Room #103 Refrigerator was way to loud, I actually turned the breaker off to sleep! Staff should not barge into room at 8am while we are still asleep for a 11am check-our time to clean room. Very simple check room after 11am or check to see with front desk if we had checked out!!!!!

Candlewood Suites was adequate for our stay. I am well acquainted with the area, so I was not expecting a luxury stay, but I also was not worried about my surroundings. A couple of issues: First, the variety of smells. Every space we were in had a different strong, and generally unpleasant smell. The lobby was strong with some kind of cleaning agent or sanitizer, the elevator had a strange smoky smell, our hallway smelled like grilled meat, and our room was sort of musty. It wasn't unbearable, but was definitely challenging. Second, the hotel doesn't offer much in the way of amenities, but one thing I was looking forward to was the guest laundry. Unfortunately, the dryers were out of commission for our entire 3-night stay, and were only available again just as we were checking out. If you need a place to stay in East Indianapolis, you could do worse, but I would not go out of my way to stay here again.

#1 I thought breakfast was included, that's why I got this one. Perhaps I got this wrong, not sure. #2 The thermostat on the wall did not work, the heater had to be on or off. I woke up in the middle of the night sweating, turn the heater off, then woke up in the morning cold. #3 The microwave in my room was broken, the front panel was missing, I took a picture.

My stay was very nice . I loved that they had complimentary Dove shamoo, conditioner, bodywas and lotion.My room had a little kitchenette and a good size refrigerator. I could not get any channels on the TV but that could have just been me, however pet fees and non returnable pet deposit really should be listed before and not after a non returnable booking. That was 75 dollars i did not anticapate. All and all this is a good place and would stay again.

This hotel was perfect for our needs. We are a family of four. The room was spacious and perfect. The full sized ref was a bonus. The little kitchen was super coinvent. The only downside was the way in which the bathroom door swung open. Which did not affect our stay at all.

Booked in 2023 for the Taylor Swift concert. Price was excellent. Overall, the stay was very good. We did have some issues with bugs-not sure what kind. There was no way to close the thicker curtains in our room, 322, and there were very bright lights from a car dealership nearby that shone right into our room throughout the night. It was nice to have a full size refrigerator for our drinks and ice packs.

Our room as disgusting. The smell was terrible. The tiles in the bathroom were all loose and the bathroom door wouldn’t even shut. Has not been updated in YEARS.

We checked in late at night and the guy at the desk was very nice. Once we checked in we realized how dirty the room was. The kitchen floor was sticky and the corner of the bathroom floors were covered in dirt and dust. There were earwigs in the sink drain. The next morning we had a cockroach crawling across the kitchen floor. We check out and they were nice to give us our money back so we can go to another hotel.

The air conditioner in the room was ridiculously loud. There's no way I could sleep. They upgraded me to another room. It changed so that I could have a quiet air conditioner and told me that the tv worked, but it did not. The man at the front desk came to look at it. And said that he would send another person in a few minutes to fix it, and that person never came.

The exterior photo of the hotel was misleading, we didn’t know which doors were the entry as there was no porte cochere to unload underneath so we circled the bldg twice. Front door looked like maintenance entrance with the HVAC units there. Front desk help was kind and accommodating. We had the single queen suite which was roomy enough except for the bed area. It was extremely tight (10-12 inches) on the side with no nightstand. So really only good for one person to stay there.

Many dining options with a fast-food restaurant on edge of parking lot and within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay here and would come back.

We didn’t arrive until midnight. We called earlier to let them know but no one answered. The front desk gentleman was not knowledgeable about happenings in area and I felt like I was bothering him. We got to our room, was clean but the furniture is old and falling apart. The table was literally collapsing. The only redeeming quality about this place is the comfortable bed and the coffee in the lobby. Please renovate or throw away the broken furniture

They overbooked the hotel, and we were given a single king bed instead of two queens. The staff were very pleasant, apologetic, and accommodating. Overall, the hotel was very clean, but ownership could stand to make some improvements. Again, the staff were fantastic.

Received a call when we were about ten minutes away from the hotel telling us that there was a “glitch” in the system with Expedia and they were overbooked, so they did not have a room for us. Not happy!!! We drove four hours to find that out. Found another hotel room after several calls, which cost us three times as much as the room booked through your site. Would love to be compensated, but guessing that won’t happen. Won’t be using Expedia again, that’s for sure! 😠😠😠

DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY! We booked a room through Expedia to stay at this hotel for a major event in Indianapolis. At 3:30 pm on our check-in date, the hotel called us to inform us that, although we had reserved a room and confirmed, they did not have a room for us. The hotel did not offer to find us alternative accommodation, offer any compensation (other than a refund, which I have not yet received), or even any sympathy. When I asked the clerk to talk to his manager, I was placed on hold for five minutes only to be told that his manager was “on vacation,” which was almost certainly a lie. Then he told me that Expedia would be in touch to rebook us somewhere else. But that was also a lie. We never heard or received anything from Expedia either. We were left to scramble for an alternative and ended up staying well out of town in a tiny room because it was all that was an available. I cannot state more strongly — DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY! And if you are foolish enough to do so, you should consider packing a sleeping bag because there is a strong likelihood that you will be sleeping in your car. But whatever you do, don’t bother asking the clerk and his friends at this hotel for any help or compensation. It will not be forthcoming.

My fiance and I were in town for a convention and made the reservation several months prior. When we travel, I make the reservation and my fiance pays for it. When we arrived, we were told the credit card that was used had to be in the name of the person who made the reservation. Even though my fiance was present and had his ID, he was not allowed to pay. I received an email before arriving, informing us of the requirements of check-in. This was not mentioned. The woman who checked us in was very firm. We were not going to be able to stay unless I produced a credit card to pay, with my name on it. There was no conversation or compromise. I did pay for it but it messed up our plan. We missed out on earning airline miles because we couldn’t use the credit card we intended to use. We travel together ALL the time and I have NEVER experienced that! She literally was turning us away because my name was not on his credit card, citing “company policy”. Huh??? That policy was never mentioned in the email. The property itself was fine but seem to cater to people who need it for an indefinite amount of time. It felt more like dealing with Management at a rough apartment building rather than the front desk at a hotel. It was a bad start to our weekend. BEWARE! You may suffer an impromptu policy change. We will NEVER choose Candlewood again.
