Good value for Miami certainly, but weird to have NO contact at all with a human being. Everything was done online and through text - no key just a code to enter room. Room was basic but okay, sort of retro. Parking was very cramped - but I guess at least it was free. Pool area looked okay but did not have time to swim.

Loved the walk-in shower...beautiful! Also liked all the murals and other decorating around the exterior. Parking was very convenient on-site. And Casey at the desk was very cordial and professional.

Room clean and cute property with a backyard where they serve bagels in the morning. Pool did not look clean so I passed. No carpet or box springs, mattress, pillows and bedding passed my neurotic test for signs of bugs. Close to the cruise port which was wonderful.

I stayed at this motel for two nights. It is located across from Legion Memorial Park. Independently owned, reconditioned motel, which appears to be from the 1950s. There are two sections and the front section is similar to a motel with two floors and the back section is similar to a hotel with 5 floors with stairs, but no elevator. I did not see the rooms in the back section. Reasonable price and my room was clean but small. I felt safe in this neighborhood. Friendly staff. Mini refrigerator and $5 water in the room. Wi-Fi in the rooms has acceptable upload and download speeds. Front desk sells snacks, wine, beer, and tequila. It’s not a Hilton or Hyatt hotel, so I had realistic expectations before I arrived. Large swimming pool and courtyard area. Room entry using an access code. Located on a busy four lane street so you will hear traffic in the front section, so you may want to request the back building for less street noise. This motel is good for people on a budget.

The New Yorker is the cutest little hotel and I had a great stay there. It has everything you could need and it is within walking distance to restaurants and shops. I loved the pool and courtyard area they had. You can tell it's an older hotel that has been given a face lift, so it's not perfect but it's clean and very charming. I do want to highlight that the staff was AMAZING! The two ladies who worked the front desk during my stay were polite and friendly and very helpful. The first person working when I arrived allowed me to check in right away, 4 hours early, free of charge. The woman who worked the evening shift was equally as lovely and kind. I wish I got their names because they made a huge difference in making my stay as wonderful as it was. All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants an eclectic, relaxed experience in Miami.

This hotel is clean and the beds were very comfortable. We encountered a fridge that wasn't working in the room and Cassandra, at the front reception had it swapped out quickly. Free parking is a bonus at this location as most hotels charge for oarking. I would highly recommend this hotel from the others in the area. It is about 10 mins drive to downtown Miami

Outstanding value. Very hip hotel in a hip section of Miami! Clean, refreshing pool, nice selection of rooms, all which have COLD A/C! The lush, extensive back patio area is an oasis and if I had not been so busy I could easily have spent entire days just hanging out back there! (They put out bagels/bananas/coffee in the mornings!) Very calm and relaxing. There are good food places within a few blocks of the hotel to eat, two of my favorites were Uptown 66 for tacos, and an Argentine place a few steps further that served the most delicious empanadas. If you are there on a Saturday, the farmer’s market across the street has amazing choices as well. This is the only place I will stay in Miami from now on, simply because of Koby and Yokasta at the front desk, who are so helpful and friendly and accomodating. I strongly recommend this hotel.

The front desk lady was very rude at check in. I had to correct her and she apologized after for “being rude but other guests just don’t listen”. We went in the room and there was a dead roach, floor wasn’t mopped or swept and there was poop on the toilet seat. Told the front & waited 2 hours before we left . They came and cleaned the toilet seat but not the floor. Bed was fine, hotel was cute. No parking at night. Told the lady and she said “I told you to park in the back yesterday.” I told her that she did not see any such thing. Of course she tried to argue. When I asked her for a pronoun, she had an attitude and said you already checked out . You don’t need to print out to check out. Very unpleasant.

The pictures looked nice online when I booked. I was not impressed to see the room. Floor was dirty. Wall had dark marks. I couldn’t put anything on the sink. No where to hang face or hand towels. Shower was not cleaned. So outdated. I was so glad my son and I had excursions and only needed the room to sleep. I will not return to this hotel.

