The Lawton

Had a really nice break at the Lawton when we visited Blackpool. Only complaint I’d have were the noisy seagulls which isn’t the hotels fault. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was good. Minor decor issues but didn’t spoil our stay. Parking was about a 4 minute walk away but was safe to park car.

Room was clean and tidy,comfy beds and hot showers. Breakfast were ok but would prefer buffet breakfast. Nice large bar area reasonably priced. Parking was available for a price cheaper than carparks. Ideal location for tower winter gardens and beach. Staff friendly and happy to help. One down side some guest were very noisy 23.00 02.00

The room was clean and comfortable but the bathroom left a little to be desired. The shower was very unpredictable in the fact that the water heated up only when it felt like it. The shower area also needs a clean and tidy up, maybe a little maintenance to it. Other than that the staff were great and I enjoyed the breakfast, the late-ish bar was also a plus.

A fabulous property, run by lovely helpful cheerful staff. Comfy beds, spacious room. Clean. A lovely tasty breakfast. Parking available which is safe.

Nice breakfast and easy parking

We turned up very early at 10:30 and asked on the off-chance if we could pay to park earlier as we had to go to a dance comp at winter gardens. Not only were we able to park early but also check in at this time rather than the 10pm check in we were expecting after our dance comp. Also the parking was such good value at £7 and it’s a locked gates carpark with CCTV. The staff from start to finish were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They even started breakfast earlier for us on the Sunday as we had to be back out at the competition for 8:30pm And again the service was brilliant. We will definitely be staying again.

From what I could see it appeared to be the only one in the area that had any parking too which was a huge bonus. The only downside really was the WiFi was a tad slow. Other than that overall cannot fault anything else. Would happily stay again.

Lovely hotel, close to everything we wanted, shops and theatre. Friendly helpful staff, very organised and clean.

I didn’t find this hotel good value for moneyThe hotel is very dated and tatty in many places. Our room wasn’t clean on arrival. The toilet was dirty and the shower was very dirty. Breakfast was average. The bacon and sausage were clearly very cheap as they had no taste at all. On a positive note the staff were very polite and friendly.

The bathroom smelt and dirty the bathroom paint light did not work

After reading a lot of good reviews about this hotel i was looking forward to me & my family staying here. 1st impressions seemed ok when we 1st entered the hotel. It was when we checked into our room when i was disappointed. The room was cold when we went in, i checked the radiators they were both cold so i asked at reception and i was told they were on a timer so will come on later, one radiator came on but the other didnt. It was a family room so 1 radiator wasnt enough to warm the room. I went back to reception as i had also noticed a stain/mark on the bedding & someones dirty underwear under the window. I was told someone would come and change my bed sheet & maintenance will come to check the radiator, there was no apology from the lady on reception. A lovely lady came to change the bedding and apologised, she also tried to figure out what was wrong with the radiator but couldnt solve the problem, she told us she would chase up maintenance for us. We went back out to spend the rest of the day in Blackpool hoping that when we returned the radiator would be sorted, only it hadnt been fixed. We didnt get back til 9.30pm so by this time we were ready for bed and just accepted the radiator wasnt going to be fixed. It was a cold night. The bathroom was also not the cleanest. When your paying around £100 for 1 night i feel things should be a lot better than this. The room we stayed in was 101, hopefully things are sorted for the next guests that stay.

On entering the hotel it seems OK. Staff was very pleasent and helpful. Dining room was clean and breakfast was plentiful on the downside the room was filthy. Carpets full of dust. Blinds in bathrooms smeared with toothpaste shower curtain mouldy. Window sill full of dirt. and caked on dirt. Table was dirty and smeared inside with looked liked blood. Wallpaper ripped off walls. Holes in wall. Dirty curtains. Inside draw caked in dirt. Hence we kept our clothes in the suitcase. Second bed headboard leather all peeled off. Then the bar water all leaked from ceiling and the lift broke. If it wasn't for my companion I'd have been asked to move. The hotel was within walking distant but over the road there was some kind of hostel for drug addicts and alcoholics who openly argued till early hours and we couldn't sit outside the hotel as they was openingly sharing drugs in front of everybody I'm so glad I didn't decide to bring my grandson it's one of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Kept stratching due to the thought of all the dust and filth in the room it was disgusting and I'd never return ever photos are included for proof I could pass on the photos of the drug users due to preversee

Lovely b and b, the only criticism we were on the top floor, and the shower kept losing pressure

Staff nice. Rooms are outdated. Bathrooms need refurbishing, smell of drains in the room and toilet seat broken, shower temperature was inconsistent, drastically!

Staff were great but noise from apparent U13 and U15 football teams that were also staying there until 3 10am. Noise started up again at 7 15am. All adults in the bar and kids running riot along all floors. Slamming doors, shouting, running up and down stairs and in and out of rooms. Not well rested at all nor fair for any other guests that werenr part of the football party.

2nd time at The Lawton. Great position and friendly staff but the bedroom temperature is extreme even when the weather is not that hot.With the temperature so high it’s hard to get a good nights sleep especially as the hotel has no fans

It was in a good location, and was clean and tidy. Not enough staff on for breakfast, some staff wasn’t so friendly. Quite noisey at night too.

Very pleasant and very helpful staff. Best nights sleep for a long time and breakfast was great, choices were marvellous and dining staff very efficient.

Upon arrival the "senior" member of staff was blunt and border line rude. The same lady was then was the same when our daughter went to report that we hadn't been provided with towels, and she was treated as a liar. We went to breakfast 7.55am, 5mins and was met with "your too early, i will shout you when we are ready". The correct way would have been surely was to explain that we are too early and would we like a tea or coffee in the meantime.

As usual another wonderful stay at the Lawton,nothing is too much trouble for the staff.All brilliant,but a big shout out for main people l had contact with.....Nicola,Luca,Martin,Stephen,all go above and beyond.Good amenities,and ideally situated for all attractions.Even the guests who stay there seem to be friendlier than other establishments.Cant think of a THING to complain about!!

Decent hotel near the town centre and well worth the price

A great wee hidden gem. Cheap and convenient. Close to everything. Very friendly folk working there. Basic room but a double bed for a single traveller. Comfortable and really good value. I'll look it up again when I'm back.

Lovely breakfast and great staff. Enjoyed the stay. Right by the tower so in the thick of all the attractions.

Price was good. Locations a bit rough. Im used to it but it definitely puts some people off. Its not the hotels fault, its the resort in general, the hotel was very nice, one of the better stays in Blackpool and I stop in this town regularly.

Fantastic value hotel. Super clean and a fabulous breakfast. Let them know at check-in if you want the veggie or vegan version so they can have appropriate sausages ready for you.

Only stayed 1 night,hotel rooms and corridors very outdated, old and in need of painting, basic full breakfast, sausage not very nice,cheap ingredients, Staff were friendly and helpful, fast check in,in centre of Blackpool near tower.

Wasn't really veggie options for me everyone did seem to be enjoying breakfast. I had beans and toast was happy with that. No complaints with staff. Cleaning needs improving. Location good.

Cooked breakfast was ok Friut and yoghurt. And seeds Not available. No choice of bread. Only white sliced.

Room okay for one night, but breakfast (included) was poor.
