dirty and the tiles were cracked. The stairs to the second floor had something hanging down, creating a tripping hazard. My room was missing a night table lamp and a bedspread. There is no housekeeping unless you ask for it. With the reduction in services there is no reduction in price. The room was quite expensive for what it was - a seedy hotel, not maintained.

Bathroom was dirty and moldy

The room was very dirty and smelled horrible. Everything looked old/dirty/broken. There was an old tub of ham in the mini fridge and a handprint on the wall above the toilet. I paid for two nights, but I left after one, which I probably shouldn’t have stayed for either. So gross

It had a bad smell as soon as I walked in the door. The looked like it hadn’t been washed from the last guest. Wrinkled, torn sheets with a gross thin comforter/blanket. I pulled back the sheets to inspect the mattress, no bugs but stained & glitter & confetti in the seems. Black mold in the seal of the tub & behind the toilet. The bathroom door was peeled at the bottom. The entry door had no safety lock or peep hole.The lampshades had holes in them. I really wanted to use the pool on an 86• day, put it wasn’t open. I’m surprised Expedia would sell this on their website.

Large clean room but dated

The internet is unusable. It constantly stops working. This hotel has known about this issue for many years based on the numerous complaints from customers. You pay good money to be able to use amenities listed and you count on those amenities for work related needs, when the internet does not work it is more than just an inconvenience, it can be detrimental to your job. The hotel should not list wifi as an amenity until they do something to fix this ongoing issue. As I write this review I have lost internet connection several times; simply unacceptable!

Location is good. The room is not quiet

The Inn is in good location, 5 mins to waterfront and main street. But a bit noisy, can hear traffic noise from outside. The main noise from upstairs, can hear people walking all night. The staff was helpful and switched a room at 3rd floor, but still can hear noise from next room.

There was an sewer like odor near elevator. The bathroom door was broken. Some one had kicked in the door from inside. The door did not close. The hotel is located near the highway that brings in all the traffic to the town. The room was very noisy due to traffic noise

It was a pretty loud environment at night, you can kind of hear what your neighbors are doing or saying. The bathroom was a little rough, the faucets on the shower were loose and the paint was missing chunks on the bathroom door as well as missing the bathroom towel hanger with some holes in the door.

The WiFi almost never worked and when it did it broke up and stopped. Noisy too every time someone walked past room it’s was very loud especially sound if wheels like cleaning trolley

Bed very comfortable-convenient location-room was missing a couple of standard items (only one plastic drink cup, no washcloths) -otherwise great!

Unfriendly Reception at main desk. lineup at 3 PM in the front office. All customers could not come in before three, even if their rooms were done.

Overall, the stay was fine in terms of cleanliness, location, and room quality. The service was not satisfactory. There was a coffee station set up in the reception, but coffee was never available. I was there at 8 am and they said they have run out of coffee for the day. How can a hotel run out of coffee at 8am? Secondly, there was extra charges if you needed fresh towels the next day, so we chose not to opt for that. Finally, the lady at the reception was very unfriendly. While checking out, I returned her one key card, and she rudely said - "I need both key cards back, or else I will charge you for it". I mean, in this day and age, people just leave at checkout time. I at least had the courtesy of informing her we were checking out. Normally, people just toss the key cards or take them with. Anyway, this encounter was weird. Overall, comfortable stay but strange service vibes.

Customer service was not helpful or knowledgable. They showed lack of interest to help anyone and outwardly exhibited signs of exasperation because customers needed things. Anyone that works in customer service knows not to talk about a current problem in front of other customers. However, this team lacks this. Not just 1 person, yet all 3 that I observed. Which I heard while I was in the lobby while waiting for my room. I knew if I had any problems they would be of no use. Called at 12pm, to see if I could check in early. They said they don’t allow that in the summer. I understand that. Didn’t ask any details about my upcoming stay to see if there was anything they could do. Got there and waited in the parking lot at 1:30. 2pm, I asked if I could use the bathroom and they said they didn’t have one. 3pm, check in time my room isn’t ready. I watched 12 people get a room before I got my room. I got into my room at 4pm. Heard every step everyone upstairs took. Heavy Water damage on the bathroom door, stains all over every single one of the pathways, trash everywhere outside, says it’s smoke free but there’s buds all over the property and it smells like smoke. Checked out a day early cause it was just gross & miserable experience and I’d rather be at home. Didn’t feel safe from the noise outside. Couldn’t report it since the customer service was non existent.

I reached out to staff ahead of time to request early check in and was told it should not be a problem”depending if the room is ready. This in itself meant nothing really, but based on my pretty extensive travel experience typically the request is noted and first available room is given to guests that requested early check in. I arrived around 1pm and was told check in is at 3 sharp and my room is not ready- without even asking for my reservation details. Your reception desk has a note about no early check ins during summer season, which ends on 8/31. This implies there is early check in option for additional charge during other times. I came back at 2:55pm and was again told I cannot be checked in early, and the check in STARTS at 3, and at 3pm I was told my room is not ready. At no point did the receptionist tried to find other available rooms, until I explicitly told her to do so, then she passed me to another staff member. I expressed earlier that we are going to a wedding and just need access to bathroom to change (no public bathroom in the lobby either), and received zero customer service or attempt for accommodation. This is by far the worst stay I have ever experienced in my life, and will never stay here again, and make sure none of my friends or family does. In addition, there was mold around the tub, and the air was very stale in the room 125 where we ended up (even though I did pay extra for better room) for which no one bothered to offer refund in difference.

Staff was friendly and accommodating! Hotel is about a mile from downtown Port Angeles, which made it convenient

Upon arriving into the establishment the front desk clerk was extremely hostile. I travel often and had key cash reward and used it here. Before coming to the property I made sure I wouldn't need a credit card for the security deposit and the response via email was "no you do not need a credit card when it is 3rd party reservations". I arrived only to argue back and forth with the front desk clerk until the "manager" finally came out and clarified that I was correct and then proceeded to threaten me about calling the cops and kicking me out (also I have a service dog with me). I stayed though but what an awful experience the front desk and "manager" offered me.

Great location. Right outside of the hurricane ridge visitor center. But the inn is between two busy main roads and the traffic is very noisy.

I reserved the early ferry to Victoria so needed to stay close by. Olympic Inn & Suites fits the bill perfectly. It’s not a fancy resort property but my room was clean, the AC worked and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. It was a bit noisy because HWY 101 is on both sides but the highway does quiet down at night. I would stay here again

Convenient location to ferry terminal, hurricane ridge, lake crescent. Night traffic noise because located right on the major roads. If riding the early ferry ride, it’s only 5 minutes drive.

Only one night and it was good.. Beds were good, shower needed a little upgrading, tv & ac worked. good location for exploring Port Angeles and going to hurricane ridge for the day. Also, good location if you want to take the ferry over to Victoria.

We stayed there 2 nights during our trip to Olympic NP. Great location very close to Hurricane ridge. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. McDonald’s 5 min walk so we had breakfast there every morning. Other dining options a little further but can be walked to also.

Pool and hot tub were supposedly closed, although kids got in and played around one night. This property does NOT serve breakfast, as advertised by Expedia. Very close to Olympic National Park, which was awesome. Clean rooms with a decent amount of space.

Driving in, it looked not great. The area didn't feel super safe or clean. There is no frills, no breakfast, and our air conditioner didn't work. The rooms were pretty clean, the bathrooms had hair. Overall, it was just ok.