It was the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The people were absolutely rude. When I told them there were ants everywhere, they said that there are bug. They can’t do anything about it. They refused to work with me to fix anything or with Hotels.com. This was the worst vacation experience.

During my stay at New Yorker customer service was nice, but my room wasn’t fully cleaned. There were stains on the baseboard and walls. The bed was made in a rush and had visible stain.

The place was so disgusting!! and you can tell they don’t care about their customers whatsoever never had anyone from the team reach out to me after I wasn’t able to stay there because of their bug infested flea motel!! I wouldn’t even stay here if I was looking to just party in Miami. this place is not as advertised as online. if you want clean sheets, if you wanna clean room look elsewhere. Right after looking at the room, I knew I couldn’t stay there because of how unwell managed it was and the bugs flying around it. There was hair all over the floor.. bleached out disgusting towels, they were supposed to be Brown, but they weren’t because of all the bleach and chemicals used on them like no I didn’t wanna wipe my body with that… the front desk person never apologize for how disgusting the room was and that I would not be able to stay there and had to go find a new place at 11 o’clock at night… never received any follow up from anyone with management. really would recommend going to one of the Hotels on the beach, they are better manage, and you can tell they care about their guest. This is where I ended up staying and had a great experience.. Check out the days inn or the Radisson on the beach!!

Parking was a bit confusing and tricky, because there is a restaurant next door that people use the motel parking lot for, so depending on the hour, you may not be able to find adequate parking. But I was warned of this in advance by the staff and was able to make it work. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again, and really enjoyed my stay. It was exactly what I needed.

Nice place to stay. Room was big. There were bagels and coffee in the morning which was nice. Taco place next door is good for dinner and there's other restaurants in walking distance. You do hear a lot of noise from the street at night but that's to be expected at a motel in a city. Tip for the hotel: a few extra hooks for towels and a shelf by the sink for toiletries would be nice additions to the bathroom.

The room was very clean, with a nice bathroom and a comfortable bed. However, there was no comfortable chair -- just 2 hard plastic ones -- and no dresser or chest of drawers, so we had no place to put our clothing. We had to live out of our suitcase for 3 days. If it were not for those two things I would be willing to stay again.

Our stay was great because we had the suite overlooking the pool as shown in the adjacent picture. The other rooms looked very basic. Great pool, enjoyable outdoor breakfast area, and friendly staff. Fairly isolated from the major attractions of Miami but this is an affordable and comfortable option, especially if you have a car.

The immediate area of the hotel is fine, but a few blocks west is very sketchy. 2 days after I left, I received notice that they put a charge on my card. I called the hotel directly and was informed I committed a deposit violation: either smoking, damages or drinking a bottle of water, and I could speak to a supervisor if I wanted to have this corrected. The phone number I was given for a supervisor was a general number/call center. When I called the front desk to verify the number I was informed the supervisor is very busy and I should just email. Very convenient that the penalty was added 2 days after I left and had no way of addressing the false accusation. Waiting to see if they fix this.

The front desk was so nice when I got caught in some storms on the way there. They stayed open for an extra 30 minutes so I could check in and have a place to stay for the night. Outstanding customer service.

We went in the room and there was a dead roach, floor wasn’t mopped or swept and there was poop on the toilet seat. Told the front & waited 2 hours before we left . They came and cleaned the toilet seat but not the floor. Bed was fine, hotel was cute. No parking at night. It was the nastiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The people were absolutely rude. When I told them there were ants everywhere, they said that there are bug. They can’t do anything about it. They refused to work with me to fix anything or with Hotels.com. This was the worst vacation experience.

This hotel is clean and the beds were very comfortable. We encountered a fridge that wasn't working in the room and Cassandra, at the front reception had it swapped out quickly. Free parking is a bonus at this location as most hotels charge for oarking. I would highly recommend this hotel from the others in the area. It is about 10 mins drive to downtown Miami

I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff is really friendly and helpful, the room was small and basic but very clean and had everything I needed. I was very comfortable, and it was in a location very close to the Adrienne Arsht Center, which I was visiting to see the symphony. Parking was a bit confusing and tricky, because there is a restaurant next door that people use the motel parking lot for, so depending on the hour, you may not be able to find adequate parking. But I was warned of this in advance by the staff and was able to make it work. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again, and really enjoyed my stay. It was exactly what I needed.

This hotel was soo cute, clean, bright, with a nice sized pool and a nice patio area. It’s in a good spot, with a park, a store and a good taco spot right across the street. It was close to shopping and right on the bus line. My daughter and I came for the weekend before our cruise and wanted to go to South Beach. The bus that stopped right on the corner took us to a connecting bus right down the street and we got to the beach in about 20-30mins. The lady at the desk was great as well. She was very helpful with directions and a pleasure to speak with. I will definitely be back.

Location was ideal for us with the bus stop near by to travel into Downtown. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious and has a fresh feel about it. Everything you would want in the room was there, great air conditioning.

I stayed at this motel for two nights. It is located across from Legion Memorial Park. Independently owned, reconditioned motel, which appears to be from the 1950s. There are two sections and the front section is similar to a motel with two floors and the back section is similar to a hotel with 5 floors with stairs, but no elevator. I did not see the rooms in the back section. Reasonable price and my room was clean but small. I felt safe in this neighborhood. Friendly staff. Mini refrigerator and $5 water in the room. Wi-Fi in the rooms has acceptable upload and download speeds. Front desk sells snacks, wine, beer, and tequila. It’s not a Hilton or Hyatt hotel, so I had realistic expectations before I arrived. Large swimming pool and courtyard area. Room entry using an access code. The property was so cute. There was a farmers market across the street. The patio and pool area was amazing. I loved lounging on the patio it was peaceful and trendy. I was able to walk to some very nice restaurants in the area. We stayed the night before our cruise and it was a short uber ride to the port. I highly recommend a stay here.

I took the local bus on biscayne blvd to get to downtown and tranfer at 36th street for south beach. The hotel has complimentary bagels, coffee, tea, in the morning and a nice pool Jose checked me in for 2 night. I also met Yokasta. The staff is caring.

Nice place to stay. Room was big. There were bagels and coffee in the morning which was nice. Taco place next door is good for dinner and there's other restaurants in walking distance. You do hear a lot of noise from the street at night but that's to be expected at a motel in a city. Tip for the hotel: a few extra hooks for towels and a shelf by the sink for toiletries would be nice additions to the bathroom.

Room clean and cute property with a backyard where they serve bagels in the morning. Pool did not look clean so I passed. No carpet or box springs, mattress, pillows and bedding passed my neurotic test for signs of bugs. Close to the cruise port which was wonderful.

The dining options were great!! In addition to the best taco place I’ve been to there was a pizza place 1/2 a block away with phenomenal pizza!! It’s not far from the beach. Downtown Miami was about 1/2 hour drive in the middle of the day. Miami traffic is pretty bad:( The Miami airport is not far. It’s a block and a half from Starbucks.

Ok place. Mexican restaurant right down the road had good food and great drinks! Uptown 66, little farther is blue collar. Both are very good. Not much for “breakfast” at the hotel, but everything was clean.

Outstanding value. Very hip hotel in a hip section of Miami! Clean, refreshing pool, nice selection of rooms, all which have COLD A/C! The lush, extensive back patio area is an oasis and if I had not been so busy I could easily have spent entire days just hanging out back there! (They put out bagels/bananas/coffee in the mornings!) Very calm and relaxing. There are good food places within a few blocks of the hotel to eat, two of my favorites were Uptown 66 for tacos, and an Argentine place a few steps further that served the most delicious empanadas. If you are there on a Saturday, the farmer’s market across the street has amazing choices as well. This is the only place I will stay in Miami from now on, simply because of Koby and Yokasta at the front desk, who are so helpful and friendly and accomodating. I strongly recommend this hotel.

Rooms were super clean, nice, and modern. Location was great and very convenient with the bus system and good restaurants in walking distance. Gave enough towels and shampoo upon arrival. The front desk was super helpful. The back though was a little more unkept, but had some good mangos. Great overall for the price!
